This video is amazing! As someone who experienced childhood trauma, I used to feel bad for people and what they were going through. Now, from Mark's videos, I realize that's not a reason to connect with someone. There's other buckets and needs to consider. I'm so happy from that mindset shift! 😊
MARK!! This video is incredible! I have never ever heard anyone explain trauma and trauma bonds so well as you did in this video and I have been on a self development journey for 5 years! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
i feel like i knew what trauma bonds were prior to watching . . . but this is the best explanation ive come across, straight to the point & great analogies !
I think trauma is different for everybody. Specifically for the tiger scenario, if it lunges at you but not necessarily escapes can still be considered as trauma. Just because the end result wasn't traumatizing doesn't mean the initial scenario wasn't 🙂
Yep, depends on the pre-existing factors (i.e. the capacity) of the individual. It's true that individuals higher on the neuroticism spectrum would be more likely to have that event exceed their capacity.

what a great way of explaining. Getting used to lower standards than before is a sure warning sign. Thank you for this insight!
