- Here is my PIC line check with the new company, Alerion Aviation. Due to this aircraft having CRT screens rather than LCD screens, I have to get the camera frame rates synced up, so I'm sorry for the flashing on the instrument displays. This is an issue we haven't had to deal with before, but I'll get that taken care of for the next flight. I hope you guys enjoy!

Great to see you back in the seat flying. Thank you @like2fly I am working on some options to improve the tail number thing. Next video should be better
@@CorporatePilotLife maybe you could get your copilot to say "corporate pilot life" through the headset (when in the air so the background noise is similar) and dub that over the call-sign throughout the video, not the perfect solution but may be a bit smoother than a silence in the audio. Don't tell the new company your viewers are air enthusiast's and know how to find out all their flights and tail numbers on the interwebs in seconds.

Thanks for explaining the blinking screens. I have seen this before on other channels - never knew why this happened on some channels, but not others. Makes perfect sense, CRT vs. LCD. Not a huge deal for me - I just love watching things happen out the cockpit glass! I'm easy to keep happy, lol.

THANKS! I work near Farmingdale (not in the flying biz). Had lunch today at 32 (if you know where the hot dog/egg cream lady has her truck). Never flown into or out of Republic so it was great to see it from the air. Even in the dark could make out Route 110 and the Southern State Parkway. Good luck on your new gig!

Sean, Welcome to Farmingdale, NY! Your Co-Pilot adequately described the airport as OLD. Other than Corporate Jets, SUNY Farmingdale has an Aviation Program which uses the airport for training. No commercial traffic. I live 10 mins from the airport. If I knew you were coming, I would have taken you out to dinner. Love those Captain Stripes! You payed your dues and are more than deserving. John would be proud of you! Loved the night landing which was very clear on the GoPro. Best of luck in your new job!

P-47s were a bit before my time, I saw them launch the F105 program in the late 50s
That has to be a pain in the butt to have to go through and blank the tail number audio throughout the video. And it’s annoying as a listener but I get it. I promise not to harass Alerion! And thanks for taking the trouble, good to see you flying again!

Maybe there is an automated feature that can search thru the video and replace the call signs with "Presidential 69". Hahaha
I can't even be mad we don't get a tail number because that's such an incredible pain in the ass to edit out I just have to respect the work Sean's gotta put in to clear the videos.
Yeah, I don't feel the "need to know" tail numbers any more than passenger IDs.

I agree, just replace the audio breaks with something made up. Kind of annoying, maybe we will get used to it.

Really nice to see you back Shaun, and glad they let us join along for the flight. Can understand why they don't want tail numbers included, especially since you'll be in different birds often, but that's got to be a pain in editing. So people need to realize it's understandable and no tracking a plane as it will be different ones now, and the company is fine in doing that. And they are good to let us ride along with the cameras/audio we do get. Hope you and your family, and all the viewers are having a Bless Holiday Season, that continues through the New Year!
