Raj, the installer told me to unpair my phone from the PCM as it prevents conflicts like the one you experienced accessing the podcast
I use CarPlay permanently in mine now so doing so causes zero issues

Which make is the system used. I’m aware of 2 systems that are available, Joyauto & Isudar/Ebilien. The Joyauto system needs an external microphone whereas the Isudar doesn’t. Thank you.
This install was the Isudar variant without another external mic. Thanks, Raj
MR12VOLT has the best apple car play mod for PCM 3.1 and 3.0.

Hi Raj, I’d love something like this for my 997.2. Do you know if you can upgrade the software/firmware on these things and will future phone updates create future issues with compatibility? Thanks.
Thanks and it is possible to update these boards via the USB port they come with I believe, using downloaded software online. Also remember if there is a significant upgrade in hardware, you can remove this board and fit the newer version. Also Carplay, Android Auto is in a lot of vehicles now since 2014/2015, so they have to keep them relatively compatible in general. Thanks, Raj

No just on the PCM screen.

The installer was Rennworks.co.uk - the system they now install is the NM Automotive unit. Many thanks! Raj

I got mine for £650 but some charge upto £1000 so shop around

Thanks for posting Raj. System works really well but you have to get your head around how it works with the PCM. I’m glad you showed how to select CarPlay as the audio source on the phone as I didn’t realise that and it may solve a few teething issues I’m having. Loving the car and I’ve dechromed it since. If anyone thinking about buying a car from Raj then please be assured he only sells the best hand picked cars.
Thanks Rakesh! Glad you are still enjoying the 991 C4S, and also that the video helped. Someone else here has mentioned to unpair your phone from the PCM side, so it solely connects to the Carplay to prevent confusion. Hope this helps! Raj
This looks like the ISUDAR system which I added to my 981. Works great and no external box or microphone needed. Just make sure you have the most recent board revision with the filtered power cable as otherwise there is an annoying CarPlay cut out issue under hard acceleration with certain high spec configs and uk cars.
I get this when turning right or left quickly. It cuts out.
