After so long, its really nice to see you're back! The town looks good and so does that image of inspiration you found from the Internet for it. The idea to have enemies be frogs is good, though maybe the big tank guys could be toads in the future if you like my idea? The necromancer could be a poison dart frog if you like the suggestion? If you have an agile enemy, maybe that frog could be a tree frog? The sword design looks cool that you showed. BTW the audio from your voice in the video was really good! The music in the background was a nice touch and good volume, not to loud, and not to quiet. Do you plan to darken the world at all later in development? I ask because the game is very bright and vibrant currently. With the jump and dash mechanic going into the game at some point, do you plan to have obstacles where one or both come into play? Like having to jump up somewhere to get loot or something. Or needing to dash and jump over a trench to get somewhere. I look forward to what you have to show next when it is ready to reveal :)
Really good feedback and I do like all the suggestions you pointed out. In terms of enemies, I would like to dabble in other amphibians like salamanders or axolotls. I think it would be a little refreshing rather than seeing frogs all the time. Although having different frogs/toads will happen. I would love to add things like 'trenches' and high spots in the procedural worlds. I am just not sure if I would be able to dynamically make these things through code. I will try because that is something that I would really like to add.
