Without going into a lot of details, I know of someone who was assaulted a day before her family member's wedding and not only was she demoted from being a bride's maid because of it, but said family member also didn't want the police involved bc she didn't want her special day ruined. Talk about victim blaming. They even saw the person in the act, and let him go.

My daughter told no one she was being abused. Her boyfriends mom saw bruises on her arms and made her and their 2 kids move in with her, and she broke up with her boyfriend...a few months later he said he was taking the girls to the park. He put them in his car and then shot my daughter multiple times in the kitchen. He then killed himself, he didn't die until after his mom found them and he arrived at the hospital. My daughter Samantha never thought her ex Jordan would kill her.. you cannot trust abusers, you have to cut all ties somehow. Its harder if you have kids. If Kenny didn't kill Egypt, maybe it was someone that was jealous of Egypt. Its sad that Egypts mom cannot see that an abuser is the most likely killer, however I agree with not coming out with no evidence that he committed the murder. I will add that since I am 46, a lot of older people either don't want to believe who and what abusers actually are capable of or were taught the "boys will be boys" mentality. I never liked my daughters ex. He always seemed controlling to me. I hope this case is solved for her loved ones.

    • @TheStar798
      @TheStar798 5 лет назад +7

It may even be the reason he asked for the dog - to cover his tracks and pamper the dog before investigators are around to see how the dog reacted. Plus those little dogs are like some cats: make a fuss of me, and I don't care what I've seen you do to someone else (somewhat self centered and silly); if this had been a dog bred to 'protect the herd' like a German Shepherd, Husky, a Ridgeback or a hound the killer would have been shredded during the attack or any time the dog sees him after. Sickening that there are no leads on the monster that did this! I do believe the killer will boast, or threaten a new partner with a confession - justice for Egypt will come in the next five years 💐

The thing is, if it's premeditated with a gun as the weapon, then the person goes in knowing what they're going to do and how they're going to get away with it. Gunshot to the back of the head= they didn't want to look at the victim's eyes before they shot them. This means they could've been feeling guilt and knew that they may change their mind if they looked into her eyes. That leads me to believe she may have opened the door for someone (likely Kenny) she trusted, been ambushed with a gun and lead to the bedroom. She could have trusted that she may be able to talk this person into dropping the weapon, which is why she didn't fight back. We really don't have enough evidence of blood spatter, positions, time of death, etc., to come to a closer conclusion.

@@TheSpasticAvenger not necessarily. She might've just been tied for "aesthetic" purposes (as morbid as that is), especially considering that they were Christmas lights. Or someone who thought they would actually hold her down, i.e an idiot or someone under the influence. It's been a minute since I watched this video, but if I recall, doesn't she get tied up post mortem too or no? Also, it's mentioned that she is quite good at kicking ass, even to men, so it was likely just someone she knew that knew how strong she was, and didn't want to fight her. Not necessarily that they were weaker than her. I also don't know how large she is but she seems very tall and Amazonian- like too. Most of these are slight generalizations about the case without rewatching the video, so correct me if I'm wrong about any of it.

    To whom it may concern,
For future reference, once someone is an ex, you owe them no more explanations. People have GOT to stop acting like "Oh, he/she needs to hear it from me". No, the psycho doesn't need to hear ANYTHING from you. The SECOND they became an ex, any claim they may have previously had on your time or any say in your choices is O.V.E.R.
Not blaming her whatsoever but we, as a collective, need to stop pretending like relationship/breakup violence is a thing that doesn't happen often. It happens all the time. It is also most likely to happen when the relationship ends & when you move on. It happens to both genders. Men are more likely to perpetuate it but it also is not uncommon for men to be abused this way too, just usually to a lesser extent.
If someone can't seem to let go (man or woman), that is a problem. That is something that needs to be reported. That is something to which there needs to be immediate consequences. I also get pretty tired of people who just cannot hear the other person. No means no. If you aren't mature enough to deal with hearing that, you are not mature enough for ANY romantic relationship. Period.
If one person is no longer happy & wants out you don't have a relationship anymore anyway. You have something else entirely & it ain't good. Let them go, heal, move on & find that one person who "gets" you. Also I suggest finding yourself a good therapist. This has been a friendly PSA.
    Sincerely,
    Me
P.S. Have a great day & good luck out there. It sounds savage to be looking for a relationship. Glad I don't have to do that.

In which room was she murdered in? That itself shows a lot - maybe it was one of her friends (that Kenny slept with) and she came to talk to her. If she was killed, for example, in her bedroom, it had to most likely be someone she trusted enough to let them further into her apartment.
The christmas lights might be explained with her moving and cleaning up or maybe the killer came to return the lights from when she had borrowed them to someone?
Also my first instinct was that she was tied up afterwards aswell! But maybe they pointed a gun at her and that's why she didn't show any signs of struggle.
In my opinion it could be Kenny but it could also be one of her friends (who had a thing with Kenny).

    2022 UPDATE:
Egypt was home watching a movie when, according to court testimony, two men broke into her duplex, shot her to death, and wrapped her up with Christmas lights.
Those men, Timothy Eugene Moore, and Shandon Ray Groom, are headed to trial later this year. A third man, Shane Lamar Evans, has a competency hearing this summer.
Moore is charged with first-degree murder, felony murder, and first-degree home invasion, as well as four counts of felony firearm. Groom is charged with first-degree murder, felony murder, and first-degree home invasion, and three counts of felony firearm. Evans is charged with felony murder and first-degree home invasion.
According to court testimony, Evans did maintenance at the duplex where Covington lived, and he knew that her neighbor's home would be empty that weekend because the man was at Electric Forest music festival.
That man kept marijuana in his home, was a licensed caregiver, and had talked about it on local programs, according to court testimony. His home had been burglarized prior to Covington’s murder and marijuana had been stolen.
Evans told investigators that he was with his brother and cousin when they wanted weed, so they decided to go steal some from the empty duplex.
Evans said he drove by the home and pointed out which one was the correct one. Moore, Groom, and another person were allegedly in a truck behind him.
Evans also claimed he explained which door the men needed to enter.
However, Groom and Moore are accused of entering the wrong side of the duplex, and found Covington watching a movie.
"We know that they were in this home for about four or five minutes. While they were in the home, Miss Covington was bound in Christmas lights, and they took a cushion off a couch and put it over her head when they shot her in the head," said Victoria Shackelford, the assistant prosecuting attorney in Wayne County.
In an interview, Evans said Moore texted him, "Wrong door." Evans said he didn't remember replying to the text and claimed he found out about Covington's death when he saw a news report.
While Evans didn't go in the house, he faces felony murder, a charge that is used if someone dies during the commission of a felony, in this case - home invasion.
It was initially believed that Covington knew who killed her, and Van Buren police named an ex-boyfriend as a person of interest. However, more than three years passed with no arrests.
Her family pushed for Michigan State Police to handle the investigation, and in August 2020, MSP took over.
Just a few months later, in November 2020, Evans and Moore were arrested. Groom was taken into custody in December 2020.
Cell phone records and GPS locations were used to place Evans, Moore, and Groom at the scene of the crime.
Prosecutors said the men also stole Covington’s cell phone, which pinged to the same location as their phones before they threw it away.
They’re still awaiting trial as of September 2022.

I got my ass beat by an ex and never told my mom. He acted like a perfect gentleman around her. The mom is sadly in denial. She doesn't want to believe he was hurting her daughter without her knowing it.

She mightn't have let her killer in per-say, it's after 10pm the door bell rings or there's a knock on the door, Ruby runs to the door barks, wags tail, indicating she knows the person, Egypt opens the door, the killer puts a gun into her face, she backs up and he enters the home.
She was found lying in fetal position which indicates to me, she was told to knell down, she was shot in the back of the head which is an execution, but the trajectory of the bullet will determine that hopefully at a trial. The killer then or while she was knelling tied her hands behind her with the Christmas lights, which were more likely in the room she died in as she was moving items.
Her biological Mother's attitude to the POI is worrying to say the least.

For anyone watching this in 2021 it turns out she was murdered by three men who mistakenly broke into her house instead of her neighbors house. They were intending to steal drugs as the neighbor was a dealer and he was away that night. They broke into the wrong house and weren’t expecting anyone to be there and shot Egypt as she sat on her couch watching a movie. All three of them were at the house for about 4/5 minutes they were arrested in November 2020 and are all facing charges including first degree murder, first degree home invasion, felony murder and felony with a firearm!
Hopefully Egypt gets her justice and these men are locked up for a long long time

Her mom was exactly right the whole time...Egypt didn't feel safe because of the drug environment right next door to her. And that lead to her death. So heartbreaking.
