Could anyone break down the deductions please?
+jennyendlessly A lot of the small one tenth deductions come from loss of balance (on her sheep jump, layout, ring leap, aerial and switch ring leap), then she get she gets .3 off on her dismount (low chest, flexed feet and hop). These are the obvious deductions.
She could also have gotten .1 on her aerial since her leg is quite bent, .1 off on her leap at 0.53 (back leg) and another .1 off on her switch ring (head needs to be more back).
Now where most of the deductions stem from are the "layout" (the reason I write it like this is because the judges can devalue it if its not properly done). Her legs come apart, its very low, and she pikes it. You could be looking anywhere from .4 to .6 of deductions on just that one skill.
oh yes i noticed her layout now, well it could have been downgraded to a pike somersault, would that still be 0.6? she always get severely deducted, even when she hits everything, must be frustrating ...
like Ferrari, some bodies just aren't that extended ... and some feet don't point like others , it should be taken into consideration ...
+jennyendlessly In case a layout is too piked during the second half of the rotation, it is downgraded from layout E to layout D, while a piked (from beginning to end) is a C. In other words, there are two possible D-values for the layout, E or D based on how much the layout position is held through the somersault. (:

I think she made a huge mistake, and it is funny because she is now more recognized for making those rude comments about Simone than for her own skills. You see, thy say winners focus on winning and losers focus on winners.
Still? She has largely apologized for what happened, how long will you continue to torment us? I think that the shitstorm that overwhelmed her on the web is more that enough punishment: insults and death treaths. Is there a limit to be reached for all of you to be satisfied? Don't get me wrong: I'm not this avid Ferlito's fan, but I think enough is enough. I find comments like this under every video of her, always reminding the audience of a story that came out 3 years after that unfortunate comment and I still wonder why not at the right time. I'm not going story stay here and tell you the correct translation and meaning of that comment from Italian, what's certain is that life has punished Carlotta whether you like it or not. I wonder if for all of you who exasperatedly insist on this unpleasant episode, if there is a chance of redemption for this girl.
@@ginger942 Her legacy forever will be for her xenophobic racist mindset. If she wanted higher scores she should do better gymnastics and fix her execution, not blame it on the skin color of the previous champions.

Agree. She's arrogant and tries to make excuses for not being as good as some other gymnasts. I think her jumps and routine are very boring.

jennas84100 she needs to learn how to lose without having to result to throwing low blows about someone's race. It wouldn't matter what color she painted her skin, she would never be even close to getting on the podium. As a matter of fact, if she were here in the USA, im not even sure she would be on the national team to be honest. But hey, she is apparently one of the best that Italy has to offer, so that, in her mind, means she can be an arrogant sore loser. Yes your right, the ring leap isnt enough to get credit for, in the code.

If she or just other Italian gymnasts were in America and they should train and try to be part of Usa Team,well,I don t know,who could be enough strong and good prepared enough,at least.
But remember that America is not the first in the world only for the good things,medals and stuff.There are also sports for this country,as Italy for gymnastics,therefore America is not nominated as the best or stronger.
Being radical patriotist is not always so good and positive,.. :( in America that rules.. _ being a really asshole,as Carlotta did that time,well,it did not improve her skills,at least,not in sport. :)

What i mean is, she was way out of line with her racist comments, and it is obvious that it was a comment made out of anger for loosing to Biles. On the record, american gymnasts dominate, and thats just the way it is. Im not saying Americans are better gymnasts, in just saying that, so far, during every competition, America has been superior to Italy. (And everyone else as well but we are just talking about Italy here.) None of the Italian gymnasts have ever came close to beating Biles, so thats the reason for my comments. Im not belittling your country or anyone's country for that matter, so please to take it as such. (Again, i apologize for not being able to understand your comment, im am very ignorant to things like this, and it is my fault, not yours.)
