These tools can be tricked into writing some pretty nasty emails and malware enough to fool even discerning eyes. How so? Let's find out! Thanks for watching!

Well it learned from humans that once you're the one who makes the rules, you're also allowed to break them too.
@@thephilosopher7173 I mean true but I feel like it's breaking them without actually knowing that it is.

It actually tries to, but nothing stops you from continuing to use it. It just basically says “Hey, you might be breaking tos, don’t do that”

Man if big companies are as bad with cyber security as I think they are then this is gonna be a wild year for the internet
some of them are hilariously bad at it
It's quite sad really, the government entrusts so much information to them yet they always take up the best software, hardware, and digital security members, leaving everything from medical care companies to phone billers with second rate equipment, which is sad
You have no idea... You don't even need to know how to hack for most of these places. They have completely exposed open networks and easy network keys. It would be easy to sneak on some one's computer too. Bad security and dumb employees leaving their computers unlocked for lunch.

Hah industry isn't ready for something like this. I work for a BIG tech company and we rely heavily. HEAVILY on cookie-cutter static analysis tools as our main security. The corporate stance against a meritocracy has driven away all our good information security people. We're ducks in the water when it comes to security, yet we spend a LOT of time and acutally sacrifice a lot on/for it.
I realized that and got out of IT/Sec because it's more of who knows who rather than pure skill like any other industry. The worst is in my area here in the midwest it's all a good ol' boys club.

privacy and security is an illusion.......its already gone
When you use a car, you need to understand it in case it goes wrong or to avoid as much as possible these situations. Same goes for that technology that is used in your everyday life.

The bad grammar and typos in phishing emails have been suspected to be intentional for many years now. it serves as a filter to avoid wasting time with the regular people and only deal with the dumbest ones that have a high chance to fall for the rest of the scam. The phishing of specific youtubers is tailored specifically to them, written in ways for them specifically to fall.

Muta, the barrier to entry was never if you could code or not, in the modern day. Most malware is bought.
Until ChatGPT can write obfuscated loaders, etc, I don't think asking ChatGPT to write a basic script is gonna make it easier to write malware.
Chat gpt isn't gonna be used as an aimbot, either. In fact, it doesn't do well with assembly code, at all, either, so it's probably not gonna be used for cheats. It does OKAY, but it definitely can't help you write game mods or cheats.

Isn't the problem the adaption
@@tomlxyz that’s the consequence of pressure on the social media companies, software companies and service providers to not offer it in a way that’s simple to implement. I use it but it’s not something I’d expect my parents or even my girlfriend to be able to set up on their own. Once it is set up though, it’s almost transparent and if adopted by banks etc could eradicate almost all email scams.
The best way to defeat scam emails is to simply have a reading comprehension and problem solving skills of a middle schooler.
@@Stabby666 Because it's useless if nobody actually checks who the certificate is from.
@@PURENT That was also solved decades ago. Have you actually looked into this?
This sort of thing is terrifying, old people are the ones who are very likely to fall for something like this. Email providers need to ramp up their security detection to make sure phishing emails don’t go into the users main inbox. I’ve gotten a few gone into my main inbox which is quite scary.
Well that's the beauty of it, if you will. Older people tend to have more accumulated wealth also, so are more likely to be a lucrative target. I have seen some seedy one with my parents, emails claiming to "boost" your pension or even health related dodgy emails. Thankfully, they understand the dangers but that's outside the realms of the normal, id say...
@@leerobinson8709 So basically like the Indian scammers.
@@leerobinson8709 It's not really lucrativeness, older people are just easier to scam with something deceptive like phishing or spoofing.
The younger demographic is more likely to fall for different types of scams, usually some sort of shopping, investment (usually crypto), or debt forgiveness scams.
Both demographics lose tons and tons of money to these every year.
It's an arms race, email providers and spammers are constantly competing against each other
The more intrusive the hackers, the more intrusive and privacy invading defense systems.
It'll come to point where you'll be giving your privacy away to "good guys".
Privacy is becoming more of a placebo thing or a fairytale.
Bruh privacy at uts bare minimum is revoked when you get a smart phone. People will cry for privacy and not wanting to be tracked yet keep their gps with them at all times

I was just talking about what you stated around 7:24. I was talking to my girlfriend about making something that wouldn't mess with the game files, but something that would monitor what you're doing on your screen to provide aimbot/aiming assistance that wouldn't be detectable. Yeah for real it all seems kinda bleak to me. Technology isnt inherently bad but sometimes you gotta ask, just because we can, does it mean we should? I feel there are some things that are better slowly progressed or left alone or heavily regulated.
Call me a luddite but man im not looking forward to the nightmare that will be the internet when deepfakes, AI generated art and imagery become the norm. Most of the things you see on the internet already aren't entirely authentic and require skepticism, and you're telling me its gonna get worst?

gotta love that the camera focused on the mic😂
As a software dev, I kinda find this hilarious. I've used chatGpt before, even when writing code, but it hasn't produced anything that great for me yet. but to see this new tech, which is basically version 1.0 do so much damage, all I can say is, you should've taken cyber security and ai seriously decades ago xD
I've been messing around with code related ChatGPT queries a fair bit in the last couple days. While I agree this made it easier to generate code for someone who has no idea what they are doing, it largely has the same limitations that a query on stack overflow has. You need to know exactly what you should be asking for and you likely are going to have to cobble together concepts to get a working program.
I'm certain I could just search "Searching for and deleting files in python" and I'd find a huge amount of resources on it, because it has valid uses.
Furthermore, ChatGPT has given me some outright wrong code and delivers it with confidence, it gets more likely the more you combine, naturally.
So all in all, yeah, its easier for people with limited programming knowledge to spit out code, but really not much *new* malware will be made.
As an interesting side note, you can have it reimplement code in other languages. That allows for someone to repurpose existing code (including malware) in one context into another.
When i watch these vids, you explain it in such a way that i feel like im learning somthing, even though im not smart enough to learn these things..... thanks bro lol
Muta's big 'ol *SNIFF* right into the mic. 🤣 I felt that.
That ChatGPT example you showed (Host4us or whatever it was) was actually pretty well written. Normally those phishing emails are so horrible I can spot that they're fake in a couple seconds. The things you need to do with these well written phishing emails:
1.) Does the thing the email is telling me to do make sense? Downloading a fricking Excel file to reactive your account... does not make sense, if you needed help there.
2.) Write to the company in question, their tech/customer support, and ASK THEM if they sent the email in question, or ask about the issue at hand. Or call them on the phone. Whatever; contact them.
Just don't be in a rush to click crap. Use your God-given brain, and take your time.
