Edit: Alright so apparently I just got owned on the size of mine, I’ve versed several since this one and they’ve all been huge.
FYI a move you missed is when he has his arms powered up he'll pull up the ground and throw you up into the air and then literally clap you as you fall back down
@@echoesactzero5131 ah yes, the Hulnk- I mean, Garangolm Smash move
Damn i immidietly got the largest possible one myself
Low key, my first Golm was max size, I had the exact opposite reaction, LOL
@@echoesactzero51313:34
That is the smallest one I’ve seen…the couple I fought were huge!
Same here, and they also had no sortof crown
I actually didn't like Garangolm's design when he was announced, but now that I have fought him, he is in my top 10 monsters now.
Really fun to fight this guy
Tastes differ of course, but what exactly bothered you about him after his announcement? When the very first trailer came out and the setting was revealed, most people already suspected that Capcom was going for monsters inspired by western myths and stories this time around. Having something based on Frankenstein's monster was almost given at that point and they managed to pull it off quite well without getting too outlandish for Monster Hunter. The dual element arms as a reference to the inspiration being made of different body parts is a cool idea and as you said, the fight is fun too.
But to be fair I also had some minor issues with Lunagaron's design, once again I like how they implemented the werewolf motif by making him switch between being quadrupedal and bipedal mid fight, but I wish he was less scaly and had some more fur if that makes sense. Even Zinogre has at least some on his backside. It also would've complemented Luna's "frost mode" even better if his pelt froze up and got all stiff and needly like an agitated animal that's puffing up its fur to look more threatening.
@@vermillion6159 Not too sure honestly, I just know that it wasn't jiving with me
@@vermillion6159 Then he would be a fanged beast and not a fanged wyvern. He needs the scales to be more "dragon".
@@MeekCrayon fair enough. Like I said, I personally think that they executed the concepts they wanted to go for quite well, but in the end it's all subjective^^
@@AnimeALX you're right. That's why I used Zinogre in particular as an example, he's a Fanged Wyvern too and has fur on his back that straightens up when fully charged. I was thinking along those lines
Even after fighting a large one I still think it’s kinda small to what they were hyping up as the largest fanged beast behind Gammoth
4:04 ya know, I never saw that move solo... But I did see it when hunting it in endgame and it wiped all 3 of the randoms, instantly failing the mission. I guess they've never seen it either, and I was just lucky to be the one that didn't cart
Garangolm is my favourite monster so far 😊 also when he’s enraged aim for his arms when you break those he’ll go rolling it’s hilarious
Garangolm pretty much 3 shot me the first 30 seconds into the hunt
Definitely a wake up call telling me to actually farm for better armor :/
My first quest fail in Sunbreak was against Rajang. That said, my first cart in Sunbreak was against Jyuratodus, so…
Huh
My first faint was garangolm when i was trying to take a photo of his arms and he killed me and I actually dont think i got a fail yet but I almost did a few times
Edit: just got my first quest fail all because i was trying out a new weapon but i was doing pretty well just a few more hits would have killed it i wont say who the monster is just in case you arent there yet
4:10 wth, I've fought it like 5 times by now and I've never seen that move.
That move catches many off guard when it happens
You are probably breaking his fists before he can do it.
Yeah, I didn't now that was a move either until I hunted my fourth one 😬
Ok so I only just noticed that Australia and Europe got sunbreak first and then America got it I guess it’s a good thing to be Australian
Sometimes. Occasionally we get games later than everyon else. It's very hit and miss. Technically we're not getting them early anyway, we're 8 hours ahead of everyone else so officially we're getting it same day as everyone else.
@@meikahidenori yeah but we get it 8 hours earlier
That's a very small Garangolm
I didnt even notice the dual elements since the mossy arm kinda just looks normal since its already covered in moss
I'll assume the monster you were thinking of was Ukanlos, maybe? It also drags its head a lot on the ground
That or those yian kulu bird things
So this chonker and Steve, which I swear the latter was borderline Fatalis size, were huge on my first encounter! I guess Gammoth wouldn't be too out of place based on the size of some of Citadels zones
The monster with that charge attack was the Seltas Queen!
4:10 all my time fighting Garangolm I never saw this move! It looks cool! How did you get it to do that?
After watching you using the Great Sword against Garangolm, I'm glad to stick to my main of heavy bowgun. Keep my distance and block and counter the hits to hit harder.
3:45 I thought the same, he reminds me of Seltas Queen.
he’s kinda like a fanged beast brachy to me
Are you talking about Ukanlos? That attacks with its chin
The head drag reminds me of Dodogama
Frankenmonkey is perfect. I just with they'd brought back Blangonga so we could have an all monkey quest and no that parrot that throws shit at you doesn't count.
I remember fighting my second golm was enormous and was a gold crown to the point where I had my first and second faint to him in sunbreak... And I loved him way more than my first hunt on him which was pretty small and really really easy and kinda disappointed me
Honestly, I don’t get why it’s classified as one of the Three Lords of Elgado if it’s so low in the food chain.
Tier does not equal food chain it's more to the hunters themselves I mean Goss is a lower tier than Rathalos but I doubt a Rath would want to mess with that bear
For trying to pick the great sword back up you’re doing pretty decent, keep up the good work
You DONT have 232 pictures of monsters!?!?
Rajang Vs Garangolm Full Fight Anyone?
