How long can the refurbished compressor lasts? They don't even cover the pipes during the grinding process to prevent the abrasive grinding wheel dusts and welding slag debris from entering the pipes.
We use to repair/refurbish motors, compressors, alternators and like back in 1980s when it was too expensive to buy new ones. They last as long as the factory ones, sometimes even longer. Used to cut the compressors open with hacksaws! :)..
As a person with 36 years in the Commercial and Industrial HVAC business…..I can only say one thing……… I have a feeling these compressors have a tail light warranty……..😑
If they took post cleaning cleanliness more serious I would say they did a good job, allowing grind metal into any ports probably gives these refurbs a relatively high failure rate. Just tape over the ports once the weld is done…
An excellent way to repair refrigerator compressors this way it will save quite a bit of money on a replacement unit, a brand new unit can cost more than the refrigerator itself, I am wondering is there any kind of a warranty on the repaired unit.
Here's what I saw. A compressor was cut open to remove the motor piece. A gasket was removed and the mating faces wet sanded with dirty water. The compressor was checked for functionality then reinstalled in a different case and welded back together. I didn't really learn a thing here. I saw no electrical testing except for functionality regardless of electrical condition. We have no idea why a good motor was put into a different case. We welded and then ground the weld with no protection from contaminants. I'm guessing the shell was changed for the form factor of the new shell.
IMHO, they look like they work inversely to a 2 stroke internal combustion engine, in that, an electric motor causes the piston to move up and down, and the input and output valves to open and close at the correct time, opposed to in an engine, where explosions inside of the piston cylinder, cause the piston to be forced up and down, and also opens and closes the intake and exhaust valves at the correct time, and turns the drive shaft.
This way of repairing is not at all recommended. These compressors are to be repaired in controlled atmosphere with recommended cleanliness. So, a factory repaired one is ideal instead of this crudely repaired one.
Make old junk useful again. It’s interesting to watch but for the time and effort where I live a brand new compressor is the only kind of equipment worth the effort of installing.
Their labor costs must be extremely low for this to be cost effective. I worked in a shop, remanufacturing semi-hermetic compressors from 1.5 up to about 120 tons and for me their process of just rebuilding the valve plates seems very dirty.
Nah, the exhaust side is obviously fine (sounds like a lobe pump) and the intake side will either immediately break the fine lobes of the pump, or they can't physically get there, getting trapped in the filter/housing etc, so it'll either work forever or immediately stop working.
Well he is replacing the pump seal and gaskets which means the refrigerant leaked out long ago. So instead of scrapping the compressor unit he just made new seals and pump in new refrigerant. These units must be designated as leaky. If the electrical coils were broken he should be replacing the motor.
Honestly? I think they do **not** recover the gas at all. I'm not even sure if the system is vacuumed properly before charging it with refrigerant. I'm also unsure if they re-add a proper amount of **clean** oil.
Why should they care? Different culture there. Government regulations would burden them when life is so cheap. You might not like it, but this is the reality in 90% of the world population.
Good job idol ipagpatuloy mo lang yan ginagawa mo

Probably last longer than a modern brand new one.
This compressors will last.… days if not hours.
Vocês são da Índia? Bom trabalho!!!! Parabéns

Why not
36 years you have been REPLACING not fixing or repairing.
You haven’t been repairing just replacing, which is no skill compared to what these guys are doing. This is normal. And they work!
@@majie1018 there is definitely skill in both replacing and repairing.

Thats the American way. Some countries don’t have the privilege to buy a new one, instead they have to actually fix it.
I've spent a couple of months in Pakistan. These people work on trust. If it's faulty after some time they will repair it again free of charge.
Those welds are so clean with a stick
Man dresses and sandals give them super powers. 💪
Good work 👍
Pumped repair krny k kiya changes lengy?

He replaced o rings and studs and a valve.

How long do you think it will be before we can order one of these rebuilt compressors on Amazon? I wonder if they might already be there???

Yo uso uno para hacer succión para una mesa, el que tenía se quemó, lo cambie pero no tiene fuerza para succionar.😢
ok I don't see it lasting long. with all the Tubs open to the air, and small meatal, particle's going in
It will be very good for making cooking pots, try one .
Will try

Tools everywhere, open pulleys and belts, no eye protection. Just because you work in a poor county doesn’t mean you have to be stupid.
Play at 0.75 speed to avoid the annoying speed up.
Raeeq da juggad jugadu
How much you charge for this repair
You compromised the the components inside with the heat from welding. That compressor won’t last long.
بہت ہی عمدہ ❤❤❤

Looks exciting

Grinding welds next to uncapped refrigerant lines 😢 That compressor is going to run for about 10 minutes and fail again.

They are un-necessarily tempting fate though when they could cap the pipes while doing the work.
I want to know more about your stickwelder and the stick you use, it glows blue and looks like a flat bar?!
Talent? you mean skillful.
I'd love to see how they, ahem, _recover_ the refrigerant! 🤣
Yes

Scrap compressor - most worse remade in pakistan - sold as brandnew with a brand name on it. WOW This is really skilled ^^
Tdk jelas permasalahan kompresor tersebut
I can only imagine how much metal fragments are in the oil sump 😅
Okay
Waste not.
Bhai plate aur tikli ka kit fitting chages ke sath kitna kharcha ata hai, aur yeh kitne din tak chalata hai, practical video ke liye dhanya wad.
Not safety, where is gogle n hand safety
This is a professional mechanic no need ppe..😅
Yeah you are right

Welcome to 1902
☺️☺️☺️
This will be what we will have in the western world soon at the current replacement rate.
So where is the talented skilled boy?
The title says talented skilled man not boy. If ur looking for boys then ur at the wrong place 😂😂😂
Cleaning solution is kerosene or isopar or something else?
They are not wearing any gloves or anything so it must just be water.... ;)
