The only upgrade we've made in the travel trailer we bought 6 years ago, was the mattress, and BOY, are we glad we did! I want to thank you for the best tip I've ever gotten for keeping things stable when camping..........Nano Tape. It's wonderful.
Our 2022 adventurer truck camper came with a great mattress. It’s perfect for my husband and me, we love it. That being said, we both prefer a firm mattress that is not too tall so this one checks all the boxes.
Thanks! I have also done all but the inside and outside fridge fans. Need to look into those because I am sure they help the fridge operate more efficiently. Safe travels.
I had just purchased a Purple mattress for my home bed when things with my roomate went south. I had purchased a used travel trailer with a floor plan I really liked and had parked it in my daughter's backyard to use when I was at her house. After talking to my daughter, son-in-law, I moved into the travel trailer full time, it will never be moved from where it is unless she moves. The mattress has done well both in summer and winter (I'm in TX). I've hooked up the sewer system to her septic tank but still dump the tanks as if at a dump station. Learned the hardway that keeping the traps open causes problems so got that fixed and all is well now. I would like to convert my air unit to a heat/air unit. There is leak somewhere in the propane system and I cannot afford propane for more than cooking on my limited income (retired). I've been using some small space heaters but not able to stay in the rv when temps go below 20 which isn't often but it can. I still have a couple of fixes from the big freeze in 2021 to do and now my fridge isn't cooling enough and some of my outlets aren't working and trying to locate the problem the gfi's are the only ones working. My shower is leaking at the handles only when I use the shower, been using the shower in the house for the time being, can take a longer than a 5 min. hot shower there. I have found that I really enjoy living in my tiny home and my grandson loves to come over and visit anytime he wants to. Installing a baby monitor between the house so it will be easier for his mom to locate him when he sneaks over.
Great video! Thanks for sharing, funny thing is my wife Tina and I feel our factory mattress is comfortable for us. It is going on year two so we will see this year if it remains firm. Plus I do enjoy that it’s heated and on a cold evening it’s nice to get into a preheated bed. Upgrades that we have made include outside hidden storage for all black water hoses, drain fittings and flush hoses. I modified a wall hanging oscillating fan, I made a bracket that mounts to it and can slide it into the outside TV bracket. It’s very helpful when it’s hot outside. Another mod was installing the micro air easy start, we love that we can run our ac plugged into our home 15 amp circuit or our Honda Eu2200i generator. We also replaced our thermostat with a digital thermostat, not as high tech as yours but very accurate. Thanks Tony
My 1985 RV came with a great mattress, the 1993 came with a good mattress, the 2019 on the first night, the thought was, why did it even come with a mattress if it was going to be this bad. Should have been an empty platform that we could use our air mattress on until the good mattress we ordered got shipped.
Our 2016 American Revolution 42T shipped with a Wolf memory foam mattress. It is the best mattress that I have slept on. We hope that the factory mattress on the 2022 New Aire 3545 we ordered a couple of months ago is as good.
Believe it or not, we really like the heated mattress that came with our 2019 Rockwood. This is our 5th Travel Trailer since we started camping in Travel Trailers in the 80's. We replaced the mattress in our last Travel Trailer, a North Trail, after one camping trip. But we have not been moved to do so in our Rockwood, so far.
@@GratefulGlamper Thank you. I think that’s what we’re gonna order since we’re off in Florida and I’m thinking about the cooling effect of the top layer. Why did you choose firm over medium? Also we became patrons for you but it is under our 2 Krazy Ketos account. We also have the camping channel which is a 2KrazyKampers
An inside fridge can is always helpful, even if it is one of the little battery operated ones. Circulating air helps cool the food uniformly. But, the fine can still frost over. That is affected more by dampness on your food packaging, the humidity in your rig, and how often you open the door. An outside fan may help when the outside humidity is high, like at the beach in the summer, but your original unit should be more than adequate under most other camping conditions. Keeping all the fins clean on the outside unit is more important. Make sure there are no bees nests or birds nests at bottom and top as well. Sorry, I'm a retired heat transfer engineer!
Thanks for the great video! I just ordered both refrigerator fans. Freezing up has always been a problem. Works great for a day or 2 and then freezes up. Was it difficult to run the power wires through the drain tube?
Our best upgrade for our Class C mini motorhome was to remove the entire dinette unit and replace it with a La-Z-Boy recliner rocker loveseat unit with a small console between the seats. This change meant that we lost two persons worth of sleeping capacity, and some storage capacity that was built into the base of the dinette, but this RV was intended to be the on the road home for just us. When the inevitable rainy day comes along, and we just want to stay inside the La-Z-Boy chairs are super comfortable to just sit back, relax, and read.
Great video. I'm going to check out the Boston mattress link for sure. Top 5 I have done so far. New house bank battery replacement New slide-out topper replacement Water accumulator pressurized tank with new 12 volt water pump I guessed I don't have a top 5. Everything else has been general maintenance and repairs. Come to think about it... I don't have a top 5 at all. Lol
Very interesting all five especially the mattress. If you could see what they put in ours. Just ridiculous. Thanks for that info. Also can you tell me how you hang your pictures up so nice. Are they pic on glass, or Metal?
Believe it or not, we ordered a Rockwood Mini-lite 2516S, and it came with great foam mattress. We were prepared to replace it, but was pleasantly surprised that we didn't. It sleeps great!
Thanks for the info on the Maxx fan. Hubby has been thinking about replacing our fans. The bathroom fan stopped working last month so a good time to swap it out.
Thanks for what you do. I looked for the inside refrigerator fans and could not find one like you showed. I also have a 12.cf fridge and the link provided had 3 fans not the 5 like you demonstrated. I need one of these now so my wife will be happier… 🍸
Uhmmm... My wife and I both, when we bought our camper 6 years ago immediately fell in love with the memory foam mattress that came with our RV. We get the best night's sleep in our camper during the spring, and fall camping seasons. It is a standard queen at that.
Can you elaborate on the return process for Brooklyn mattress? We want to swap our out for a firm also, how the heck did you get the mattress refolded for shipping?
We did not have to ship it back, rather we were asked to donate it. And we found a great place to do that and they even picked it up from us so it was really easy.
My Lance Serta pillowtop is awesome. But I slept on one for years. So I was very happy. Definitely want to add maxair vents also. I have a fantastic fan. But it only pulls air out.
Hi guys I have a question about your rv mattress from Brooklyn bedding. Say you were not happy and wanted to return it. How is that accomplished given it is shrink wrapped when you receive it. How do you get it to a return facility? Thank you, we love your channel
RV Mattress did not have us return the one they sent, but rather they asked us to donate. Which we did to a family who was in need of a new mattress for their kiddo.
Hi there. I ordered the inside frig fan yesterday and I watched your video again. I noticed the one on the link you provided is different than yours. Yours has 5 fans and is wider than the one in the link. The one in the link has 3 fans and is 15" wide. We have the same frig and the smaller 15" one won't go all the way across the fins. Is the one you have still available? I couldn't find it.
The one you have really should be sufficient. The main thing is getting the air circulating. The 5 fan one is only available directly on their website. rvcoolingunit.com/
When we sold our house we had a split king Sleep# with the adjustable frame. We couldn't use the frame as the bed had the box which housed the slide motor and accessories, but I was able to use both air mattresses and the pump with the ECU which connects to our WiFi and gives us the ability to adjust firmness and also gives us the sleep score. If you are not familiar with the sleep # this is a great system The ECU is so precise it can tell your heart rate your breath rate, detects when you go to sleep and when you get up if you should get out of bed and when your restless. This info. builds your sleep score and is all on the sleep# app on your phone or tablet. Needless to say we sleep like Babies.
I've been having a heck of a time finding mattresses for the bunks in our RV. The twin size is 1 inch too wide for the wider bunk, and the smaller bunk is like a cot size. What mattresses do you have on your bunks? I know you built them, but it looked like in another video, that they were fairly thin which is what we need for our bunks.
Love E-trailer as well. Great customer service, with competitive pricing. I would think all the fans would drain your batteries pretty quickly, GDR ( Goin Down the Road). Do you have a way to auto-turn all of them off when off plug?
Your new mattress was vacuum packed and rolled up in to the shipping box. When you returned the first one for the more firm version, how did you pack it for return shipping?
Couldn’t agree more about replacing the mattress. Ours is horrible and needs to be changed. Hopefully RV manufacturers are watching your channel and will find better suppliers for their mattresses. Also like the thermostat idea and the fans as well! Great video as usual!
Thank you for the great tips, one of the up grades that we have made, it’s replace the shower valve, installing a good quality delta or moen, even if you have a tech do the work, it’s worth the money, like the bedding you use it every day, we hope
Talked to you before, did Ben put the fans in for the fridge on the out side and do the only run when the fridge is on gas only or shore power? Certain hot ground setup or does the manufacture have all that . I’m running a battery operated in the fridge and bought a monitor for it as well, covers the freezer and fridge and all I got to do is look at the display. Great watching you guys!
They are connected to the 12v positive on the outside and run gas and shore power. They only run when the fridge is turned on and run low speed when temp is low and higher when temp is higher. You can also set speeds and turn off/on if you want. I hope it helps!
@@GratefulGlamper oh man o man it does, checked them out on your link, love spending on stuff like that. I’m a good mechanic and very diligent but one guy In particular whom is very inclined is Martin from rv street. He’s helped me on a couple tech things as you have. I’ll be watching as always and may you and your family be safe in your travels and everyday life.
You say you returned the first mattress to get the more firm mattress. I would like to know more about that process (in case we don't like our choice). How did you ship it back? Was it in a box? if so, how did you get it back into the box once it was expanded? Thanks for sharing!
Watched an older video and you mentioned there was a link to find the clothing with experiences/things, well leave it to me but I can’t find it. I did find recommended Amazon products but that’s it. Could you please give a link for the t shirts and hoodies?
More great information! Question for anyone, as I was looking through the description of items, I noticed one for SoftStartRV. Is this item easy to install?
My husband installed one on our new Grand Designs Imagine 2600RB…..he didn’t hv any issues. He had never done this install before so he double checked a couple connection issues due to different colored wire than what is typical. The company had great customer support and he was able to complete the job. 😎
Hi, I'm Jodee. I'm also a newbie in the RV living. 6mths now. I made it through the winter and it was horrible but if I can get down south before it starts turning cold on me again I'll be doing great. I'm just wondering and idk if you would , but id love to talk to you. I'm struggling and I don't know what to do. This is my life now but it's not easy for me. I understand if you not able to tell me everything but guide me in the direction I need to go for the important information I need. Sorry if I thrown you in a weird direction but I'm stuck and don't know what to do... You seem very trustworthy and you seem to know a lot about thing's. Thank you and I hope to hear from you.
I was wondering if you have driven your class A and how long is it. I haven't driven ours which is 39 1/2 ft long gas. Would this be hard to learn to drive ??
Ours is 40 ft - with our toad over all length is 55. I’ve (Charity) have driven it dozens of times. I started with just getting on and off the interstate in more remote areas like Wyoming. I still don’t like driving in town or heavy traffic, but don’t mind highway driving at all. I even ended up driving it through Atlanta rush hour.
Hi Big Ben 🇨🇦 fans ,we love our RV lock with 2 remotes ,if where meeting friends and don't meet at same time we can text code and there relaxing ,plus handy we coming in dark,or leaving camp site 👍🐴🙂
Thought you might like to know that I received the fans from your link. They look the same but don't have the same mounts. No hooked mounts to mount on the frig vent.
@@GratefulGlamper It came with mounts, just not the ones that you have with a hook on it. But that's ok. I was able to figure out a way to make it work.
@@GratefulGlamper love the photos and am going to look into them, but I thought I heard a recommendation in one of your videos many months ago about tape. My pictures keep falling off the wall in the FL humidity.
@@annbackus4773 nano tape! Although I don’t use it on the photos since they have their own adhesive strip. You can find it on Amazon here amzn.to/36sFynv
Which mattress did you get? $1405.00 seems like a high price to pay for three weeks a year in our camper. But I know that if we upgraded, we would definitely be taking the mattress with us.
Well i guess we are the only ones who LOVE the heated mattress that came with our Rockwood Camper. Yeah HEATED that thing worked blew our minds 20's outside and we started sweating in bed.
Regarding the bed...I absolutely agree! We've had 4 different rvs in our lifetime and every one the mattress was horrible and was one of the 1st thing we replaced. I have a question, you mentioned the great 120 night warranty on BB, how on EARTH did you exchange the mattress? You obviously didn't put it back in the box. lol Our experience with boxed mattresses is that they're VERY heavy and cumbersome. How did the exchange process go? Safe travels, Happy Easter!
I have 2 of the Brooklyn bedding latex pillows ive had them at least 2yrs and I love them they are perfect but box was they expensive lol $80 each when I bought them but so work it
Question, on one of my channels I follow: they got a Ninja flip air fryer a few months ago, I am trying to see how they are liking it? Let me know if it's you all. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years. Ben II FYI: it was KYD
Well, let me be the first. We were actually pleasantly surprised how nice the king size mattress in our 2022 Entegra Vision XL 36A is. It is as good as the memory foam mattress we got for our prior RV. 🙂
We had plans of getting a new mattress. Then we slept on this one. The money saved went towards a washer/dryer combo. Something on our list (my wife's). lol
Love the inside fridge fan. Never knew. Looking into. Out side fans built myself. Thanks for your videos, always interesting. Retired and ready to hit the road permanently, well until gas hits $10 gallon. Hope not. Thanks.😊
I knew before you even said it, the Mattress! I have no clue why they don't provide a better mattress. Yes, it adds cost, but when they buy in bulk, it should not add that much cost to the RV.
I could not live without my vent fans, but I’m disappointed cuz my previous RV has a fan that included a temp setting, so it would turn on automatically if the temp reached a certain temp. I can’t find a fan with that feature … anywhere!! Do they not exist anymore? Other than that, I’m not interested in fans with tons of bells and whistles (ie. remote, lights, etc.), as it’s just more that can fail and there’s nothin worse than all the effort to install new fan only to have the light fail and require replacement of the whole shebang.
We have been married 44 years and slept on a waterbed, yes a waterbed for our entire marriage until we went fulltime, now we use a sleep number and we love it.
That remote thermostat that works on Wi-Fi must not work if there's no Wi-Fi signal in that area. It would seem to be a huge drawback and make that completely useless.
We have our own WiFi and have only ever run into not having a signal once in a very remote area of Wisconsin. With our Starlink now, we have coverage options for those remote areas.
Refrigerators for modern RVs must be pretty wimpy if you have to keep turning it up and down during different seasons. The refrigerator in my 1970s travel trailer stayed very constant and I lived in it year-round in temperatures anywhere from 122° in the summer down to 20° below freezing in the winter. I also love the fact that those old refrigerators did NOT have circuit boards that go bad and need to be replaced.

They had us donate the one we didn’t like. Super easy many donation places pick up for free. In our case we passed to a family we knew would use it.
Oh yea! The mattress is on! I have one when boondocking and it's cold, laying on ply wood until it heats up. That gel crap I belive.
Watched an older video and you mentioned there was a link to find the clothing with experiences/things, well leave it to me but I can’t find it. I did find recommended Amazon products but that’s it. Could you please give a link for the t shirts and hoodies?
Yep, you can find them here: gratefulglamper.com/shop/
So if the mattress isnt one that works how hard is it to roll back up to ship back, how much did it cost to ship back
They actually had us donate it instead of shipping it back - super easy process
More great information! Question for anyone, as I was looking through the description of items, I noticed one for SoftStartRV. Is this item easy to install?
It’s fairly easy and they also have great phone support if you run into any snags with the install.

Getting ready to become full timers. Love your updates.
Thanks for watching!
We have that mattress! Got it customized for size. Love it! Had about a year.
That’s a great thing to have!
Thought you might like to know that I received the fans from your link. They look the same but don't have the same mounts. No hooked mounts to mount on the frig vent.
Write to Titan and let them know the mounts were missing. Our came with mounts but we also used some
Gorilla tape to hold in place.
@@GratefulGlamper It came with mounts, just not the ones that you have with a hook on it. But that's ok. I was able to figure out a way to make it work.
Totally unrelated question: what tape product do you use to hold items (photos) on your walls? Thanks!
The photos are mixtiles and they come with an adhesive strip on the back. They’re great because you can “stick” and “unstick” them several times.
Do you have a recommendation to replace the sofa bed with one that is actually comfortable to sleep on?
Nice video, great ideas!
Thanks for watching!
The mattress was the first thing we upgraded too! We went big though! We went with the top of the line Purple mattress.
Nice!
Thanks for sharing. Love your T shirt!
Thanks! It’s on our website
@@GratefulGlamper glad you mentioned that. Usually under YT vids they show stuff for sale but I didn’t see that. I’ll check it out!
👍🏻
Great info. Thanks for sharing.

Would you share where and how you get photos to stay on your walls
Which mattress did you get? $1405.00 seems like a high price to pay for three weeks a year in our camper. But I know that if we upgraded, we would definitely be taking the mattress with us.
We got the Brooklyn Aurora Hybrid. I honestly wish we would have upgraded sooner, best night sleep ever.
Well i guess we are the only ones who LOVE the heated mattress that came with our Rockwood Camper. Yeah HEATED that thing worked blew our minds 20's outside and we started sweating in bed.
Heated? That’s a neat feature
Where do you do most of your work on your RV? IN Campgrounds or at a home-based?
We’ve worked on our RV in both places.
The exchange process was very easy, they had us donate the one that didn’t work out.
I think our next upgrade will be biting the bullet and upgrading the whole fridge to a 12v compressor fridge! I’m sick of our crappy 2 way
If our fridge were to bite the dust, we’d do the same. But it just keeps going, and going, and going 🤷♀️
I'm just curious, How did you get your returned mattress out and returned/
They asked us to donate it so that is what we did and the organization that we donated to came and picked it up
@@GratefulGlamper cool
I have 2 of the Brooklyn bedding latex pillows ive had them at least 2yrs and I love them they are perfect but box was they expensive lol $80 each when I bought them but so work it

Question, on one of my channels I follow: they got a Ninja flip air fryer a few months ago, I am trying to see how they are liking it? Let me know if it's you all. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years. Ben II
FYI: it was KYD
Hey there, this is the air fryer that I have/use. amzn.to/3Vud7cl I it’s worked great for what we use it for.
@Grateful Glamper thank you, one of the channels I watch got a Ninja a few months ago and I am wanting to know what they think. Thanks again.
Very informative! 😀😃✌😎
Thanks!
Howdy there, FYI I didn't get any discount with your code. The RV Mattress was $1700 with OR without the Grateful coupon code.
Contact customer service at Rvmattress and they can make sure you’re credited for the discount
Great info
Glad it was helpful!
Great video! Thanks for the info. What are the picture frames you have on the walls and where did you get them? Thank you!
The are Mixtiles! You can get them at mixtiles.com

I'm a new retired rv owner
I choose a 85 holiday rambler the best it was free so I want to learn lot to give this Ole girl an upsate
Can’t beat free!
Well, let me be the first. We were actually pleasantly surprised how nice the king size mattress in our 2022 Entegra Vision XL 36A is. It is as good as the memory foam mattress we got for our prior RV. 🙂
That’s great to hear! (Not many people say that, lol).
We had plans of getting a new mattress. Then we slept on this one. The money saved went towards a washer/dryer combo. Something on our list (my wife's). lol
Super easy if you are young. Climbing up on top of RV. Nope not doing it, Camping world here I come.
Like your T shirt! Check out James Casto song “Grateful”.
Love the inside fridge fan. Never knew. Looking into. Out side fans built myself. Thanks for your videos, always interesting. Retired and ready to hit the road permanently, well until gas hits $10 gallon. Hope not. Thanks.😊
We hope fuel doesn’t go to much higher, guess time will tell. Thanks for watching
Funny we have 2007 and my wife like the stock mattress
I knew before you even said it, the Mattress! I have no clue why they don't provide a better mattress. Yes, it adds cost, but when they buy in bulk, it should not add that much cost to the RV.
Maybe because people like so many different things in a mattress? Who knows, either way it’s seems most everyone replaces them.
Hey y’all
Hi!
Interested in link for thermostate
Link is in the video description - you can also find it here: amzn.to/37A8URc
Ty
It was the best I took it to the dump
I guess we upgraded our mattress. We bought our TT used so I told the stealer to keep the mattress the original owner used and we got a new 10” one.
Nice!
The max air fans do have the auto temp setting (ours do). Check them out on the Etrailer website (link in description).
We have been married 44 years and slept on a waterbed, yes a waterbed for our entire marriage until we went fulltime, now we use a sleep number and we love it.
Waterbed? That’s a blast from the past! Thanks for watching
We replaced the RV shower head with an Oxygenics shower head.
That upgrade is one on our want to do list!
We also put an Oxygenics shower head in our shower. This is a fairly inexpensive but critical upgrade. This shower head also saves water. 😎
You keep saying are RV...
I should be our RV...
