Have you ever been stuck? I appreciate all of you here!
Yes I been stuck in my parking lot once on my 06 Toyota Corolla
@@subzero___we’ve all been there! 😄
Haha recently I’ve been stuck on skibase in Kyrgyzstan, in fresh powder snow approximately 30cm of fresh snow, I was just plowing back and forth but finally managed to get out on 4wd CRV 05, it was fun 😄
@@MuhametgidenWow! Glad you got out 😄
An old man here. I always carry a shovel and some asphalt roof shingles. Dig it out, use the shingles for traction. When you get going, you dont have to stop to pick up the shingles, like you would have to do with your floor mats if you used them for that purpose. Keep a tow strap with you. Look needy is someone comes by and they will give you a pull out. Once you get moving, keep moving until you get back to clear pavement. Happy trails, bro.
Great tips. Thanks for sharing them!
I'm sorry but i laughed so hard when the shovel broke 😭
I only got stuck once in 8 inch deep snow in my RAV4 😊. A bit of digging underneath and it was unstuck 😊
Wow, Awesome!
Such relaxing to watch content! Always looking forward to your latest uploads!
Thank you, super appreciated!! 👊
For all the AWD ppl. I recommend the Firestone weather grip if you life in a winter climate. Air down to 20 psi before you get stuck . 30+ psi in tires don't belong offroad. You gotta air down
Good point, thanks for sharing 👊
6:16 I wonder how that could have happened.
Haha, because I’m the one that asked for this video 😂 At least you got out. I haven’t had to use my center diff yet but I did skimp out on shoveling my driveway. That awd cuts right through it.
Right on! Thank you for watching and supporting the channel! 😎👊
Glad to see you dug your way out! Snow and ice can be tricky at times.
Thanks! No doubt 🙌
I had 2008 Toyota Camry that I got stuck in the snow years ago. Someone came by and helped dig me out after which I had to rock the car back-and-forth to get some momentum. Afterwards kept going through a red light so that so I didn't get stuck again. I got stuck to begin with because I stopped at a light😊
another cool video thank you for posting 😊
Wow, sounds like a snow day! Thank you for watching 😎
Dropping a few psi always helps, but was the central locking diff really working? It seemed like only one well spinning, which would indicate open diffs, not sure though. Great video and tremendous effort digging yourself out with a broken shovel
Much appreciated! 🙌
Most likely the camera angle didn’t allow full view of what wheels were spinning on either sides, hopefully!
I've used my floor mats under the tires before to gain a little traction!
That’s a good trick!
Maxtrax are too pricey for what they are but even a set of the cheap knockoffs can be a lifesaver when you need traction
Those would have been great!
I never go anywhere without them😊
I’ve been thinking about getting a portable winch to keep in my trunk in case this ever happens to me.. or to help someone else out.
I’m thinking a winch that would connect to a tree or something and then one of those kinetic ropes. I drive a Corolla so nothing heavy duty / mounted to the vehicle haha
Not a bad idea! It’s nice to at least to have a recovery rope + shovel and booster cables/ battery pack. Depending on personal situation… Thanks for watching!
Thanks for a very watchable video. I'm not sure why when you were stuck and on diff lock, why the front wheels didn't turn. Maybe my expectations are wrong?
With AWD and a center diff lock, the center diff locked will ensure equal power to the front and rear axles, but the AXLE differentials still let power go to the wheels with the least traction. All the wheels will not turn at the same time when stuck unless you have a locking AXLE differential. Hope this helps! 😄
@@Owen_Earl Thanks for that. I have a 2010 Santa Fe, but I've never used it in very slippy conditions. Keep up the good work.
You need to get the windshield fixed or replaced before it gets worse dude.
Definitely! Thanks for mentioning
I want to take my new rav4 out in the snow but we don’t have any deep snow yet.
Hopefully soon! Snow is fun 😎
what psi you running in that ? mine does amazing in deeper snow at 26-28 but im on toyo at3 with 225/75/16
Running the stock tire size and pressure. That sounds like a sweet setup! 😎
Get a glock e-tool shovel, theyre indestructible and CHEAP and great for this purpose
Cool! I’ll look into it, thanks. 😎
how bout the yellow light thats on, dont you think its telling you something to fix
You may be on to something 😅
