    Have the same problem right now. Had to be towed from downtown in traffic! Now I must get to it. Just like you did. Thanks for the info and the inspiration.

    Just for safety reasons, please turn your blocks with the cell up and put a board across it.That will be the strongest part of your block....
    Also, never put metal jacks on the concrete block.They will crack... ALWAYS have a wood in between

    Great video. You have a lot of extra safety for your lifting of you vehicle, but I would never use the cinder blocks. Use solid concrete blocks are a lot stronger. Not trying to be negative of your video.

    This is great! Plus that's a great looking suburban (lol I got the same exact one) but mine has the barn doors but thanks man my fuel pump is kicking the bucket soon so I gotta replace mine as well. Any electrical issues that you've had yet?

    I know it's been two years since the video came out but is it a flex fuel vehicle? Cause I know the flex fuel Tahoe's, Suburbans, and I believe Silverado also have fuel filters That should of been checked and or changed as well.

    • @jamesgibbs5608
      @jamesgibbs5608 Год назад

      This only has 2 lines so it should be a flex fuel. The fuel filter is on the drivers side frame rail in front of the tank across from the transfer case if it is 4x4

    Did you unplug any otherr lines before dropping the tank not shown, other videos have people disconnecting multiple lines

    Hey Brother thanks for the video, Question..How did you lower the gas tank and how did you lift it back up again ? Thank you

      A small Jack is your best friend during this job, that and an empty gas tank 😎

    • @jamesgibbs5608
      @jamesgibbs5608 Год назад

      A jack or an arm. It is best to try to drain the fuel into some gas jugs if it has a lot of fuel in it.

    Is the a flex fuel? I'm not sure of my 2004 suburban has 2 ports or 3 on the fuel pump.

    • @jamesgibbs5608
      @jamesgibbs5608 Год назад +1

      Flex fuel is 2 ports on the pump and gas is 3 ports according to the pumps listed on Rock Auto.

    Man you cut a lot of video out of this one. Why didn’t you show how hard it was to get the hoses , lines and straps off and how hard it was to get the pump out of the tank ? Not to mention how hard it was for you to get the tank down and then back up and into place ? I know why. Because the video would have been about six hours long. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
