      He said he downloaded a file, first off who downloads porn anymore? first reg flag. Second flag, how can he prove he didnt conspire beforehand with whoever he downloaded whatever from. I dont beleive hed be that dumb not to check the file size downloading porn off torrents, third red flag. Simple, he saw all the rugpulls, thought up hmm how can i do this and get away with it, most likely someone he knows is holding onto the money, and he will eventually get it back in some form or another over time. Listen, back when people were downloading limewire, this is like, 2003, people knew if the file size looks sketch, its most likely a virus or something shady, the fact he was fooled by this is rediculous to me.

    I got a very similar malware a while ago in email attachment, the .scr extension etc. No, I didn't get hacked, but I wanted to point one more fact that wasn't mentioned in the video:
    The .scr file (which actually is an executable) has more than 700MB of size. However the actual malware code is nowhere this big, most of the file is filled with zero bytes (this can be checked in hex editor). This is done because some anti-malware programs (including Windows Defender) won't scan these files as the part of real-time protection (I guess this is done because of performance concerns when scanning large files in the background). So basically this thing uses a flaw in antivirus to get a higher chance to slip into the OS and hack the victim.

    SCR is actually a meta-extension. They are no different from EXEs, the extension just communicates to Windows settings that this program is supposed to be a screen saver.

    • @juggerslash7393

      I'm noobs of tech stuffs but is it like bat files?

    • @nonzz3ro
      @nonzz3ro 2 года назад +11

      @@juggerslash7393 A programmer writes human-readable code in a programming language and compiles that into code that the machine can read (machine code), and that's what is put into the exe file. A bat file is basically a text file with a list of command-line commands to run; it isn't compiled to machine code and you could open it in Notepad to read exactly what commands it will run.
      If you're asking about the file extension part, it's a little different because file extensions are supposed to communicate to Windows which program to open a file with. A bat file is opened with the command line program by default, a txt file is opened with Notepad, etc. The scr extension however doesn't change anything about what program opens it because it is already its own program and can run itself.

    • @MsHojat
      @MsHojat 2 года назад +2

      @@juggerslash7393 Similar, but bat files are still different. Bat files run an interpreter to run Microsoft batch script. So in that sense they are kind of safer, yet they can still run exes and such, so still super powerful and potentially malicious.
      scr, com, exe are all just machine code that are directly executable for a Windows machine. The assembly code for a Linux or MacOS system would be a bit different because it uses different system calls. Thankfully they also have different file extension, as Linux does not use scr, com, or exe (presumably intentionally) so there's no accidental confusion. In fact as far as I know on Linux executable files are oftentimes just entirely extension-less files.

      @@MixedVictor I understand your concern, and I can't speak for others, but typically, it is unlikely for an artist channel to be compromised. It is also rather difficult to get an artist channel yourself, for me I had to upload 3 unique tracks (at least) which is harder then it sounds, they have to be unique, you can't just upload other people's music, because every publisher puts your song into a thing called a "Music Database" (that's what content id always attaches to, hence why a lot of music gets ddetected) however, of course, there are certain scenarios that this is incorrect, for example, music that wasn't added to the database, but those types of music you can fight and they will take them down.
      So if you're seeing this type of thing, chances are, they are either faking it, or they stole artists channels and they weren't flagged yet.
      needless to say, if a comment is over an hour old, and the channel in question has legitimate content on it, it is likely you're looking at a real comment. Kindly it is encouraged that you avoid claiming stuff as sometimes, it may simply be incorrect, I am most certainty not a bot, I have an entire brand under my name.
      So, please consider checking accounts before claiming such a statement, as it is really just not a friendly thing to do. Thank you. And I hope I was able to shed some light on this for you.

      @@evanlabrie2383 I at least knew he didn't go to jail for doing the price increase, and I didn't know that people had the misconception that what he did resulted in people's deaths. Having legal grounds to price gouge a drug doesn't make the act of doing it less horrible, and I hope you can agree that he has no problems making the lives of sick people worse for his personal gain. I take a drug called Humira that is around 13k a month without insurance, and they also have programs that will send it (for a limited period of time) for a very low price.
