- Here's some of our favourite fossils, the gorgeous Nautilus in the cover photo for this video is a Calcified Nautilus! This is an insight into the past, what life was like 180 Million Years Ago even before many of the most famous land-dwelling Dinosaurs ever existed. Now, turned to stone, these fossils are falling from their stoney resting place of the cliffs and onto our beaches. Follow us along on our fossil and coastal adventures!

Sat watching your videos and I thought how come I recognise your face then I see who must be your dad . You gave me a lift from Runswick to port Mulgrave and either you or your brother said " dad can you remember the last person we kidnapped " haha luckily for me you're a nice family , cheers for the lift 👍
Ohh yeah! Hahahah I remember that! We were feeling extra kind that day so decided to let you go ;)
- I cannot believe that I have just learned about your channel. A subscriber of mine commented on a recent video and recommended I check you out. I have watched through a few of your videos tonight and have been smiling all the way through. I’m from that area originally and grew up playing around the areas you show in the videos. Brilliant job with the channel, the camera work and the fossils. Subbed up and look forward to watching more. 👍🏻😊
Oh, if only we had rocky shorelines here. Something about fossils makes my heart flutter. ♥️ I would love a slab of slate filled with Ammonites! 😍
Wow, that calcified nautilus is stunning! I love all the fossils you find, it must be amazing to be able to find so many different types! Please keep 'em coming!
If myself and my son saw that jaw bone in a rock I think for once we'd be speechless 🙈💗 looks like so much fun. Fossils where I'm from are teeney tiny ... but still cool. Thanks for sharing 🌼

What I would give to see the world as it was 200 million years ago.
Time...
oh come on ! These are just hanging out in the open on the beach for anyone? Gaaah you couldn't get me to leave ! I'm getting all warm and fuzzy watching this video ! so not fair !
Do you need any license for doing this? Or you can dig anywhere if it is a public coast?
I just discovered your channel, what a beautiful place you live. The beach you hunt appears to be loaded with great fossils. Thanks for sharing your finds and making an interesting channel. From Utah, USA.
You have some awesome fossil beds in your neck of the woods too! Thinking about making a trip out this summer to explore around Utah.
@@BlGGESTBROTHER there is so much to see and do, definitely make a trip if you can! the southern part of the state is where the red sandstone formations are, like arches national park, near moab, it's a must see.
@@chubbrock659 Awesome. I'm convinced now that I should go. So far my list of places to visit is Kolob, Grand Staircase NM, Goblin Valley, Valley of the Gods, Fossil Mountains, The Salt Flats, and Zion. Any other places you would say are a must see while I'm in state?
@@BlGGESTBROTHER those are all great locations and a relatively short drive from each other, other than the salt flats, they are in northern Utah. If you can make it over to Lake Powell, that is an amazing place in southern Utah, especially if you had a chance to rent a boat and fish and ski, it is like no place on earth. If you do make it to northern Utah, the great salt lake has an Island in it called Antelope Island with bison, huge deer, coyotes and antelope, this is close to the Salt Flats. It's a great place to spend a day sightseeing and checking out some cool animals. If you like architecture, downtown Salt Lake City has Temple square, the headquarters for the Mormon church and has some interesting sites and history.
@@chubbrock659 Awesome, thanks for the tips!
Was that a plesiosaur humerus towards the end of the vid?
Near Morrison, Colorado, there are dinosaur tracks!
I need to go to this place hehehhe
Keren lokasinya brow
I would love to know the difference between an ammonite and Nautilus I have some but I'm having trouble identifying which one is which
Hey quick question : where along the Jurassic coast are all the nodules
Amazing finds! Looks like you fellows have a fantastic place to hunt!
We sure do! It is a lot of fun!
It must be amazing to be able to just pick up fossils like this right next to your home. It's like having a gold mine in your back yard. I imagine if you wanted to you could make a fortune on fossils.
Awesome
Thanks :)
You’re welcome
Yorkshire Fossils I love these kinds of videos you make
Were you able to take the ichthyosaur jaw home?
the video is really educational and very interesting ... i made a lego like custom of AMMONITE For my channel... im a fan of dinosaur and extinct creatures... I just hope i could also make a info video like this for my AMMONITE soon ... love it...
Great finds. Yorkshire is beautiful. Too much movement with the camera. Please slow it down so we can enjoy it more.
I love this fossil the nautilus
i hafe the ammonite
What on earth was the shiny ball with the ammonite inside??
Golden fossil there those grey rocks but after a few million years they turn gold
My guess is that the fossil have been lodged in pyrite. The finder then polished it to make that beautiful gold-like pyrite shine.
Where did you find that jaw??
Could you do a video on the polishing and detail work you do on the fossils? And how cool for you to be so close to the beach to explore. Thanks for sharing. And how did you get into this fossil hunting?
You may become a David Attenbough or a Phil Harding of Wessex.
Where do you find your fossils?
Whats the thumb nail about?
Ok,
Dumb question but where in the heck can someone find these in North America? Way cool stuff for sure. A part of our past. :)
What do you do with all of these?
I’m coming to Yorkshire next Summer! I would love to meet you.
how old ar that ammonites
In which country it is showed
Can i find some fossil on a river near my house or i should get to the spot like that
Those fossils have any value? I have several large ones and other small ones, some are of figures that I never observed before, I found it when making a mine.
