Small hatchet restoration!

OK, this looks like a toy, but it was sold as a camp hatchet, thin steel and Bakelite handle?! does anybody know anything about this????? it did turn out great just weird looking!!!!!!!!!

I have one with the molded artificial antler handle. It is stamped CRAFTSMAN USA.
