How is it possible to be this uncomfortable with seeing this background normally so consistent with only a few minor changes every day being morphed into a supernatural crime scene, and somehow still want to see more?
These space monsters are the closest thing in this game that resemble horror. Like some of these are truly horrifying! They are great! If this game ever gets a major update again. I hope they lean a little bit more into this horror side. It works surprisingly well and the game doesn't loose it's dark humor.
I both love and hate that they are included in the same perspective as normal. It’s your normal lounge, but destroyed, the day counter floating around, your messages from ASTRO are melting, all your supplies are gone, all that’s left is a monster often bigger than your home, in space, an endless amount of uninhabitable, well, space. In most bad endings, there’s an outside drawing, like “from outside of your place, a group of bandits swarm your ship”. But here, that’s not needed, you don’t need to leave the ship to know you screwed up and are dead dead dead.

I remember when I was watching my sister playing through this game and we encountered the tardigrade ending. It was scary as shit, but I loved it.

Ya, its based on a skill check/save throw type thing. So it's kinda random on whether you get a pass or fail on dying.
