You can tell who is a true FF7 gang when they instantly recognize FF7 menu sound. Maximilian Dood was not only known for being a fighting game guy but also one of the BIGGEST FF7 fanboy. No foreshadow could pass this man FF7 radar. When he heard the bombing mission OST in Cloud for Smash, you could tell how many times he played the game.
Really makes you think if a lot of people are just "Riding the Hype Train"

I haven't played the full game, but I know the sound of "New game".
When it sounded, I thought "Wait, isn't that the FF7 sound effect?", but I wasn't sure because maybe I was wrong. However, I wasn't.

@@sometallkoreansome of us were just hype because we knew how big it was. We were never riding the hype train. Riding the hype train insulates that we didn't care. I'm 17 I wasn't around for FF7 but I knew it was a pretty big game.

I've played and finished 7 multiple times, although I admit I love IX more, and I do recognize the sound effect when I am looking for it, but I have to admit that I don't know if I'd have recognized it otherwise, it would sound very familiar but whether I would instantly know where from? I don't even know If I'd recognize that for FFIX, and I love that more than any other game, or any other piece of media save LotR.
I like how a lot of these streamers know the sound effect for starting ff7 but don't remember the opening theme of it XD

@1 2 Just informing many games had that sound effect. Also thank you for not bashing me for getting name wrong of tecmo bowl. Lastly, ff7 is my 2nd favorite out of them all which I still have my discs. I sold ff8 though I disliked that one with a passion.

First rpg i played back in 90s a and man it feels like life repeating itself. I can't wait to see Tifa and actually the world map. Im so hyped for this. I remember I used some quarters and around 20000 pennis to purchase FF7 game. I was shaking back then and I'm still shaking now to purchase this game.
It's interesting to see how some people needed to see Aerith to know what's coming and many only needed the text and where flipping out because they knew. That along with the soundeffect in the beginning shows the true fans
I got a PS1 in 1997. with it i got the first Spyro, the 2nd Crash and FF7. life was so good then. life is so good now.

Only who played FF7 on the 90's know why this game touched so many lives. One of the best OST ever, one of the best villains ever, THE most iconic death of all games and more.

The only game where showcasing like the first few hrs of content from the main game and just a single character in the vast universe of FF VII larger cast, can get the fans this excited. When a full blown trailer gets released with over world map travel, summons, more battle system magic on display, exploration of city hubs or the dune buggy. I think people will flat loose their shit.

I'll be honest: Never played 7, at all. My entry into the series was 15, sad to say. But, this does indeed look interesting and i hope to play it when it releases in 10,000 years.

I had mixed feelings about the FF7 remake especially when it came to the voice acting. When i played FF7 and other rpgs that have no voice actors when i read the text my imagination puts the voice to the words. I was expecting to be disappointed a bit by the voice acting but after hearing Aeris/ Aerith's voice i was content. Seeing her i fell in love all over again but at the same time know i have to experience the horror of watching her die all over again. As funny as some of the reactions in this video are i have no room to talk because i was reacting the same way. FF7 isn't just another videogame, it's a special moment in the lives of the fans of this epic story.

Patrick PFC yes it is. But when they localized the game in 1997 the used aeris instead of aerith. It’s just the fact that I spent 20 years calling her aeris that it’s hard to call her anything but that.

You won't be able to change their names dude, Cloud at least cuz Sephiroth addressed him as Cloud in the trailer. It felt awkward in FFX that you can name Tidus and the Aeons but not the other characters.
