Depression is a sad thing and it is not well adjusted in most people myself included. We managed to land on the moon before the 70's, but to deal with basic human emotion seams to be much harder

"but to deal with basic human emotion seams to be much harder" the brain is the most complex mechanism we know of. It's more complex than a space craft, the most powerful computer or anything we've built so far by an order of magnitude. We're learning a lot about the brain, but we've barely scratched the surface.

@@mehmettan3570 Haha, is this bait, or are you being serious? If so, you seem a little bit misguided, my friend. And I am sorry to hear you are struggling with depression.

I get depressed time after time but what will happened if you turn it off, happiness will lose its meaning because its lost its counterpart. We are going to live in a world that everyone is happy for no reason and really that's its a depressing thing but we can't feel it, because of depression centered is turn of... Its like a world with all morning and evening doesn't come around thats pretty unnatural...

Yeah but he’s not talking about eliminating sadness. He even says it himself that sadness is very important. All he’s trying to say is that there can be a cure for extreme Depression (emphasis on extreme) that is running and ruining our lives. With extreme depression you don’t feel happiness in the first place anyways.

Martin Seligman is disgusting!!! He should be in jail. He conducted experiments on dogs, giving them electrical shocks while he watched them whine. Look up "learned helplessness." He's an embarrassment.
