I loved Tammy Faye. I truly believe she was always singing for God. Say what you want. I could always see a realness in her. She loved God and that was written all over her face. She is in Heaven and singing around the throne. Thank you Tammy!
This was tammy's signature song... The Lord used this song MANY times to bless, help, encourage, and uolift me. No one else ever sang this song that I am aware of. Sad. One of the most encouraging songs I have ever heard.
I gave $1000 to PTL and didn't get my nights stay at the Heritage Grand but I got so much more through the word of God through their program. I don't care what people say about them, they are human and sinners but God can and did use them in mighty ways. I know how their ministry helped me when I needed it most. Still to this day I find myself thinking of the words from one of Tammy’s songs to help me get through a tough time. Ye who are with out sin may cast the first stone.
@@CoopyKat A lot of that reporting was fake. What about Joel Osteen who owns several mansions, fancy cars, & a couple planes. He preaches the prosperity gospel. Face it - many so called ministers are fleecing the flock.
I spent alot of my childhood at PTL and thank God for those memories and the music that God gave us through Tammy. None of us are without sin. I know she up there with our heavenly father singing for him now. Thank you Jesus for those memories.
I was a guest with her on a Canadian TV program here and she was one of the most nice, genuine, people I have ever met. Nothing phony about the woman! I love the fact her and Ron Jeremy were close friends as she would reach out even to him and he wrote in his book that he was really bothered by her death. RIP Tammy.
I gave money to PTL & I don't regret a dime. I have music that will bring Tammy into my house at anytime & I have these delightful videos on RUclips. And some great memories. And people to meet in Heaven.
Tammy Faye bakker has always touched my heart she sent me records when I didn't even have the money for them I played them over and over and sung along with her she was a wonderful person and still yet when I hear her songs they still touch my heart
I will always be thankful to The Lord Jesus Christ for Tammy. This song encouraged me when I thought there was no way out of a bad marriage. This song and the Word of God lead me a better life, one for me and my daughter. A prosperous life I never imagined.
It brings back good memories. I was at PTL and I will never forget the good times in the Lord. I first accepted Jesus as my personal savior with Tmmy Faye (watching hher on t.v.) I miss her so much. This song walked me through many tough times in my life. Praise God for Tammy, Jim and the kids. Micheline Quebec, Canada
If Tammy Fay were alive today and walked into my house in that outfit, makeup and hairdo, I would never know she'd popped out of 1987. To me she would look every bit as stylish as she did back then,
There was never another perfect human being except Jesus Christ, God's only Son. 'nuf said Love Tammy Faye. Always will. She earned my respect through her humanity and vigor for living it to the fullest
Such an inspirational person. I am glad that I had a chance to have her In my world growing up even if I only knew her through the television I was so impressed by her genuine loving spirit for people and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ
I have many of her record albums. But to me....she sang better live on the set! That's where she really gave it all that she had inside of her and we felt every word she sang and said with so much heart and energy. She shined on stage in front of the TV cameras and with the audience the most. She was a firecracker for God! I don't care what they say. I loved PTL and Tammy Faye!
I love her music, an always will. Jesus died on cross for them too. we not perfect, we live in falling world, need holy spirit an jesus help ..Sorry she died from cancer.we should pray those who mess up, not condem them. her daughter has beautyful singig voice like her mother..we all mess up at times. i cant throw stones..
WOW - I haven't heard this song since the mid-80's!!! I was a young boy back then and my mom used to regularly watch PTL. When this video started, the chorus came right back to mind and I started to sing along. Watching this and other Tammy Faye videos as an adult makes me sad for her and the people who supported their ministry. She was a bright and beautiful spirit who loved The Lord and people, and her performances are still encouraging.
Fun fact about this red leather outfit - it was custom made for Tammy and she managed to keep it after this era came to an end, and she had it until she passed.
I watched the Tammy Faye movie. I loved the Bakkers and Heritage USA, but Jerry Falwell was not the bad guy. He was just honest and held ppl accountable. Other people's money, given to "God", was being squandered. Heartbreaking story.
I think she and Jim were judged very harshly - they admitted they made business errors and they certainly paid the price when their World came crashing down, but I was always surprised that the public [generally speaking] couldn't be more forgiving - he tried to build a Theme Park and that takes time, money and effort - maybe he didn't do everything Letter perfect but his original intentions were honorable.
Reading their books...I came to find out...they had help in some of the mess. Doesn't matter who or why. JB was charged with something hotels, cruise ships, and airlines do every day. OVER BOOKING. Thing is, when JB appealed his case it was proven that he could still fulfill those weekends once the large hotel opened. Let's face it. JFallwell was after them and other large television ministries. I believe he focused on this one b/c of the proximity to his own church. Jealousy is a green eyed monster.
I can understand how these people were such effective con artists. Even after they were exposed as money grubbing frauds, their brain dead fans still defend them. Simply ridiculous.
It's such a shame that Jim didn't listen to Tammy Faye. PTL was an excellent idea, so beautifully maintained. Our troubled country could benefit from just such a place now. Had Jim listened, maybe even Tammy Faye would still be alive. I'm certain having to endure all that stress and pain is what brought on her horrible cancer. Tammy saw the wolves in sheeps clothing and warned Jim. Unfortunately, he refused to believe her. Her music and ministry still uplift me. Whenever I'm down, i pray and listen to Tammy Faye. Jim's new ministry and wife are so phony. Jim has turned into a snake oil salesman.
@keliata UMMMM...NO THEY DIDN'T...They were RELEASED of ANY guilt & the judge who prosecuted Jim was FIRED for WRONGFUL accusations! OBVIOUSLY, you have NOT done ANY research & are just going on what the media said back 30 some years ago! Read Jim Bakker's book "I was Wrong...THEN respond intelligently! I hope God forgives YOU just like he forgave THEM..
she was popping Ativan and Xanax and a whole lot of pills. and tattoo, no wonder she got cancer . she loved the million she got a year. soon as her hubby went to jail she divorced him. so much for vows
Those aren't linked to lung cancer. It's possible she had, like my sister, a mutation that caused her to get lung cancer. My sister is still alive thanks to great advances in cancer treatment.
2right4words maybe go back to the 1980’s and discover everybody was wearing them. It was in style back then. I would hate to hear what people say 30 years from now say about how we dress!
How was she a hypocrite? She had her eye liner, lips and brows done. I do not call that a lot for the 80s. As for the makeup I was teen and young adult in the 80s and guess what??? Those of us that wore makeup...wore it just like that. It was part of our Pentecostal rebellion
