What can you do about it? Well until you get editing access to the windows kernel which includes the updates engine you will never be able to do anything about it. How do you beat a game that cheats every single time and never gives you a fair fighting chance to win you stop playing it
It's not rocket science. It's not complicated to understand leave windows make plans little by little baby step by baby step to eventually leave windows. And I've got news for you Apple Macintosh is just as Lockdown if not more like down so in the end you're trading one devil for another.
The only way to truly free yourself and as well as what is supposed to be your computer from anyone is to go to lenox. Lennox meant cinnamon will be your easiest most gentle transition away from windows.
And it's not as difficult as some make it out to be. You start off by looking up cross-platform software alternatives for the proprietary things that you're used to using to get things done with.
Once you learn that you can use those software to get done the same exact things you could otherwise versus the proprietary software brand name versions you were using then that's well over half the battle of being able to switch to linux.
The rest is just occasionally learning where things are stored and what they do and what they mean. Remember you didn't learn how to use Windows overnight or even over the course of one week so you need to give yourself patience and Linux patience when you learn it but you can set up a true safe dual booting system while not having to worry about wind turd updates messing up anything either and this involves ensuring you don't install the Linux operating system on the same storage drive that Windows doesn't live on as well as making sure you disable quick boot fast startup both in your graphical Windows desktop environment as well as your UEFI bios selection first
Sincerely no sarcasm no bad vibes meant here I will be happy to walk hand-in-hand with anyone he wants to get this setup and be able to test drive Linux on Hardware without risking his or her Windows data or Windows installation or programs.

Windows 11 forced updates are a virus you can't get rid of. None of the permanent solutions on his earlier video worked. It looks like the best you can do is run a delaying action.
EDIT: Tried the gpedit config, did absolutely nothing. Just more disappointment.
