I think most people didn't understand this video. I watched how there was fun by all. I have fun watching people have fun, this is why I subscribed to this channel and others in the first place.
a little folk, a little punk, a little grunge (well maybe more than a little grunge), and a lot of people enjoying themselves and each other. beautiful.
now that's freedom ,,thanks Eric that's the slab i thought it was,, peace love and music,,a different environment,,,were you can be who you want to be,,,not worrying about what others think ,,rock on
No matter the sound its all about people getting together and having a good time if more people had gatherings like this there would be less violence in the world thanks for the vid Eric...Keep On RV'n my friend
Was waiting for Dylan, Peter Paul & Mary, and some Buffalo Springfield to show up and start singing some anti-war songs....was like the geriatric version of Woodstock! LOL...
Now thats what Slab is all about. Its not how good you are but how hard you try! The fun factor is 100% Kinda like a night at the Karaoke bar! Real average people having a good time...and yes there are always some gems at the bottom of the barel.
First! Been watching nearly all of your videos lately, really nice inspiration of lifestyle traveling around. been thinking about it allot and it seems like something that would fit me perfectly. Great video as always Eric :) peace out, and do say hi to the cat
I was hoping a slab city Range video would come out around this time. It's some fun music there, I hope you're having an awesome time! Say hi to Mike for me.
I get it, people out to have a great time and not be judged. Most people crapping on these guys have never played an instrument or sang in public. Thanks Eric keep up the great work.
Not true, Rick. I crapped on these guys, but I play many instruments, and had I been there I would have joined in with my tambourine. There is true freedom when you can just be yourself and not try to live up to or keep up with....in this case your fellow musicians. Doesn't change that almost none of it was much to write home about.
Guess I got to say it. About 80-90% of them not only had zero talent, but should be locked up for disturbing the peace. Even if one wsa drunk or high, that could not sound good. 2 had some talent, the rest were just scary bad!
Jenven Terra Where did I speak of perfection? I gave credit to 2 of them that actually has some talent, but the rest, well, frankly, they were starving for talent and should look to others to get their entertainment from.
***** Yes, I hear your very uneducated voice loud and clear. If you cannot hold a civil tongue you should not speak. Do you hear me you uneducated fool?
***** It's easy to be you behind a monitor. If we were face to face, you would not be so foul mouthed and uncouth. You really need to learn to speak, spell and type.
Hi Eric. Just want and felt the need to say, regardless to the way the looked, sounded, and acted, those peeps were enjoying themselves and their lives liberally. Laughter, music, dancing, etc. You name it... Beautiful! Go SLAB CITY! Anywhoo... Just had to put it out there Street reading some of the comments. In James' words, "help stop world suck". Stay safe and keep enjoying YOUR life. ;-)
It looks kinda cold at night. In the 60's, ya think? Or as low as the 50's? I like the little guy in khaki cut offs (acoustic guitar?) Ah, I like 'em all. Ya! Yee haw. Lol. That trombone player at the end was exciting, too ;-) Thank you for bringing me vicariously to the beloved Slab City. At night, no less!!! Love to all.
That was awesome! All of the people that did not like it should go back to there studio versions of Brittany Spears. That was just real people putting it out there and maybe all of them were not great but some were not too bad and some were pretty good. There is no place in the country like this. I like it.
The old guy in the background tapping on the drum looks like the knight in the Indiana Jones movie where he protects the chalice cup in that small inner room, lol.
Thanks for sharing. Music always unite people from all places.. Good talent.. bass-guy, banjo... timeframe 2:30.;. good sync n beat ! super cool ! Nice place to enjoy a good cigar.
Mostly sounds like somebody a'floggin' their dog ... we will likely NOT be wasting time/fuel/life stopping there sooooooo, thanks so much for the R'EDucation Eric.
I look forward to getting out to the slab some day, but for now still working on getting into a rig of my own. there are so many interesting people out there and all over the us I cant wait to meet some of them.
The Range seems to be one the redeeming features of Slab City. Wide range of talent evident here. I wonder, are all these performers residents of The Slabs, or do some of them come from nearby communities, or even from out of the area? If I was staying in the area, I would come by on a Saturday afternoon & evening to check it out and play a few songs. We're really enjoying your videos, and look forward to the further adventures of the Nomadic Fanatic!
Really enjoyed this video, Eric. Every week your technical skills seem to improve. Thanks for the time and effort it takes to put these videos together.
Awesome. I just love people that put themselves out there even if they don't have any talent . Lol Was that Sober on stage? The guy on the trombone looked like Jim Morrison. When can we expect to see you up there?
Coyotes in the desert are confused as to what that noise is. That's why they aren't howling. Where's the hot chicks ? Do they shave their underarms & legs?
Eric you have made the best videos I've seen on slab city. That looked like a fun time, especially for sober girl lol. Hope you take the stage for a couple songs. Great job you're doing!
The only one with real talent was the man with the banjo, the rest of them some has some talent, some has no talent, but seems like every body enjoy the ''music''.That's important, the joy for the music....nice video Erick.
Hmm...... something nice..... let's see...... oh I know, great low light photography. Just kidding (maybe). Thanks for the insight. Stay safe and be well.
Everyone had fun, that's all that matters....Some good: Some not so good !! at least they had the brass ones to get up and give it their best ! I think Sober was the best one lol
What would I give to have heard Willie Nelson? Oh, well this will have to do. Speaking of Willie Nelson Eric when you and Jax getting "on the road again". LOL
I think most people didn't understand this video. I watched how there was fun by all. I have fun watching people have fun, this is why I subscribed to this channel and others in the first place.
I agree!
Do you want perped buddy boy??? You wanna have fun?
Me three. I want to belong
I am surprised at how many senior citizens are living in Slab City.
Excellent ! This is what entertainment was like for thousands of years, before recorded music, radio, tv and internet.
Looks like everyone was a good time....bad talent or good talent, having fun in a peaceful manner is what counts.
right on.....now that looks like fun....couple hits of acid and away we go...lol
a little folk, a little punk, a little grunge (well maybe more than a little grunge), and a lot of people enjoying themselves and each other. beautiful.
Yea folk punk's a real genre its pretty good
OK.....so it's not Clapton or the Eagles but these
folks are playing and singing from the heart. It's what music is all about. Good times!
Awesome!!! It's like the star wars cantina........
now that's freedom
,,thanks Eric that's the slab i thought it was,, peace love and music,,a different environment,,,were you can be who you want to be,,,not worrying about what others think ,,rock on
omg what a blast!!!!!!!
Clearly I'm in the minority, here, but that was fun! It looks like a great night. Thanks for posting this.
I liked seeing this slice of life.
No matter the sound its all about people getting together and having a good time if more people had gatherings like this there would be less violence in the world thanks for the vid Eric...Keep On RV'n my friend
another good video. People being themselves and nobody judging and we need more freedom to be ourselves
Reminds me of the Mos Eisley spaceport
Was waiting for Dylan, Peter Paul & Mary, and some Buffalo Springfield to show up and start singing some anti-war songs....was like the geriatric version of Woodstock! LOL...
That was Awesome Eric. That left me with a smile. As always great editing Thanks for sharing.
Its good to see what even out in the desert people can gather to have fun, free beer for all! :-) Thanks to the video

Thanks for sharing the entertainment at the Slabs. I bet that was really a good time.
AWESOME video Eric! I think Slab City may be for me! Thanks for the video bud and have a great one!
I actually liked that style of crazy music
I was hoping a slab city Range video would come out around this time. It's some fun music there, I hope you're having an awesome time! Say hi to Mike for me.

Judith Neeley Thanks, well put.
keep up the great recording Eric. This is what most don't get to see. This reminds me of "Into the wild." ALEXANDER SUPERTRAMP.
Nice footage and glad you and Jax are enjoying the journey
Fun. I have to admit I wasn't expecting to hear When Doves Cry. Lol
Trombonist at the end was toasted lol.... ZAAAaaap!
Guess I got to say it. About 80-90% of them not only had zero talent, but should be locked up for disturbing the peace. Even if one wsa drunk or high, that could not sound good. 2 had some talent, the rest were just scary bad!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I hope you find perfection someday...in the meantime the rest of us are going to enjoy life...beauty...humanity...it's all good...you can join us ;-)
Jenven Terra Where did I speak of perfection? I gave credit to 2 of them that actually has some talent, but the rest, well, frankly, they were starving for talent and should look to others to get their entertainment from.

Reminds me of family guy when peter and Lois are baked and do music talent show and they're just shouting and slurring words
Nothing wrong with the video or the efforts of the performers, people at campfires are there to enjoy not to win a grammy.
awesome Eric, can you make more like this? it was a bit short :)...
Hope you and Jax are doing well and are keeping safe. Really enjoy the videos
EPIC! Bro, thank you!!!
There's a kind of freedom in being completely screwed... because you know things can't get any worse.
That was entertaining alright!
Who tf has the NERVE to dislike this???
It looks kinda cold at night. In the 60's, ya think? Or as low as the 50's? I like the little guy in khaki cut offs (acoustic guitar?) Ah, I like 'em all. Ya! Yee haw. Lol.

That was interesting but cool.

Ah yes a double dose of Nomadic Fanatic in one day! i used to wished to sing now i wished they could.......lol......
littlepaw1969 God bless you dude!
Builder Bill rocks!
The old guy in the background tapping on the drum looks like the knight in the Indiana Jones movie where he protects the chalice cup in that small inner room, lol.
Willy Fly
Thanks for sharing.
Music always unite people from all places..

@Keyzer Soze I had a van for a short min but now im.married with a home so I'm grounded.
Perfection is wherever I am at the time. Music sound bad to you? Smoke more weed. Enjoy.
Sounds like a good time!!
This reminds me of the movie Deliverance. Scary.
Like going to a really bad open mic night at a really bad dive bar.
The Range seems to be one the redeeming features of Slab City. Wide range of talent evident here.

That was pretty cool. I wish the video was longer. Thanks Eric!!!
I hope that was free,, lol.. I guess that is good music for the desert.. It is good to see people playing music and having a good time.
Really enjoyed this video, Eric. Every week your technical skills seem to improve. Thanks for the time and effort it takes to put these videos together.
Thanks for sharing, Eric. I really enjoyed Tyler Gregory!

It might be a first for me....I'm speechless.
Very Colorful Bro!

I would have to be totally wasted to enjoy this, but at Least they try.
COOL....PARTY ON !!!
OMg, that was like taking a bad acid trip!
awesome
Awesome. I just love people that put themselves out there even if they don't have any talent . Lol Was that Sober on stage? The guy on the trombone looked like Jim Morrison. When can we expect to see you up there?
Thanks for sharing! Do they sell beer at the Range or is it BYOB?
Coyotes in the desert are confused as to what that noise is. That's why they aren't howling. Where's the hot chicks ? Do they shave their underarms & legs?
Good thing you got the helk out of there
Who is the guy with the big beard and hat? True talent!

Eric you have made the best videos I've seen on slab city. That looked like a fun time, especially for sober girl lol. Hope you take the stage for a couple songs. Great job you're doing!

Was that last group the Mothers of Invention? LOL.
Guess it takes all kinds of kinds.....lol!
2:36 Jeb Bush?
lol, yeah bangin' on them war drums ;)
Hoped to see you up there performing for the crowd......did you take the stage ?
Hmm...... something nice..... let's see...... oh I know, great low light photography. Just kidding (maybe). Thanks for the insight. Stay safe and be well.
I think that was kind of neat night life view. And going to guess the price on the entertainment was not really that high.
Well that was interesting
In the last clip, the girl in the dress playing the bass looks like Cornelius Vango
I guess my desire to play banjo or hamonica, but no talent at either...would let me fit right in there
I will say that from what I've heard of Eric sing he is far better than any of those vagabond hippies. Show 'em how it's done homey!
Everyone had fun, that's all that matters....Some good: Some not so good !! at least they had the brass ones to get up and give it their best ! I think Sober was the best one lol
One more thing. Sorry you had to endure that live.
It looks like fun. I'd have enjoyed that evening under the stars with some REAL people.
What would I give to have heard Willie Nelson? Oh, well this will have to do. Speaking of Willie Nelson Eric when you and Jax getting "on the road again". LOL
there is a reason that they "perform" in slab city. nowhere else would let them in the door.
Any new people ever show up to play?
this video was awesome
......... Yo Eric !!!!!!!!!!!!! Take me with you to the Slab next time you go !!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahahahhaaaa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's been awhile, but I might go back!
The 60's ended in the 60's...
Sorry Dude. The Range looks like it really sucks bad.
OMG! I would have paid them to just stop!!!
