    I’m not sure why I watched this video as I have owned the R6m2 for a couple years now but I liked your 15-35mm video so I clicked on this one! I have read your words on negative comments being the reason you stopped making videos. That’s a shame. I’m feeling the need to rant right now and I’m bored, so I’m gonna let it rip! First, you cannot let negative people hamper you from doing something you enjoy. People are jerks in general and having the security of being online (anonymous) really allows jerky people go full jerkwad. Ignore them. Second, if you don’t love making videos then by all means, bail on it. Just don’t quit because of comments. I have a channel and I don’t make a ton of videos either but it’s due to my work life. I’m a deputy sheriff and I have a weird life in the sense I am sleeping when most people are awake. It’s not conducive to making creative content. Plus, in all honesty, I’m ugly so I’m probably doing the world a favor by not blasting my face out there! But I’m not holding back on making videos because some people make stupid comments. I find it to be a weakness in myself if I allow other people to dictate how I do what I want with my life. Not to mention most people will not be bold enough to say the things they say online to your face. I actually get a bit of satisfaction reading negative comments. I feel it shows I impacted that person to the point they felt obligated to type a comment out to me. Positive or negative, whatever I said or did influenced another human to the point they were motivated to say something. I won that situation! After all, they could’ve just clicked away. Okay, rant over. I like your videos. I watched 3 of them. Yeah, you play with your hair a lot but that’s probably something you do in real life off camera so I feel it shows authenticity on your part! Keep doing vids. Most consumers of RUclips like authentic people and will gravitate toward channels run by real, unpolished, unapologetic people. I wish you the best either way!

      @@FloridaTwoWheelAdventures thank you so much for taking the time to comment! I actually have 3 RUclips channels and this one just had the most negativity so I haven't had the motivation to post here. I have an art channel where I post 3 videos a week and I am having a blast with that! I may still post more here, I am getting to the point where I can ignore the rude comments more. I guess after you hear them a lot, they start to lose their meaning. Make sense? Anyway, thank you for watching! You have encouraged me to film another video soon.

    I’m considering getting the R6 II. I have the 70-200 f2.8 lens but don’t use it much because it’s so heavy that I can’t hold it steady enough to get sharp photos without at least a monopod. Since you’re a woman who looks to be similar size and muscle to me, I’m wondering if the IBIS, coupled with the lens stabilization, is adequate to allow you to handhold this lens on the R6 II & get sharp photos.

    I just got the same set a couple weeks ago. I have discovered that shutter speed is key b/c the aperture affects blur. The higher the aperture the less blur and vice versa. Adjusting the shutter in this case, can help with exposure. My ISO so far, I leave at 100.

    это норма когда на rf 100 обьектив сморишь (не вставленный в фотоаппарат) и пару розовых точек как бы внутри линз ,как блики,точечная размытость легкая,при вращении в руках эти точки также перемещаются? Купил первый обьектив и не понятно это нормально или косяк какой то..

    I like the RF 85 because it's lighter. For me, I'm "new" to mirrorless and digital - hello Kodachrome. Thank you for your objective and personal review. I also have the RF 135 mm, f1.8 L - it's 2.1 lbs. I like the 135 angle-of-view alongside the 85, and I like the f1.8, but I don't like the 2.1 lbs. I'm just a Sunday shooter, so my "needs" are different. Again, thank you for sharing an objective viewpoint. PS: Decades ago, with film, I went from 50mm and 105mm to 35mm and 85mm. I prefer it. Yes - I have both the RF 35mm f1.8 and the RF 85mm f2. Film and manual focus was lighter and quieter.

    Hi Ashley I've been wandering if a RF 50mm f/1.2 lens is capable of taking group photo (6-7 people) with decent depth of field at f/2 or f/2.8. For group photos I use RF 24-70mm f/2.8 at f/4 and everyone looks decently sharp and in focus. It would help lower the ISO and flash power if the RF 50 f/1.2 takes good group shots stopped down to f/2 or at least f/2.8. Thanks in advance.

    • @LavishGracePhotography
      @LavishGracePhotography Год назад

      I really just depends on how far away from your subject you are. I most definitely use my 50mm at f2 for family shots. The closer you are to your subject , the smaller your depth of view is. So if you are not super close up, then it will work.

    Great video... Question - how do you get around the 1/8000 max shutter speed, when shooting wide open at F1.2? In daylight my RF50mm f1.8 often clips at 1/8000!! the only solution is to increase the aperture a stop or two f2.8 f3.2 etc... But I don't want to! If I lower the ISO to 50 - it just blows out the highlights, looks yuk! (Street photography on an R6 with face/eye tracking is so easy, an amazing camera for speed/accuracy, except for the 1/8000 limit!!!). On my Fujifilm X-T3 it can shoot up to 1/32,000 - I wish canon had this feature...

      Buy an ND filter for it. Neutral density filters, especially not-variable ones don't hurt the quality very much and take away a few stops of light. Should help with the shutter speeds easily.

    Good video. And your sister has a model's face--very nice. The info you brought to my attention interested me quite a lot. But the best thing--and the thing that really grabbed me--is that i did not know until the very end what would happen, though I suspected a certain outcome. And I was wrong. So add to my enjoyment of this video a surprise ending--I was certain you would choose the Sigma! I own each of these lenses. However, I move back and forth between the mirrorless world and the older DSLRs. On top of that, my work is shared equally between Sony and Canon. I don't own the R6, but my daughter does--and she loves it and is a very capable photographer. Anyway, lovely video.

    Very interesting video, thanks. Like you, I have a Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 and I also bought the RF 85mm f/2.0 thinking it would be an improvement. And, as did you, I also found it to be very underwhelming; with virtually no difference from my EF 1.8. And again, as did you, I returned the RF 2.0. I didn't see the need to spend $500 to get (maybe) $1 worth of difference from what i already have. Thanks again.

    My experience definitely does not mimic your experience with this lens. If I get close, it hunts and hunts and just gives up. I had to set the camera to never give up so that it could eventually find the focus. Now that it keeps trying it does eventually find it, but boy is it slow.
