most recent ones are sylhet where BRTC wanted operate 10 AC AL 12M FE buses but the private bus owner attacked the BRTC bus depo and broke their buses and office and made them operate only 3 buses on sylhet - habiganj route. same happened in shariapur and made BRTC only operate 5 buses. private bus companies are also they reason why our railway is ruins as most bus owners are politians and they lobby the government to not devlop the railway as much. it's only recently (2017) our railway has been buying engines and coaches starting with Indian LHB'S

By the way, the inglorious days have come to haunt BRTC when they chose to import Ashok Leyland mainly. The bus build is very poor, quality is not like international western brands. Lucrative cheap chassis of Ashok Leyland and TATA draws attention of many bus operators in Bangladesh to buy from them. The glorius days of BRTC is when they used to operate Hino and Volvo double decker buses.
