Cashier myself. Been one for 4 years now at a mom n pop store. Honestly my bosses kick my butt if I get hoodwinked by a fake $20 but they wouldn't have me chase down the perp. We have that special marker to run thru bills to tell whether or not they're fake. They probably wouldn't even call the cops because the cops aren't gonna reimburse that $20. No point in scaring customers. Just blacklist them at the store. I've caught like 2 counterfeit bills in the whole time I've worked there.
Heart goes out to this dude because he just wanted to prevent all this from happening but the manager was having a bad day.
