R&G do great products, I have a few on my z400. Love the cat at the end. 👍 I have small hands as well and winter gloves are a no no for me as well, I can’t move my fingers or feel anything. So normal summer gloves and heated grips are spot on.
Heated grips are brilliant. I needed a dab of glue on the throttle side as it started to slip with use. At the other end of the body, heated socks really help too. With the extremities covered and your trunk already warmed by your hoodies, winter riding is not the pain it could be, road conditions permitting. Have fun.
Yeah I forgot to mention in the video, I tested them as they heated up and they didn't budge, but to be safe I'll use some of their glue, better safe than sorry
Regarding the slippery tech slope, my seven year old bike has ABS and heated grips and I don’t feel the need for anything more. I wouldn’t be without heated grips now but my thumbs still get cold, I don’t know if it’s just the way I grip my handlebars because I’ve not heard of others with the same complaint. I’ve literally just fitted a very cheap pair of handlebar mitts to my bike to see if they will do the trick in conjunction with my heated grips but I haven’t been out yet for a proper test 🇬🇧
Heated grips are the greatest invention in the history of motorcycles. I've had a set of Oxford grips fitted to every bike I've owned since 2004, except this year cos the new 1000SX came with Kawasaki heated grips.....which are rubbish compared to Oxfords. There's just enough heat in them that I might not get frostbite, but that's it.
This is how it starts. You treat yourself by getting heated grips & next thing you know, you're complaining that you need radar-assisted cruise control & a quick shifter like an old man.
@@TipToeBikersonce you get a better bike ( nothing wrong with your bike whatsoever btw) you’ll get CC heated grips . I’ve got the Furygan D3 Kevlar heated gloves 🧤 heated grips are good but if you have heated gloves trust me you won’t need heated grips but it’s good to have both 🎉
Totally with you on heated grips over gloves; I don't like bulky gloves either, and the 'wire yourself to the bike' type heated clothing looks like a constant frustration to me, I faff enough as it is. Side note, we're not even going to mention you having to roll up the sleeves on your own hoodies 🙊😆
first timer with heated grips on my H2sx se I most say I am with you on them love them I road 170 mile round trip at 5 -6 deg C hands was nice and warm but you cant have big gloves with them as the heat wouldn't make it through I don't think. I do find myself riding with my hand wrapped around the grip though and not covering the brake / clutch but I think its better to have warm hands to react than cold hands that don't move lol plus ride a lot slower with the road temps a lot less grip
In case you've not heard of it, I use and love (recommend), a Healtech Thunderbox for connecting accessories to the bike. It's great because it auto-detects when the bike is running, and with a short delay, THEN powers on the circuits connected to it. So you connect the TB to the battery once, and then up to 4 (or 8, depending on which model you buy), accessories. When you turn the bike off, it auto powers-off those accessories. It's also got a built in "electronic" fuse (2x "banks" on the 8-port version), and I think surge and over-voltage protection. It's the nuts, LOVE mine! ;) :) (see AndyManCam channel for review/fitting stuff! :) ) Means your heated grips (in particular), can't flatten the battery if you forget to turn them off! :) (my heated grips from Yamaha are fab and already have a built-in detection/off-timer, but through the TB just makes sense :) )
@TipToeBikers Yep, my aftermarket Yamaha ones do too (I LOVE them, with the button and light integrated into the left grip). The TB though also provides a smart fuse and a single connection to the battery, which is especially useful if you need to have anything else connected to the battery!! :) The Ultimate Addons ones are also another fantastic product (also with the button/light built into the left grip) - can you tell I am a fan on the control-box-less ones...? ;) :) :D FTW!! :D
Hi Ella, I have only just discovered your channel and I'm finding it very entertaining. In addition to your new heated grips have you considered handlebar muffs?
use hair spray to put the grips on its slippery when wet (bonjovi 86) but dries sticking them on. when you need to get them off again just get them wet with water it breaks the bond. Any old hair spray will work from your 99p bargain madness to that expensive overpriced stuff you girls buy
Cool vid! Hair spray is the best for getting grips on nice and easy 🙃
Wow I did not know that 😂

If you want to warm up your body the “kemimoto”heated vests are really good and thin enough to wear comfortably under a jacket.
Defo will look into that for when I do longer distances, would be great to do some mini tours next year

Good to see the face behind the helmet 😊 gonna get some heated grips for my bike ready for when i do my mod 2
One of the best investments for a bike... along with R&G crash protection of course 😆 Good luck for your mod 2!
@TipToeBikers it got cancelled due to bad weather 😔😭 been looking at crash protection for my sprint rs aswell 😊

Buying gear from Decathlon intended for ski is my secret. I put it on the boil to de@th as its 8c …
Haha yep I can see that working 😂
@ idea for your next video, headlight upgrades. I changed my bulb for a LED one and now can actually see where i am going in the dark .
Petition to have a cat break in every video from here on out🙏🏼😂
If he blesses me with his presence 😂😂

Haha slippery slope 😂

Hahaha I'm wearing the one that would go over my gear... rather oversized without my jacket on underneath 😂😂

Have you thought about handguards? That'll keep the wind/chill off your top of your hands and give you a bit more protection from rain as well.
Yeah, personally not a fan of the look of them for my bike but a great option
TipToe Mechanics 🙌
Hehe
Great video, also......I JUST BOUGHT A LIGHT BLUE HOODIE!!
Thank you!!

Hey, I'm not a fan of them purely aesthetically for my bike 😅. I've found just heated grips are all I need. Thanks for watching!
