Lita Ford is definitely one of a kind. She didn’t just open the door for female rockers she kicked the fuckin thing down off it’s hinges!!! Lita has strong sexy moves and amazing voice and most importantly a Wizzard guitarist!!
What an underrated lead guitar player and performer. Joan Jett (who I love) gets more attention for her rhythm guitar work than Lita does for her superior lead guitar ability. Another one of her songs I love is Can't catch me.
Good point. I saw the Runaways movie a while back and even then the characters of Cherie and Joan were more looked on. I love Joan Jett. But Lita Ford gets my kicks. And I'm a female saying this. 😁
I ADORE her since day 1, she was already in her own lane as a teen, inserted some heavy riffs for The Runaways till the end and then take control of her own carreer more metal oriented. She could of been great in the thrash scene, i wonder why that didn't happen but as far as i know i think the Osbournes did a nice job helping with the promotion of Lita and booking gigs... the 90's felt promising even if in between it was a rare/confusing transition time for metal, she still make some cool records to revisit (Dangerous curves, Stiletto, Black, etc). Most musicians of today could learn a thing or two from her, underrated af.

@@dwj1231 it's more than that. I mean, look at one of Lita's contemporary bands, The Bangles, featuring her own former Runaways bandmate Michael Steele. They were all beautiful women not showing any tattoos and piercings, and they still rocked - not as hard as Lita but WAAAAAAAAAAAY more than 99% of today's mainstream music. It's just a cultural change away from the rock & roll mindset. Hopefully that pendulum will swing back the other way soon though, because most of today's music is boring, anemic crap.
