would it not make more sense to have more villagers spawning and wandering about the market at night as in an earlier video you said in the story the inhabitants of the village only really come out at night I think some in the day but fewer than at night would make more sense lore wise as well as still bringing life to the village for the player also I think having certain places or shops only open at night and be closed during the day would add to this and give it a more immersive experience to not think of the shopkeepers as just there for the sake of being there to sell you stuff but being there to get more business and other shopkeepers who don't need the extra business would only open at night like make they cost more or stock rarer/higher quality resources and don't need the extra money staying open through the day would bring or they would run out of stock to quick something else that could be cool is shift changes like noticeable it was once a lizard thing and now is an ogre looking thing to add more to the immersion maybe that could be a way to show why a shop is open through the day I don't know much about the world your trying to craft but from the few videos I've seen of your journey I think these would be good additions either way I'm loving the videos and cant wait to play I have it wish listed already
Appreciate it, and really happy to hear you're excited for the game! I do think it can make sense, however, we found that it didn't translate well with the whole night vs day thing. So we've kept the town at a generally steady page, with minor changes and tweaks happening as a different, and the day and day-states mostly acting as triggers for events, plants, etc.
@@BobsiDevlog yeah I get why you made that choice as I was writing I started to realise that because customers come at night you wouldn't be going into town much as you need to focus on the shop I think the shift changes between workers could still be a cool idea that I hope you will consider either way I'm really exited for the games release and I will definitely be sinking many an hour into it when it does finally release hopefully in 2025
@salmonsashimi8.9 It will absolutely release in 2025, and it should (with 99% confidence) be in Q1 2025, unless something goes completely wrong on the marketing end. But development wise, we're in a good state and on track! 🙂
