It's crazy how a game with simple looking graphics ends up filling stadiums during tournaments. It looks like a game you'd find on mobile, but the visuals from music videos make it look really impressive (those are what peaked my interest to watch this)

Exactly. You would expect a visually entertaining game like Street Fighter to get this kind of attention. But a Street Fighter world championship tournament won't even fill out a quarter of that stadium. Even that would be a lot.
I love it too, it was fantastic for both - the stream and the people sitting there. We met in a game and after a few weeks of playing we realized we live just one city from each other. I hope League never dies.

It has been over a decade now since the game released in 2009. Thinking about the evolution of all the worlds events and how impressive they have increased in quality each and every single year, while every year filling up stadiums to the brim, with what I am pretty sure of, at least that many people at home cheering for teams and plays, I got emotional while watching this video and throughout could not stop thinking about this one thing: "It's just a game" I know, maybe it's not heard that much anymore, at least I don't, but when I remember that people exist who say that, I wish they would just watch this one single video and realize how big of a part "gaming" or even e-sports in this case is, in today's world.
