Literally changing from console to kb and m feels like you’re starting fortnite all over again.
Edit: thanks for all the likes and for all people wondering how it’s going: It takes a while to get used to especially if it’s your first time using a keyboard in a game. After the first month it starts to feel natural, and from there the improvements get very noticeable, as you start to outperform the best you have ever played on controller. Completely worth it in the end!

It’s definitely worth it after 3 months I have gotten better than controller and I have been playing that for 4 years

Wow, this was really helpful. I used to play Fortnite competitively on controller, but decided to switch to kbm three weeks ago. My edits and aim were back to how it was on controller by week two. I had gotten used to my binds and building, but I struggled a lot with movement. Turns out, my index finger was way over-worked when trying to build. I had copied your binds when I first started on kbm. I've switched a lot of my binds around now, and I'm already seeing improvement like crazy! Honestly don't know what I'd do without you and KenBeans! Keep up the awesome content!! ❤
What your build bind just for help for me and see what I can do
My build binds as in plural? Well, I play with a keyboard joystick now, but when I was on normal kbm my binds were Q, F, and the two mouse buttons for building. C for edit.
I been wanna to buy a joystick but I can’t make myself do it lol yeah those nice keybind

@@exot1c_dark066 Well, I missed the 360 degree movement on controller so I decided to purchase one after about two months on keyboard and mouse. Hands down the best decision I've ever made.

I have a mmo mouse, I put every keybind that isnt build related on my mouse, and it works really well, it improved my gameplay by 100x as the keyboard hand isnt stressed, so it helps me put more time in the game.
I just learned 90s in an hour bcuz of u thanks

hey Jivian there is one thing that i would like to see you cover on and that is your finger accuracy when your trying to reach your buttons on the keyboard like theres always a good chance that i will accidently press the wrong button when i try to press the button i want to press instead any tips on fixing it im really dyslexic in my body and would like to improve on it i also have trouble on my memory when trying to press the keys from future pro gamer to real pro gamer :D

Im recently coming from controller and new to keyboard mouse. I made my own simple creative map with a zombie spawners. I needed to practice the mind to muscle connection in my fingers while under a little duress before i could do any of these drills in the video.

What graphics card do you have. And what do you set ur max fps to?
right now i have 2400 dpi and a sens from arround 8.5 should i lower that? For me it feels really comfortable now and i dont have a to big mousepad.(its like 30 by 20 cm)
just wondering I use thumb/index for editing but I mostly use thumb cause it feels wierd editing with index for me since then my middle finger is on w when my index finger is usually on w so should I try to switch to only using index?

i would give a tip, if you have any bonus buttons on your mouse, use them to edit builds, after some practice it will feel realy comfortable
no u should use them as a build bind theres a reason no pros use it to edit but almost every pro has it for a build bind
mouse button is really delayed it has a lot of input delay thats why people dont use that

@@Fekzuru if you have a 1000hz mouse it won't be more delayed than your keyboard unless you have over a 1000hz keyboard.
i have 2buttons on the side and i use them for wall and stair and it has really helped

I hope you are having a wonderful time. Love the video! and I really would like to do this routine everyday! But I have very bad wifi that gives me an average of 200 plus ping. And some days I just cant play entirely! Im stuck and I dont know how to improve, could you help me?
It os same for me. Sometimes it is even 1,100 ping😂.
What platform are you on? I used to play on Switch and my ping would spike from 300 to 1,100. When I switched to PS4 and eventually PS5 I had similar issues, with ping spiking to around 300. If you're sharing internet with other people in the house, when other people connect to the wifi to stream videos or anything like that, it will make your console/pc lose connection with the internet and then reconnect. That's what causes internet spikes. If that's the problem you're having, I recommend getting a direct connection to your internet router if you can. :)
@@Sariafn ty for the idea! The thing is I live in my school so my internet is spread out to everyone in the school. I can’t really do anything about that but I will try my hardest to get a wire I can connect to my pc. Thx a lot :)

Jivan, thanks for another great video. I'm playing on a sens that's very close to yours but it seems like my mouse hand still moves way further around the mousepad than yours. For instance, a simple box when I build it is never a small, controlled circle, but something more hectic. In general, I'm an old noob so I suspect something with my technique is wrong. Mousepad space is not a problem, my desk and mouse pad are big, I just want to improve my abysmal technique. Any tips would be much appreciated.
