If you’ve already mastered your on body hooping and want a to do both on and off body, I would do anywhere between a 28”-30”! I typically like 5/8ths, but 3/4ths would be good too!!
Hey there! I’m not sure if I addressed it in this video, but I know I have in other ones. Larger hoops are definitely harder when doing escalators because there’s simply too much space between you and the hoop. You want to use one that will hit against you so that it can use your body as an axis to travel up. Do you have a smaller hoop to try this move?
Which size hoop would you recommend for a 5,1 " petite pre-intermediate?

It seems as though size of hoops matter because when I'm using a larger hula hoop, It doesn't fall in the angles. It kind of just falls to the floor.
