Invisible man presentation on how to do one of Master Rickson Gracie's escapes from the bottom cross side position. This technique, approach, and principles are found in the Jiu Jitsu Global Federation curriculums - JJGF www.jjgf.com. I have seen a few instructors attempt to teach this technique without all the invisible details, and why it is Rickson's 3rd hardest technique to do. This is a very difficult strategy to perform under stress and during what I call the "Psychological Test" where you have your training partner pin all of his or her weight into your far side shoulder and just under your armpit using the gi lapel. Without doing the technique as I teach in the video herein, you will not be able to turn towards your training partner and complete the escape. If you do not believe, take the psychological performance test and try to escape starting with your back completely flat on the mat. At several of my seminars when I taught this cross escape technique, I used the biggest person in the room to pin me only to express the principles of Invisible Force Jiu Jitsu Theory.
If you enjoy my approach to teaching Jiu Jitsu (even though I don't have an assistant), follow me on Social Media and RUclips: Tony Pacenski. Further, I have a big project coming soon developed for first responders called Gunji Taiho Jutsu (Military Arresting Technique). It is my big written manual and over 125 + instructional videos of curriculum and instructor content. This is going to be my next contribution to Martial Arts and now Military/Law Enforcement. In the meantime, enjoy the video and share it with the right people.

Tony - love your vids. Question on this one. How to prevent the opponent from just going to North South? I have been using this but that’s what happens. Then I’m stuck!

Yes I understand that is an issue. I am waiting for Rickson to teach them move on video so that you can see it from him. After you learn this technique or if someone else teaches you it, you’ll be able to look at this video in a much different way. I’ve pointed out all of the different elements to make this work for you.
