When prepping for a trip, I use a vacuum sealer (we love our Food Saver) to package portions of dry goods, fresh or frozen meats and fish, leftovers, and cheese to save space and keep things fresh longer. I make casseroles, spaghetti sauce, and meatloaf, then freeze in RV freezer-sized rectangular containers, remove when frozen and then vacuum them.
Wow lucky those who travel with you. I took a remote kayak/hike trip with a company in Alaska and they vacuum sealed amazing meals stored in bear proof containers. Roughed it outside but ate so well. Great tip.
Mods and Hacks NEVER get old even the ones we know about but forgot because it's all in the timing of when the right hack saves the day. Thanks to all for sharing - "small is better" but not in the number of mods and hacks ...

I'm looking at the bonus hacks from the lady with the clear bins. I think what I like even more than that, is how she lined the back of her cabinets with the silver insulation! We use it on the windows to cut the heat....never thought about it for the cabinet heat. Very cool idea!
My best mod is using a Camplux campground on-demand water heater to give me endless hot water (until the propane runs out) with campground or external water is available. Now there is a choice between hot water from the tank or the Camplux with the turning of a valve. Requires a knowledge of plumbing.
These hacks are so great! I’m excited to get another rig again(sold ours earlier this year). I especially loved the food tips because as a brand new RVer…that was a huge issue last year for me.
I set produce out and let it dry before placing it in my containers, with paper towels. I can keep cilantro for two weeks. Fresh strawberries for up to ten days or more....Dry is so important. I've done this since I got married in 1978. I'm a Master Food Preserver with the Ag Dept of UC Davis trained. Have fun on the road everyone!
It looked like Phil & Stacy also had Reflectix inside their cabinets on the outside wall. I’m trying to think of other ways to insulate the rig, for instance we get a “breeze” from under our slides. I might get some insulation blankets cut to size under my slides and attach them with Velcro when setting up. Rob
LOL! I bought a 2021 NuCamp 320-S (tiny teardrop) trailer and while I waited the 2 months for delivery, I started purchasing storage and decor items based on memory from looking at one on the lot. When my trailer arrived, I realized I had purchased waaaay too many things and some things that didn't fit. 🤦♀️ But I was so excited after watching so many videos, I couldn't resist! 🤣
I love your videos - you keep it lite and interesting! Love it!!!!!!!!!!! Rick I've been on the road now for over 14 yrs. and always looking for better places to boon dock!! Stay safe and stay HAPPY!
Another tip…her a sou vide and put your prepare your frozen food with all seasoning then put the entire frozen thing in the pot with the sou vide and then you can leave it to cool. It will be PERFECT every time. Did I say perfect? Yes. Perfect

Thank you for all your help tips and information your positive energy and your fun. Wishing you a wonderful day from Porter Ranch, California.
You have mentioned a couple times that you didn't like your first new mattress and got a replacement. What happened to the other mattress? If it was returned to Brooklyn Bedding, then please describe the return process including how the mattress was prepared / packaged for shipment. Thank you.
Brooklyn Bedding had us donate the mattress we didn’t like and we found someone right away who needed it and was willing to come pick it up. The new ones come rolled up in a box for easy transport
Hi, I just saw your video for Lectric XP3.0. You are talking about eBike rack ...what did you buy and did it worked? We have a Sprinter Van and we do not know which rack to buy ;0)
Love your videos, but have questions about switching fridges. All of our research says you must switch wiring. The difference from AC to DC requires a much bigger wire to be done safely. That has stopped us from making the switch to date. Everyone should check their wiring before making this upgrade.
Hey there, you won’t necessarily need to change wiring depending on your application: The couple we spoke with that installed the 12 volt fridge used the same 12awg wire that was connected to the old fridge and just added a fuse. The wire size safety specs for our Dometic DC4101 are as the following from the manual. “ Wire Size Maximum Length Wire Size 13 AWG2 8.0 ft (2.4 m) 8 AWG 12 AWG 13.0 ft (4.0 m) 6 AWG 10 AWG 20.0 ft (6.1 m) Wire Size and Maximum Length 13 AWG is up to 8.0 ft (2.4 m) 12 AWG is up to 13.0 ft (4.0 m) 10 AWG is up to 20.0 ft (6.1 m) There is a link to their install video: ruclips.net/video/jBB-QUwKmW4/видео.html
I just moved into my RV, I gave my sister the RV mattress she uses it as a topper, i bought a nice mattress 8 month ago and did not want to part with it.
Well your mattress sounds great but I have a dream cloud with 365 day trial. Some times 120 days may not be enough if you have injury's like I do. Hitting the pavement sometimes at 180 mph, I was a Motorcycle Racer, makes sleeping difficult so the extra time, I hope, will help decide what level of mattress I need. Can't and would not on your channel recommend anything, except this may be important for people with injuries. I can say I have not decided yet. But hopefully the extra time will help.
I have to say … we tried rv mattress ( Brooklyn bed) and we were not happy. Have a memory foam at home and it just wasn’t comfortable. Felt worse the og mattress. Not great!
Hello! Sure enjoy watching your channel! Asking for HELP PLEASE! Since watching this video last evening, I have spent at least 2 hours on Amazon searching for the storage bins that were in the closet of You me and the RV, and I am not finding anything even close! Can you please help us find those!!! I have searched their Amazon page as well as yours. Would solve a HUGE problem for us! Thank you for posting such great content! Any help is much appreciated! :)
ALL manufacturers of RV’s should be embarrassed. They put in complete garbage for mattresses, whether it’s a $20K travel trailer or a $100K toy hauler. We’re talking about a couple of hundred dollars if they signed a quantity deal with mattress manufacturers. Even if they pass the cost on to us, it would be so much better than the joke of a mattress they all put in. It’s really disgusting what they do. Wish there was a manufacturer who had balls to change the industry and put in mattresses that people can actually sleep on. That will never happen unfortunately…HORRIBLE!
chris and aaron: "and you're not wasting anything...." Actually, you are. All those single-use plastic bags. Washable plastic airtight containers would be better, but of course, it's all about fitting everything into a smaller fridge. I usually try to wash and reuse my ziplocs, but I only wish they were more durable and last longer.

I have been using a Food Saver since 1998 the containers are great and 95 % of everything in the freezer is in food saver bags

We use pool noodles to block drafts from under our kitchen counter & sofa on our slide. It also keeps cat toys from getting pushed under.
Great video with some great ideas. It looks like you all had a great time together!
Cool mods and hacks. LOVE the Texas tee! 👍🏻
