@@MixedVictor I understand your concern, and I can't speak for others, but typically, it is unlikely for an artist channel to be compromised. It is also rather difficult to get an artist channel yourself, for me I had to upload 3 unique tracks (at least) which is harder then it sounds, they have to be unique, you can't just upload other people's music, because every publisher puts your song into a thing called a "Music Database" (that's what content id always attaches to, hence why a lot of music gets ddetected) however, of course, there are certain scenarios that this is incorrect, for example, music that wasn't added to the database, but those types of music you can fight and they will take them down. So if you're seeing this type of thing, chances are, they are either faking it, or they stole artists channels and they weren't flagged yet. needless to say, if a comment is over an hour old, and the channel in question has legitimate content on it, it is likely you're looking at a real comment. Kindly it is encouraged that you avoid claiming stuff as sometimes, it may simply be incorrect, I am most certainty not a bot, I have an entire brand under my name. I dunno if it's still the case, but I remember a long time ago learning that .SCR files are pretty much just regular .EXE files, usually just with certain functions mostly always present like a configuration mode that shows the config window instead of the screensaver, and functions to monitor mouse and keyboard to end the screensaver when you do something; but those are all optional, you could rename any .EXE to .SCR to make Windows think it is a screensaver.

It's impossible for anyone to know in this case which is why it would be such a great excuse. I would lean towards not trusting Martin though.
MD5s are meant for detecting accidental file corruption. They aren't well suited to checking whether a file was intentionally tampered with, because it's not very difficult to find hash collisions.
I'm wondering if the guy threatened Muta's family or something because this is kinda a weird turnaround and even after that explanation the whole situation is still super suspicious

I hope you realize most the money he loses wouldn't reach him either way, it all goes to a company he's part of that does major research for curing rare disease, which is a very very costly thing in itself. Same with those pills that went from 13.5 to 750 (most of which was paid by insurance companies and not random poor families btw). The money raised from that actually even helped make a better version of the medication that was just as cheap, more efficient and didn't kill people like it previously had.

Technically md5 has been broken. there was a collision found now it's considered deprecated. it's probably fine for file hashing. You shouldn't be using it for security anymore
I'd say it's fine for checking the integrity of a file in terms of whether it was transferred correctly and didn't get corrupted at some point due to e.g. a dodgy network connection or hard drive, but definitely not to check if the file had intentionally been tampered with for security purpsoes.
Wouldn't be hard to spoof a torrent file with a virus and very suspicious that the file was uploaded just before the "hack". Also a little disappointed that you deleted the old video Muta. Also who TF downloads pron these days
Uh, there are a few "specialty items" that cannot be gotten without either a credit card or a torrent site. At least that's what I've heard... :P But Big Tits and Round Asses is chiefly not among them...
i think shkreli is guilty here but idk about the point of the file being created just before the hack. torrent sites are usually sorted by most recently uploaded, its only logical that he'd get hacked by a recent file if he did get hacked lets say he torrents things everyday, he probably just checks the recent uploads if hes not looking for anything specific
Not more suspicious, more retarded. No self respecting criminal mastermind would make such a rookie mistake. Thats like the joker ordering poison gas off amazon, with his credit card to his secret lair.
I wouldn't put anything past Martin given how big of a fraud and scammer he is. He'll happily take any coverage of him that isn't explicitly describing his crimes, or calling him anything less than an evil piece of shit. The guy isn't stupid, and he probably has countless connections that can help him with almost anything. Don't forget why he went to jail. He had no problem fucking over a ton of people that needed affordable medication to help them live normally. Anything short of explicit condemnation of him can help rehabilitate his image.
@@ethanwasheretoo I don't know what specific charge he went to jail for, but it doesn't matter because what he did was still as evil as it gets. If he went to jail for dodging parking violations, he'd still be who he is.
He went to jail because he basically gambled investors money into his other company, even though his investors made profit, it was still illegal. His price increase scheme that time wasn't illegal a lot of companies were doing that, right now there has been more regulations. A common misconception is that he killed tons of people from his price increase but it has been almost seven years and still no reports of any of that because they will send it to you for free if you dont have insurance that covers it
@@evanlabrie2383 I at least knew he didn't go to jail for doing the price increase, and I didn't know that people had the misconception that what he did resulted in people's deaths. My assertions are that he is evil for doing the act of the price increase itself. Having legal grounds to price gouge a drug doesn't make the act of doing it less horrible, and I hope you can agree that he has no problems making the lives of sick people worse for his personal gain. I take a drug called Humira that is around 13k a month without insurance, and they also have programs that will send it (for a limited period of time) for a very low price. I don't think the makers of Humira are any less shitty or greedy because they have a program that reduces the price of a drug, when they set the price in the first place.
The key piece of advice that he's not mentioning is STOP USING WINDOWS. It has such a laughably bad track record for security. If you are connecting to the Internet, use a secure system. Windows is not a secure system.

Wait how is Martin a confirmed liar tho? Oh nvm just remembered he did some security fraud by not telling his he lost their money or some shit like that. But those same investors testified that they would give their money to Martin again if they could.
That's the same thing I heard: That Redline malware could be purchased. Skrelli probably wanted the screen saver to give his money back, but his Russian friends thought digging up small potatoes was a waste of time. Considering the amount of porn that comes from Russia, Skrelli basically asked the Russians to hack their own servers. Not exactly the smartest move. Buying the malware to resolve a payment dispute seems like the ultimate phishing exploit. If you think you're smart enough to beat the scammers, there's another product they can sell you to allieve your mental anguish... Hook, line and sinker! The $400k in Ethereum was all Skrelli would publicly admit to. People that think they're above the law are the easiest marks. 45 ring a bell? @@MixedVictor That moment when you realize i'm not lol

MD5s are meant for detecting accidental file corruption. They aren't well suited to checking whether a file was intentionally tampered with, because it's not very difficult to find hash collisions.
Always verify multiple checksums. They aren't going to be able to do a collision on a CRC32 and md5 at the same time.

Thank you for the Virus Investigation videos as always Muta

Wouldn't be hard to spoof a torrent file with a virus and very suspicious that the file was uploaded just before the "hack". Also a little disappointed that you deleted the old video Muta.
Also who TF downloads pron these days
Uh, there are a few "specialty items" that cannot be gotten without either a credit card or a torrent site. At least that's what I've heard... :P
But Big Tits and Round Asses is chiefly not among them...
i think shkreli is guilty here but idk about the point of the file being created just before the hack. torrent sites are usually sorted by most recently uploaded, its only logical that he'd get hacked by a recent file if he did get hacked
lets say he torrents things everyday, he probably just checks the recent uploads if hes not looking for anything specific
Not more suspicious, more retarded. No self respecting criminal mastermind would make such a rookie mistake. Thats like the joker ordering poison gas off amazon, with his credit card to his secret lair.
I wasn't expecting anything this hardcore I had to start over , Ive only seen you joking around on the podcast :)
He didn’t go to jail for anything pharma

Nice to see Virus Investigations (sorta) coming back
Wow that's really hilarious. The oh so smart college educated crypto bro got hacked because he downloaded porn and launched a trojan on bare metal without any fucks given. If you want to analyse viruses do it in a virtual machine on an airgapped system. Do the virtualization with KVM and preferrably use a second layer (virtual machine in a virtual machine with 2 different operating systems). Use AV software on linux (like clamAV) and defender on windows systems.
Yeah, this is some 90s level hack. I remember when screensaver viruses were a thing. I was still in elementary school. That was literally decades ago.
This combined with hidden extension: disaster.

he used torrent to download explicit videos instead of watching them on the internet, he preferred the chance to get hacked instead of watching it just by google it, he knows something or am i putting an aluminium hat
