Ethiopian food is the best cuisine in the world! The flavours and spices are unmatched. My mother in law is Ethiopian so I'm blessed to get home cooked Ethio food on the regular lol I've learned to cook it for my daughter too although not as good as her Grandma's but getting there haha

Had some siblings and friend try Ethiopian food for the first time a couple of months ago and they loved it!! 😋😋 the eating with your hands and Sharing one plate through them off of it but it's part of the culture so they respected it
love your show very informative. AM ETHIOPIAN brown teff is not the only 100% teff , there are white teffs as well as in between so there are 3 different varieties of teffs.

I dined at a NYC Eithiopian restaurant in 2008 and never forgotten it.. delicious, tangy food!
No you don't lick your hands while eating.I used to do that when i was a kid and my Mother would always tell me not to do that because it's unmannered.even after finished eating you wash your hands you don't lick it.especially if you are having meal with others.
An other thing in our culture is you don't take food from an other person's front if you have food infront of you, that indicates disrespect,that person might be considerd not taught manner by his parents,but it's not a big deal.you don't eat very fast,you don't hold big food in your hands that's also part of it.but strangers are not judged for that,only for those who are from the culture.

Growing up in Ethiopia my family used to eat every meal on one big plate (aka tri) but at some point we switched to single plates for the most part, except breakfast. In the states, everybody be running at different times we don’t even get to sit together as much so it’s no longer convenient. I personally like eating together or feeding someone (aka gursha) only when it’s with close family.
The vegetables cuisines are very VERYYYY healthy as we have varietyyyyyyyyy of them. VEGAN AND VEGETARIANS ARE becoming more and more familiar with our dish. ALL the spices are very authentic Ethiopian spices & delicious. I'm salivating now. I highly recommend you guys try it.

Lots of ❤️ , one thing in ethiopian culture (special ethiopian orthodox people) you can't leak your fingers. Instead, wash your hands. Or else it'll be considered as calling hunger 😮.

Teff is the feature staple. If you are young invest on teff production .Europe already making billions on the product .Australia already farming teff, USA has more thank 50 farmers . thank you for the show.

An Eritrean girl here in Kenya wasn't happy with me eating injera with my left hand. I'm so used to doing that because of multitasking. She physically made me use my right hand

Teff has two Main Varieties :white teff and Brown Teff and he sayed the brown one is 100% teff yes of course but the white teff also 100% teff there is no difference b/n the two only the color

Only Ethiopian food I dont think I can try just yet is the raw meat. I'm getting there though. I eat steak rare now.
Try Kitfo if you're not so used to raw beef but still want to experience it. Its ethiopian tartare essentially. Spicy and buttery. Melts in your mouth. Good choice if you dont want to try the "tire siga" which is the classic cubed raw beef.
