I turned 40 in February, leaving school at 16 after a family bereavement I just moved around office job after office job. I’m now doing prep classes to study a bachelor in nursing next year. If I can do it, ANYONE can do it. Life is too short to not give things a try 💖
Ok on the topic of blowdrying!! I found it too hard to hold both the hairdryer and the round brush so I got that like $50 Revlon one-step blowdryer and it was life changing- 10/10 recommend!!
being a reception/handling payments is a tough position but there is soooo much growth. i wouldn’t be where i am had i not been thrown into this position. currently an engineer so this office job is random on my resume but has the most to contribute to my work ethics today. every position anyone takes on shapes you in some form no matter how random or relevant to your long term goals.

I work in vision. I started as a vision tech then went into vision sales and now I’m a manager of a Visionworks. I ❤️ my patients! I never thought this would be my career, but I love interacting with patients and wearing different hats during the day. Sometimes I’m helping with insurance, other times I’m doing a lot of ordering, or jumping into sales. I can’t imagine just being in an office everyday.

career change is easier if opportunities are readily available, like in your case, both of your parents are in different industries. but here in my country, you actually need to go back to school and start from zero. i wish i can do it though..
