The Sony a7iv is an amazing hybrid camera if you know how to use it. Also it’s smaller more compact and can become a small cinema rig if needed. I use the a7iv with the sigma 24-70 f2.8 and a half cage by small rig with the dji mic very versatile. 😁
Hi Ashley, I too have tried most of the mirrorless offerings with the exception of Leica. For best ergonomics, performance and system use I would rank the camera brands as follows: #1 Canon, #2 Nikon, #3 Sony and a distant #4 Fujifilm. Once you've used the Canon mirrorless system and outstanding ergonomics it's hard to go back.
The Sony is highly customisable and you can avoid having to go in the menus. Just set it up as you wish…. 4 dials in total. Pretty easy to assign white balance to one of them.
On the EVF on sony, they are shocking! Sony also don't calibrate the screens on their A7iii or A7IV so the colours, brightness ETC don't match between the two on MANY of the cameras. I had 4 different A7IIIs and only one of them had an EVF that match the LCD colour wise. I sent them into sony and they told me this was normal for an A7III and they don't calibrate displays on cameras other than the A9... so I switched brands :S
Ok not a professional photographer...you are probably like why comment then? I do, do family portraits and smash cake birthday portraits. And I use a Canon APS C the M6, for those. Still why am I commenting? I don't have a Sony A7iv (but would love one) I have the A7C. And it's EVF is worse. But anyway I took my Sony for video to an abandoned prison and they said I could take only pictures...I had never used my Sony for that...and I had a blast! And never have I got better compliments on my photography. And it was so easy. Raw in Lightroom for Sony is seamless. On PC and mobile. The colors were amazing straight out of camera not much editing. The Sony is fun to me. And I am a Canon fan. But I will get the A7IV.

I can see why you would like the Leica Q2 for personal use. The design elements, 28mm lens and image quality are very compelling indeed.

I figured it was possible. Thanks for letting me know for sure!
Having an R5 and A7iv and the R5 skin is much more pleasing. Sony has a huge advantage in lenses.
Good to know!!! I am loving the RF lineup of lenses so far. Curious to try better Sony glass.

Thanks for the info! What do you currently use?
@@LavishGracePhotography I'm shooting with a Canon R5 and R6 but I also use Fujifilm Cameras (for Personal Work and Video mainly).

Heresy!! Jk. I don't wanna try anything else bc I might like it. R6 for me for at least another 5 years
That is my hesitation with trying all the major brands. I am fully invested in Canon! Luckily, so far, I still prefer canon! 😊
@@LavishGracePhotography I could probably afford the new body, but the divorce lawyer that would come with a new camera is what makes me pause.
