Hola Sherrallin..Greg Fox here in Thailand .. another lovely relaxing vlog, Thank You..please show the routes..its not boring because you have-shown us before..its why we watch...to watch the Spanish and French roads roll by ... I hoping to see some of Alicante in this one .. I lived in Cullera for 10 years
Howdy from the Lone Star state of Texas. My late husband and I where one if the first husband and wife teams here in the states. This is before automatic transmissions and power steering I drove 13speed no power steering and sometimes I had to stand up with all my strength to turn a corner as I'm only 5'3 and small in size. We hauled swinging meat and produce Meat came from Texas and most produce came out of California While watching you I talk to the TV for things to share with you. I am 76yrs old now and retired many years ago but still missing over the road. I've been to every state. You are so cool. I couldn't imagined going thru all the different country's and knowing all the rules and regulations you must need to know. You broth taught you well.God bless you and be safe on the road.
Hi, Texas! Sounds so exciting 😁. I can’t imagine travelling so far without leaving the same country, Britain is tiny compared to America 😁 I don’t think I could do double manning now, been on my own for so long, although there are some teams from Spain & Portugal I see regularly. It’s a shame I can’t hear you through the tv 😂 Thanks for sharing your story, take care. 🥰
Yes I wish you could hear me also on TV as got alot to share. Please be safe driving. Will continue watching and talking to you at the TV. I can get away with that as I'm a old lady.😂😂😂
Lovely to see my home ferry port which is about six miles away from me. I haven`t sailed from Poole but I have done the Sandbanks Chain Ferry a couple of times!!🤣
Thanks again, yes Spanish are lovely people but when in a car they need to be in front, we lived in Spain and my wife said Avon skin so soft helps for mozzies, I don't know because every thing would bite me, hope you had a relaxing few days off
Yes - Portuguese drivers are even worse at having to be in front......opposite is generally true in Scandinavia, where drivers are quite happy to stay behind for hundreds of miles. North-South mentality?
@@GBtrucklady hi only a thought and i hope you don't mind me sending this but it would be interesting for your viewers if you was to talk about how you go into long distant trucking into europe ?? kind regards, Phil
@philsnaith6646 Yep I’m thinking of doing a short talky one about stuff people have asked me. I’m not very interesting 😂 so I’ll have to think what to say. 😁
Hi, love the vids. I've tried to workout some of your parking spots to save in my google maps folder. A couple of questions for from someone just getting into Euro driving. What do you do for headlight alignment on the DAF when entering Europe? Are they manually adjusted or do you use deflectors? Also, what equipment do you have to carry by law? Cheers, keep up the good work
valencia is a nice city i pick up from stadler rail parts for british trains mainly DRS at crewe not a bad ferry is the Balfour does it still leave at 17.30 hrs and a 5 hr crossing
Think It's really cool how you travel Europe one day and the next day you can be in great Britain as a driver in great Britain on multidrop i can't imagine doing your job i would get so lost even with my sat nav great video 👍
After watching several times you reversing, the penny has dropped, that regardless of experience etc, it is a very crawly, slowly move, that ensures a result. With baying tfc mounting up, I can understand why new dvrs have meltdown! Respect your thoughts & tips. Cracking vlog.
Hi buddie I've l Ioaded chichens for many years in fridge vans meal live on flat tops backloaded fruit into Sydney markets doubles mostly and direct loads to Melbourne markets 2:492:52
Loved the video as usual. Was that Tammworth in the east midlands ? I used to live near there 42 years ago lol. Anyway i look forward to your next video, cheers. 😊
Hayfever antihistamine pills help reduce the impact of mosquito bites etc in my experience. One pill per day so you build up your defences - cheap with supermarket own brand too.
Piriton (Citrazin Melanin) works the best for me but it’s like switching a light switch off 😂😂🤦🏼♀️ Cetirizine Hydrochloride isn’t too bad but I still only take it before bed. Nothing else works at all, believe me, over many years I’ve tried everything. 50% Deet is the best to keep them away, made by USA during the Vietnam war, pure chemical but usually works, I must have just missed a bit.
hi i have watched a few of your vids now, so you have a new subscriber here 😁 cant wait for your next 1, 1 question is there anything that you are not allowed to carry on a fridge trailer ? you could mention it in a video, maybe some other people might not have thought to ask......
Thanks for subscribing. There’s nothing I can think of particularly, size and weight dependent obviously. Anything alive such as live shellfish need aerating. Maybe some ADR products(dangerous goods) too as some need ventilation but I’m not sure as I’m not ADR trained.
I bet it was easier to understand the Spanish in Valencia and the French in Cherbourg than it was the Geordies in Newcastle ha ha Your right though the North East is a lovely place im from Middlesbrough ,have you ever delivered here ??
Yes we used to deliver fruit & veg to Middlesbrough years ago but I can’t remember who to. Also did a lot to Gateshead and car parts to Newcastle at one time. I once brought a moving platform into the Port of Tyne. It was basically a hugh set of remote controlled wheels that went under a corner of a piece of oil rig, so they could move it around.
Such a small world as they say , i used to work in the Fruit warehouses in Middlesbrough at a firm called Fred Halls but the stuff we got from Spain was usually delivered by Spanish drivers and sometimes a firm from Rotherham i think they where called Pawsons ?? There was 3 warehouses in Middlesbrough , Fred Halls, Wilson and Leatherland and William Hardys , i started driving in 89 but due to very, very unseen seen circumstances i didnt pursue my career in HGVs even though it was what i had my heart set on from being a young lad , great videos keep them coming and Thanks for your reply :)
On the first collection, was there enough room to pull in forwards past the loading bay so you could then reverse out and face the right way? I'm a newbie so would have looked to not reverse a long way down a one way street as I would probably mess up and have to pull forward a few times annoying the local drivers even more. Thanks as always for the uploads
😂😂 I’m not a glutton for punishment, nor do I do things just for RUclips (🤔 oh yeah, I didn’t record it 🤣). If there had been an easier way, believe me I’d have done it! Something you learn is to talk to the “back door” staff. They will have seen hundreds of vehicles loaded, they will usually know what works and what doesn’t. Good luck with your career. 😁👍🏻
How weird is this just watched your video while sitting on a loading bay at argos Burton on trent driving round to get out what did i see one of your trailers 😂😂
Good morning, I've not done continental work before, but can you please answer a question for me, can you run on a Sunday if you are heading to a port, with non perishable goods?
I believe so. When I took my Operator CPC, many years ago, there was a thing called “harmonising borders”, this was to allow just this. I haven’t heard that it’s changed but if you are thinking of doing this, I suggest you contact the International department of The Road Haulage Association for up to date information. It’s much better than relying on hearsay or FB experts.
Are there still problems with migrants in the ports Sherralin? Didnt see any around cherbourg as you drove in. Really enjoy the videos, never been down to Spain. Would love to someday

Yes easily doable. If you have more than one driver you wouldn’t really need an overnight, just take it in turns. Or an overnight on A4 perhaps near Santa Elaina or Bailan. To be honest it’s a nice drive, take a few days, use the Paradoes paradores.es/en They are in some great places, really interesting towns. Toledo and Talavera de La Reina near Madrid are amazing places. Salamanca too. It really depends on what you want to do and see.
