I'm japanese. I ever have listened to so many rock and metal bands. Stratovarius is the No.1 band ever in my music history. I'm so rocked. They are in the area of god.
They were very popular in Japan, as far as I know. You always got available the best albums, extra tracks and concerts. :) Even some videogame sountrack composers got inspired by Strato (not only the Dragon Ball Budokai scandal)
Timo must be the shiest and most polite metal singer ever, he's always speaking with like half of his mouth haha. Probably had great parenting and education as a kid
I would rather say he is a genuis humble personne and very professional nomatter who stand in front of him, big name or small name Timo gives the same respect (from what i have seen so far).
Long songs are 👌👌👌 They always have the most potential IMO, so I'm always waiting for them the most. Visions (Sourhern Cross) is probably my favorite Stratovarius song. Voice Of Thunder is in the better half of their long songs IMO.
Broken & Voice of Thunder are the best on the album. But the whole album is just amazing. I really hope Stratovarius do a North America tour in 2023. Thanks for sharing this interview!
Survive is a fantastic album, very catchy. I had stopped listening to Stratovarius after Infinite, but they’re back and even better than they’ve never been (my opinion of course). Most likely the answer to your first question explains why this album is so good. Collaborative writing!
I m fan of old legancy melodicus really freshness powerfull times of 95-99' Timo Tolkki s periods Stratovarius. Last album are an typical simply power metal work and not any more epic amazing album . Have a lot of rithmic heavy power speed metal and chaotic sound elements also i dont listened some slow emotional progressive romantic fairy ballads and for that i dont like this
