    I had a few concerns about up potting this amazing Navel Orange while it was flowering. This tree finished fruiting and it blew up with flowers. I really wanted to re pot this this season, right before summer arrive but I didn't want to lose my flowers and the chance to have fruit.
    I didn't want to bore you at the beginning of this video so I'll leave my thought to the end of the video.
    I'll do the how to re-pot a navel orange step by step first.

    Hi I’ve transplantedtwo if mine into larger pots while flowering and fruiting foliar feed the tree twice a week with fish emulsion and Epsom salt had no problems also once a month chelates iron manganese and boron once a month

    • @GardenloveHomestead
      @GardenloveHomestead  5 лет назад

      this tree is doing amazing, it still has a lot of fruit on it. it dint skip a beat. I do the same feeding once a month. However, I don't use iron unless i have yellow leaves. I about to make a video on the feeding schedule and what i use to feed my fruit trees in container. I love Fish emulsion its the best thing ever.

    • @dlhvac1
      @dlhvac1 5 лет назад

      Garden love yes but citrus in ground and containers always could use chelates iron manganese and boron they sell it that way marked for citrus it helps the tree over all yellow leave most time is magnesium sulfate or Epsom salt. • @TheJanicetunes
    @TheJanicetunes 3 года назад +1

    Hi GL I think I've really damaged my meyer lemon and keylime tree. I thought the soil smelled sour. Thinking it was root rot, I panicked and unpotted them. Sat their roots in water. I completely rinsed off the dirt from all the roots. Repotted in new soil. They were doing good for about a week, but now all the leaves are dropping or curling really bad. Do you think they got transplant shock? Should I just leave them alone? Are the trees dying? I don't know what to do now to care for them...heelpp lol

    • @GardenloveHomestead
      @GardenloveHomestead  3 года назад +2

      Hi, sorry to hear about your trees. No need to panic. By removing all tge soil off you also removed many other little roots. The tree is definitely going through shock. Make sure you keep them in the shade for now. No direct sun. The pot has plenty of draining holes. Good draining soil. Mulch and water as need it. Dont let the soil dy out complete for the 1st week or so. Where do you live? What zone. Whats the climate there like?

    Thanks for the video, love it. It’s August now, my tree is small Meyer lemon tree but it’s blooming. Is it to late in the season to transplant into a bigger pot? It’s in a 6 inch pot, and I’d like to get it into an 8 or 10 inch pot in preparation of my fruit to set.

    • @GardenloveHomestead
      @GardenloveHomestead  5 лет назад +1

      What zone are you in? In in CA zone 9b and I've done transplanted a tree during this time. I would just suggest to keep it in the shade until it gets through the transplant shock. I hope that was helpful.

      Hi, I’m in Zone 5, Colorado and I just purchased the “tree” this past Spring but it’s the third time or series of blooms since I picked it up. The blooms fell last time because of many reasons. Can I transplant it into a bigger pot this year, while there still blooms and a fruit starting to set? I don’t want to loose the fruit.
