I have sold most of my Chanel bags. Felt like I had to have one in each size and collection when I was purchasing but after I had all these numbers of bags, I felt so stupid. Didn’t feel any happier and realize I fell for all the media hypes. I decluttered influencers I follow and sold most of them and felt so good. So much happier to have the ones I love the most. My last classic flap I purchased from the store was $6800 and thinking it was a big purchase. I would never purchase classic flap with the price tag that is now especially with the quality. I had 4 medium classic and sold them all. Think Im over with the classics. Couldn’t agree more with this video. Less is more.
I always say it feels so good to let go of what's not working for us. But there are so many others out there who talk about seller's remorse and regretting saying goodbye to certain pieces that I think it spooks many of us out from doing what we know is right for us. I love that you and others here are commenting about feeling happier and lighter after curating your collection. I've always felt the same way. xx
One reason I love your channel is that you're not a bag snob. You seem to love, respect & enjoy your Pochette Accessoire, Coach, Mini Antigona, etc, as much as your Chanel, Hermes & Dior. It makes your content more well rounded & interesting, IMO. Love the commentary too & hope to hear more.
Love your video and your collection. They’re all beautiful:) Great choices. Congratulations you! But I only buy on the *BAGXGO* , they have good quality and reasonable prices.
Couldn’t agree more about the “diminishing returns”. I’ve purchased 7 handbags in 2021 and I definitely do not feel 7x of happiness. For 2022, I’d like to focus more on the experience “luxury” instead of goods. :)
This is the kind of content I am living for right now. I have not bought any Chanel or designer bags in 2021. I got my last Chanel in summer 2020. It was a black reissue and my all time favourite. Since then I have been full. I have all the bags I want and more. And actually, the bag I have used the most this fall and winter, almost every day, is a very simple design, a bumbag in grey reflective fabric, water resistant, cost 15€. And I truly appreciate the value this inexpensive little bag has brought to my life. I see value in very small everyday things. I see value in things, and in myself without any labels at all.
I love what you said about diminishing returns and I feel the same way. I feel satisfied with my bags in my collection. Constantly buying feels like luxury fast fashion and can be addictive. It does not make me any happier. I want to prioritise experiences now ❤️
Great video , I am already about 1 full year into not purchasing any new handbags . I have enough to last a lifetime ! Not to say i won’t ever purchase another but for right now , I am enjoying more experiences over luxury purchases . Getting older along with Covid , losing loved ones and the way of the world right now completely changed my entire mind frame . Tnanks for sharing , happy new year !
I'm so sorry for the loss of your loved ones. If we all pause and reflect, we know deep in our hearts that none of this "stuff" is important in the big picture. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. xx
I totally understand your thinking! Due to the pandemic I sure spent more on luxury too. Spending 4K to 6k on a bag is where I draw the line. For me I would love to own at least 1 Chanel but at the current pricing I just don’t see myself doing it!
🙌 preach! I agree with everything you said. No matter how wealthy one is, I find it “repulsive” when people are hoarding 20 more luxury bags on top of their 50 luxury bags and flashing their hauls, no matter how much I like their RUclips personality. Like with anything in life, balance is key….and I am so happy to see that even though you can just spend spend, you are seeking balance.
These people assume they will be able to sell their bags right away the reality is that places like Fashionphile are overwhelmed with inventory and are not accepting as many bags as before. These luxury hoarders will literally be left holding the bag
I have about 17 high end bags. Several purchased pre-loved. I have them because I love them. I live in a small bumpkin town where most people don't know what a CHANEL, Fendii, LV, or Hermes is or just don't care. I don't do it to flash or for any other reason, other than for me. I can afford it, I love them, so why not? Bags make me happy. However, as I get older, I have been slowing down.
if everyone stops buying all the time, this price increase wouldn't have happened... i am the same way! i do not care about the new bags! i just go for max of 2K.
Your honesty is so refreshing. I completely agree, especially the idea that just because you have more luxury bags, it doesn't mean it'll make you happier. I want to use my bags, not just let them sit around! I am just starting to get into luxury goods, but I do my best to do my research (like watching your videos) and gauge just how much I love it before I take the plunge
Thanks for sharing this with us! I too live in NYC, have been buying luxury for the past couple of years and now at purse peace. Chanel used to be my favourite, big Chanel seasonal bag fan! Now it doesnt give me that yummy feeling anymore. Also, my midtown apartment wardrobe is doing its best and I don't want to collect any more clutter. In 2022, I'll focus on exploring more higher quality, affordable brands that I can easily part with without much guilt. I'm re-discovering my love for Rebecca Minkoff lol
I like your content because I find there is always in “intent” behind your purchase. There is one luxury RUclipsr I follow who is also restrained in her purchases but large in her love for luxury- keeps a balance. I sometimes get an uneasy feeling when I see other RUclipsrs buying what appears like weekly or monthly luxury hauls. It’s nice that they can do that but I question what is for actual use versus just for purpose of shopping and posting.
Yes! Please share other items that you discover that aren’t mainstream and designer alternatives. I am excited for you and am looking forward to this new journey for myself as well. 😍
I agree about the quality issues. I've exchanged every item I've purchased from Chanel due to quality. It takes away from the excitement 😩 Great video as always!
I've definitely been trying to live in an abundance mindset as well, I feel like a lot of people were doing a lot of shopping last year and now we are in this space of feeling full and don't want to shop anymore. While I personally don't have any Chanel in my collection, I have a variety of other bags that I'm satisfied with and don't think adding another bag would add anything really except take away from the money in my bank account ahhaha
....and put it iin someone else's. I thnk of that too. Then I see her lol I am slowing down though. Mostly because I can never get enough for them when I resell them. And let me tell you, I am anal. My bag are kept pristine.
Love this video! I’m sooo with you. Planning on minimizing my collection this year. Have about 24 bags and not sure how I got there. Grateful but seriously…. I got carried away with FOMO. Today just sold my beautiful mini square and felt like I dropped 10 pds. When I first got it, I love it so much but I never grabbed for it. Too expensive to just look pretty in the closet. You’re the best!
Love that you said you're feeling "grateful" and not "guilty" -- that's so important! We can be totally grateful and still cut back (it's not about making ourselves feel bad). It shouldn't be a negative experience, as you said, you felt lighter when you sold your mini. Love that! xx
I definitely hear you on the last two videos, I thought once I got my Chanel jumbo single flap in black caviar I would never want for another bag WRONG! I do Love, Love that bag , BUT I find myself still wanting more….👜
I think for many of us, that's how it starts -- with "just one." Nothing wrong with having more than one. We just need to find the right balance for ourselves - and that's going to look different for each person. xx
I love the new ideas! I feel like many of us in this luxury community don’t restrict ourselves to solely luxury brands. I’m sure many of us purchase MK, Coach and such. I’ve grown tired of the price increase game, especially considering the drop in quality.
I can’t wait for more content next year. I purchased my first mulberry bag (darley satchel) this year and was very impressed by the craftsmanship. The stitching, leather quality were amazing as well for under 1k price range. I’d love to know if you like any mulberry bags! They’re low key, but still beautiful designer pieces. I’d also love to see more realistic mindset videos and how you keep your bugs low. Xoxo thanks again 💕💕
Yay! I've been interested in learning more about Mulberry ever since a bunch of you recommended I check out the brand. I actually feature them in my upcoming video!! Hope you'll watch. xx
@@hellocatwalkcity It's a great brand and the quality is beautiful. I saw their pieces in person in the London airport, but I ended up getting a cardholder on the plane because it was an exclusive color.
I’ve never seen your channel but this was fantastic! I’ve recently sold off all but my one 15yr old Chanel re-issue and I second all the reasons you’ve listed here! I’m really very disappointed in all of these design houses that have been so greedy especially during this pandemic and it’s really made me consider ever giving any of them my money. I am a huge fan of the secondhand market and have been for years! It’s so sustainable and there are so many beautiful things and so easy to sell when you’re ready. I like Eileen on the channel “colorful noir” and she has a minimalist idea of luxury. You’ve probably seen her. Thanks for your time and sharing💖✌️🙏
I love your humility, Recognizing that ppl drool 🤤 over the idea of having just one. yet you’re grateful to have as many as you do or even if u were to rest at one, You’d be just as happy! You’re blessed and I like how your mind works… Can’t wait til i have mine one sweet day soon🥳💜💃🏾 Thank you for a authentic & thoughtful video
This and the last video on no waitlist are the best of your videos I had watched. Love that you are not talking minimalist, or buying for passing on to your beautiful daughter. A lot of inspirations.
Thank you. I've moved on from the delusions of telling myself that I'm a minimalist or that I'm buying these for my daughter - lol! Hard truth -- these are for me, simply because I think they're pretty and fun to wear. If I don't get to enjoy all of them, why add more, is where I'm at. xx
The Chanel increase is disappointing. The frequency of it is disappointing. I'm only just now starting to be able to buy fun extras but they're becoming out of reach too quickly!
Tbh I’ve got a few bags from Guess and Kurt Geiger and I think they’re just fine! I did want a Chanel (maybe one day) but their recent price hikes are disgraceful 😂
Totally agree with you. I have a very small collection of handbags but still feel not using each of them enough times to make up the $$$$ I pay. So when I am attempted to buy more bags, I think and rethink. Was going to buy Chanel last year but moved on because their dramatic price increases.
YES. "Its not about the money. Its about the worth." I got it handed to me when I said I can't afford Chanel anymore. My father who is a Dr said HE can't afford Chanel anymore. Its not about the money in the bank. Its about the value. I have a price point I stand by and if that means I die with 5 bags....then that mans I die with 5 bags.
Exactly! I collect a particular set of vintage china and because I have been doing it awhile now, I know what it's worth. I made an Ebay offer on some pieces just today at the price I KNOW they are worth...and bought some exact pieces within the past year at that price. He countered with an offer that was marginally less than what he had them listed for. (I figured he would. He has many patterns he's sitting on...every single one over-priced.) There comes a point when you think you'd want to recover your initial investment as a merchant and not maintain an enormous storage facility of merchandise that isn't moving.
Your voice is so soothing and love how you speak. I agree that you loose the excitement and it’s just not worth buying expensive things after a certain point. Thanks for sharing. I feel social media and society keeps telling us to keep buying buying buying. But that doesn’t mean we should.
Looking forward to seeing videos of smaller brands! I love supporting local brands...just feels more meaningful to me. :) In the meantime, thanks for sharing the phone case. I'm going on a bachelorette party to LV and this is PERFECT for the occasion!
I'm done with chanel too. I can afford to buy more but it's not reasonable to spend a lot of money just for a purse. I started YSL after buying 5 pcs and no place to go with this pandemic. I rather help some of my money to my friends and family who lost job.
I have about 20 luxury handbags and I think they are more than enough. I live a quiet life and I only dress up to go out a couple of times a month and when we travel to Europe once a year, which are the only times I get to wear my luxury handbags. Otherwise there’s no point in bringing a luxury handbag to a nearby supermarket. People like LVloverCC must have so much money that it’s like a duty to purchase luxury handbag after handbag…nice duty tho :)
I think a lot depends on where you are in your stage of life. I'm also in my 40s and have bought plenty of designer things over the years, so I have slowed down considerably on bags, SLGs, ready to wear, and shoes. The only area I ramped up was fine jewelry, but I'm almost at the end of that train too as I have bought enough by now (there are two things left on the wishlist and will really slow down after that). With Chanel, I had 7 bags at one point and sold 2, but I've been toying with the idea of selling 2 more. Why? Well, I just don't find myself using my Chanel bags as much. I also live in the Big Apple and it's just not that easy for me to use them. During the week, I need low-key bags that I can use to the ground, and during the weekend, I haven't been doing much due to Covid and the cold weather. I find I reach for my cheaper bags these days. And I agree with all of your points about quality and price increases. At some point, it's just not worth it. For me, 5 Chanel bags is more than enough.
Completely agree with this video. I started purchasing luxury handbags in 2020. It was something I always wanted and made a deal with myself that I could buy one with the money I made from selling my pre loved goods, clothes, accessories, decor, etc. I was THRILLED with my first bag. Continued doing the selling/saving plan and have acquired 4 luxury bags up to this point. I try to be intentional with my purchases, every bag serves a purpose, but I’m getting to a point where the thrill of it isn’t quite there and that’s made me hault my purchasing for a min. I used to dream of just owning one, and now I own 4! But like you said, I’m not 4X happier. So I think it’s time to pause.
Love how you made it such a fun and motivating process for yourself, but absolutely, the quantity of our items does not equate to our happiness! Thanks so much for sharing your experience.
Thank you for such a great video on your own thorough view and perspectives as I shared the same. Not many youtubers are daring enough to say this out loud as we are swallowing by the buying/ owning more and newest culture. New subbie here. Good luck on your future videos.
Love this video and this content. I like that you’re so honest and reflective about your journey. I would appreciate more of this content, keeps all of us in check!
I don't own any Chanel bag, however I own quite a few Louis Vuitton bags and I totally feel the same way. I am happy and satisfied with all the bags I owned atm. I dreamed owning at least 1 classic Chanel bag, but due to the crazy price increased, I'd probably just buy from other brands (when I am ready to add/buy another bag). Anyway, you do have a beautiful collection. You got a great variety of colors and different sizes.
I 'only' own a WoC from Chanel and I know I won't buy anything else from them and I'm totally happy with that. I'd love to know how often you use your bags and for what occasions. I literally only use my WoC on City breaks/holidays cus I'd feel way too 'showy' in my small town 🙄
I use my WOC and caramel mini for everyday - school pickups, errands, casual. They're small and compact so I don't feel that they're too flashy, but it depends on where I am in the city. I do however have a problem wearing my Jumbo and even my medium classic flaps on a regular basis so they're usually reserved for when I'm going out or when I'm in a car! I think the WOC is so great because you can wear it casually or dressed up -- if you're going to have one Chanel, that's a winner.
Very insightful. This is one of the many reasons why I am a fan of your channel, you have this consciousness and self-control that many content creators doesn't have. You make is so easy for us to relate to you and understand your perspective through and through. I'm excited for the new contents to come, with your great new discoveries. Keep it up! ♥️
I enjoyed your video and it made me start to evaluate what i really need in my handbag collection. It would be great to see a video about your entire bag collection going into 2022.
I’m also very tired of being quality control for the companies I buy goods from. For how much we pay, it’s ridiculous to have to inspect these items. I want to be able to just enjoy my items and not stress if there are defects. It really sucks the joy out of getting something that’s supposed to make you excited and happy.
I enjoy and appreciate your thoughtfulness when it comes to spending. I too am fortunate enough to purchase many nice things but I find that if I splurge on one handbag and one special wallet, every time I use it brings me happiness. I also feel that is a good lesson to show my daughters that it is ok to treat yourself and enjoy your hard work, but within moderation because more doesn’t necessarily make you happier. I love your channel and I’m excited to see more content about thoughtful spending in 2022 💗
Love the phone case, I had purchased a “boy” inspired one years ago and would wear it around the house because i usually wear clothes that have pockets. It was so useful. I am hoping to stick to my plan for this year and definitely buy less and to make use more of what I have. I am going to need to use some pointers from Marie Kondo again to help me declutter my luxury purchases. I am going to dump all my costume jewelry to begin with and go from there… I managed to take out 18 pieces last month! Like always, love the content and how it really speaks to me! ♥️
Few yrs ago, I bought my first Chanel WOC in caviar and gold hardware. Then I bought a long wallet and a small card holder. My income increased now and hoping to get an actual Chanel bag and I can’t justify the price. Plus, it seems like so many bags are out of stock or reserved for top tier clients. I don’t like to chase and beg to buy a bag. There are other brands with good quality bags and I really don’t need a dozen designer bags. I buy each bag to celebrate a milestone. So thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@@hellocatwalkcity and it is sad how some SAs treat their customers poorly like dangling a piece of carrot in front of them when it comes to selling popular items. If I know I am spending a hefty amount on something or even a small amount on anything, I deserve to be treated with respect too. I know some ppl’s dream bag is Hermès but hearing ppl cry in stores in Paris after hours of waiting for a bag or ppl spending a crazy amount on random things to be qualified to buy a bag just seems absurd to me. All too stressful.
I love your perspective in life, you are blessed with abundance! There is no need for more. I love your beige with Chanel logo. I would love to have few basics Chanel - beige and black. Bit late to the party, now its really getting very expensive!
Your last two videos were real and truthful, and honestly very humble. It's all about balance and having gratitude for what you have, keeping that "abundance" mindset. Please keep sharing your journeys --- although would love to see more of your Hermes. Happy New Year to you!
Love this video. I’m at the point in my life where I want to appreciate everything in my life. I realized when I have too many things I lose appreciation of them by stop wearing them and then forgetting about them. I have a lot of stuff now and most no longer make me happy.
I was spending so much money online shopping in Covid! I bought my first LV handbag a year ago and I got addicted and bought a few other slg’s and a Gucci super mini. Then, I had the opportunity to go on my first vacation in 10 years a month ago, and I really had so much clarity up in the sky on the airplane that online shopping is such a waste of my time. The researching, reading, finding…it’s exhaustingI would rather add to the value of my life by reading a book, studying harder in school or saving for my next vacation (Hopefully sooner!) I’ve got my one neverfull gm that makes me very happy and most people would die to own that bag. We’re still in lockdown here in Toronto and while there isn’t much to do, I can save money and work on my fitness and eating goals. It’s not that I’ll never buy another bag ever…I have my eye on a speedy 30, but I would like the best of both worlds. I always come back from travelling a changed person. I love your channel, the content you put out and your voice! Thank you! ❤️ 🙏🏻 PS: Would you ever consider doing a video on how you store or display your items in an nyc apartment?
I love this! I am sooo inspired by you! I needed this, esp as I am being tempted by 22p!!! I am ordering that phone holder and lol, I was just about to order two other colors. But I’m going to stop and stick to one!! Thank you for sharing!!
22p is temping but we can admire it all from afar! I looked at the collection again last night and I was thinking, ohh, how cute, how pretty for some of the pieces and then immediately thought, don't need it though! As for the phone holder, one is enough!! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! xx
@@hellocatwalkcity I broke down and ordered the irredescent navy WOC. 🤦🏻♀️ I couldn’t resist that Tahitian Pearl like sheen. I don’t have a WOC in my collection, so justified the purchase. Praying I stop the madness!! 🙏😬
@@jmah9766 🤣 Enjoy it!! The point is NOT to make ourselves feel guilty or bad about our purchases. The point is to enjoy them and be happy with what we have!!!! 😉
I appreciate your point of view and honesty! I made my first luxury purchase last September (LV Felicie) and then a month later I got the pochette metis and pochette accessoires. For christmas i bought my mom a chanel woc. With 4 luxury purchases in such a short time, i feel i need to now enjoy what i have (and enjoy what others have by watching youtube videos like yours).
New here! I appreciate your honesty; it’s refreshing. I haven’t purchased any Chanel yet, but if I do, I’m pretty sure it will be be vintage. My mom hasn’t had any issues with hers, thankfully, but she bought it probably 8 years ago so the quality was undoubtedly better (as was the price!) P.S. Your voice is so soothing! 🥺☺️
Beautiful Chanel collection 😍😍 especially, your 2 black classic flaps & caramel mini, love them! I also watched your previous video about your motherhood, investment & handbags story and I totally relate because my journey has been similar 💕 Love my current Chanel & LV bags and I feel satisfied for now. My purpose for this year is enjoying using what I own already and also continue the declutter/3R process in my home ☺️☺️
I appreciate your comments. They are well-thought-out and articulate. I don't own a Chanel...yet...and when I do finally make the plunge, it will be only one and it will be vintage. (I think it will be a jumbo classic flap. I'm 5'11" and that would fit my frame.) I collect vintage handbags. I have an assortment, which includes a couple of Bally clutches (one in lambskin which I adore!), one Louis Vuitton (a St Jacques in Borneo green epi leather with one discreet LV stamped into the leather) one Coach with a '60's logo, and many no-name bags that might have been higher end in their day. I even have a few "project bags"...like a Gucci canvas that the canvas was craised and cracked. I intend to add leather fringing around it because it's not suitable for wear as-is. However, when done, it will be a unique work of art. I decidedly agree that I cannot cave to consumerism and pay exorbitant prices for a status symbol. That only serves the companies. When their profit margins drop, they will learn they cannot continue and remain viable.
Sounds like a Jumbo would suit you nicely given your height! I’ve always wanted to work on a “project bag” as you stated. It sounds fun. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I am a new subscriber and I really liked this video. Sometimes with social media and seeing so much excess, I end wanting just about every cute thing that I see! I like the direction that you’re taking your channel by focusing on more local brands in addition to items that are more affordable/accessible. Also, thanks for sharing the link for the iPhone case with chain, so cute!
Thank you for subscribing! I adore this community and I hope you'll stick around for more of my videos. Social media churns out beautiful images and temptation all day, but I've realized that we can admire many beautiful things without having to own them! xx
Such a great video.Your advice is always so realistic and wise. Also agree how many bags can we really use.Love luxury, but sometimes less is more. You have a lovely collection💕💕
Love your perspective I just purchased my first Chanel bag preloved from Tradesy. I’m very satisfied with my bag however I find myself feeling like I need another one. You are so right just because you can afford it doesn’t mean you need it.
TFS Hannah. I’m actually excited for your new content and more other affordable finds. Thx for being a better influence for me at the start of this year. I have 6 luxury bags all purchased in about 1 year span 😳, now I need to Take a chill pill and enjoy each of them ! Take good care
I'm with you on this journey 🤗 I have huge financial goals this year and I need to be laser focused. I have a decent bag collection and feel very fortunate enough to have them. This year, I will appreciate and enjoy what I currently have since I added a few bags to my collection last year that I have not even used yet🙈 Thanks for sharing💞
I really enjoyed this video! I just got into luxury last year. I have 4 LV items now and I feel like I can be content. I can admire Chanel but no way would I pay $8000 for a bag… that’s like half of a used car 😂 Also I’m trying to save for a house so I think I’m good with my LV collection! Looking forward to you exploring other brands.
Your voice is so soothing & pleasant to listen to, agree with all your points! I only have one Classic Small Flap (black caviar), got it in 2021 spring, was really lucky there's no defects. And one O'case in navy, that's about it. Been wanting to get a beige or cream colour mini, but so frustrated that they are never in stock at the store, but you find them at resellers one week after the launch, selling at $500 above retail price! I think it is ridiculous and gave up looking for one, like u said, it is about the value and how much it is worth to me. Not gonna spend above 5k on a mini. cos we can get two very nice bags in other brands like Celine or LV.
I think YSL is under-rated and makes great bags that are more affordable than Chanel. Tory Burch also makes great bags if you’re open to contemporary brands. You might enjoy this video on designer alternatives - ruclips.net/video/eGZU0kxwZsA/видео.html
I got my hands on a vintage medium double flap with 24k gold 🤩 for a great price right when the pandemic hit and we were all home. It was a anxious purchase for being locked up and people were freaking out selling so I got lucky. I’m pretty content with it. So happy I got that VS a new one that’s not made well anymore. And YES when do we really even have the time to wear so many. I hardly wear that one and my LV’s because of the crime rate in Houston. Not worth getting jacked.
This was amazing ❤️ And I couldn’t agree more. It’s the first vid of yours I’m ever seeing, and am about to subscribe now 🤩 Thank you for this heartfelt vid.
Oh would you share on how to buy vintage Chanel bags or any other bags online/boutiques? And recommended websites to buy Vintage. I am in Asia, unsure if its relevant! Merci beaucoup.
Such a great video!! I'm at the same mindset...its not about affordability but it's worth. I'm over Chanel..I feel it's so overpriced for what it is/becoming.
Exactly!!! It's not about affordability. I want to make that clear because sometimes people believe if you can afford it, why not - and that's where the slippery slope happens. Thanks for watching! xx
I love this video. I have gotten to where you are as well. There is very little that I want past what I have. When I lol back I think I was just influenced now I am more focused
Great video, diminishing idea. I love your Chanel collection and your vintage Chanel. After these years, do you still prefer red classic flap. I'm thinking to get a red CF long time but not sure if I will use it often or just store and looking at it
Glad you enjoyed the video. I actually let go of my red classic flap. I realized that red is just not my color, at least not for bags. As you can see, I’m more of a neutrals gal. If you’re a fan of red bags, it’s quite beautiful.
city This is why I hesitate, I bought a red card holder but no use very often. So after if get a red mini I am afraid not match my outfit. But red colour is very attractive and tempting.
I'm human. LOL. But, 3 months ago I was tempted to buy a small classic flap and resisted. I even talked about it in a video at that time. So technically, I've been on a good streak for at least 3 months! Woohoo~
I had to return my CF because of the scratches on the hardware. They tried to tell me it’s normal (?!) but I wanted a perfect one for the price. And they can only exchange so if they don’t have anything you like, you’f end up choosing something less you are excited about… I totally agree with what you’re saying and appreciate your thoughts!
So well said. Your mentality around abundance is so spot on. Also how many bags can we own before they are just sitting there. I myself have taken a step back and want to be more intentional with my collection and purchases. Can’t wait to see your new content around up and coming brands
I can afford the price increases without a doubt or question but at a certain point enough is enough. Another question i ask when i purchase is will i actually get use out of these bags. If they just sit around and collect dust it will becomes a complete waste of money. I own 1 Chanel and I’m considering another but being cautious of what i want to buy i am leaning towards a 19 mainly. I own ysl Gucci Louis vouitton. Most of my collection is LV. I dont consider what others are buying i just buy what i like and what i know works for me. If i gave any advice to anyone dont get caught up in the hype of things and get what you like and works for you
I was surprised my devauille bag ends up as one of my fav bags. Its so basic looking but its so well used n easy to use. I had a vintage black mf but i didnt reach out to it as much as i like. I sold it in the end. Surprisingly, i dont miss it as much as i thought i would. I find mfs pretty to admire from the side but dont find it neccessary to own it n hog it just because its a classic piece. Buy n keep whatever piece one likes, no need care whether it follows the general public understanding of classic designs. Dont like, dont hog, dont keep.
I look forward to your future videos…. I’ve always loved purses… no matter what the name was and I feel like lately I’ve just been designer, designer, designer…like I want to get back into loving purses… not just for the brands…. for the beauty of purses …different shapes, sizes and materials 💖👜👛
I am so excited to see what you share with us in 2022! It sounds like we are on similar journeys (in terms of what we choose to spend our money on) so I can't wait to see what you have in store.
Aw thank you for seeing that! I'm a handbag enthusiast -- the brand is secondary.
Exactly!!!
Absolutley!
Love this!
OMG! I love your content so much! Also, you are very articulate and have a beautiful voice!
Thank you so much Jaqueline!
💯 and by the way, your goodie should be arriving soon!! Congrats again! 🎉
Oh my goodness, I talk about Rebecca Minkoff and one of their new bags in an upcoming video!!
Please share the RUclipsr
Such a great point. The excitement is definitely hampered when you have to deal with the quality problems.
Good for you! Abundance mindset with gratitude is the best weapon against FOMO!! xx
....and put it iin someone else's.
Resting in contentment is important it is a show of gratitude for all we have , but abuse of abundance it's wasteful.
Great commentary thank you.
Absolutely! xx
Mulberry is so underrated imo. I have a cardholder and it's still in perfect condition.
@nueah I love Mulberry too. Own 3 bags from this brand. Love them to bits. Recently went to check out their collection and love the mini Bayswater. ❤
Hi Theresa. I like Eileen too. 🙌
It’s true! One is more than enough and I’d be just as happy! Thank you so much for your kind words.
If I don't get to enjoy all of them, why add more, is where I'm at. xx
@@hellocatwalkcity Well put. Sometimes too much is simply too much, enough is enough. Happy for you.
The Chanel increase is disappointing. The frequency of it is disappointing. I'm only just now starting to be able to buy fun extras but they're becoming out of reach too quickly!
No RUclips video has resonated with me like this one because I share your sentiments about luxury. You have the right perspective. Fantastic video!
I appreciate that!
Thank you so much! The world tells us one thing, but our heart may tell us another. 😉
Looking forward to seeing videos of smaller brands! I love supporting local brands...just feels more meaningful to me. :) In the meantime, thanks for sharing the phone case. I'm going on a bachelorette party to LV and this is PERFECT for the occasion!
Aw perfect! Have a great time in Vegas!
I LOVE the “shopping journey” content idea!!! This is so interisting! As i see myself lately more conscious with my shopping habits.
I had to rewatch, thank you so much for making this video. I think I’m ready to let go of some of my handbags!
Amazing!! Good luck!
I decided at the end of last year not to buy any more handbags and a lot of other items this year for a lot of the same reasons, totally agree 👏🏻
Good for you! I hope you enjoy the process!!
I appreciate your videos and the direction you're going. it's extremely helpful and highly valuable.
Thank you for such a great video on your own thorough view and perspectives as I shared the same. Not many youtubers are daring enough to say this out loud as we are swallowing by the buying/ owning more and newest culture. New subbie here. Good luck on your future videos.
Thank you for subscribing! I’m so glad the video resonated with you. Hope to share more of my thoughts in upcoming videos.
Love this video and this content. I like that you’re so honest and reflective about your journey. I would appreciate more of this content, keeps all of us in check!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for your kind words.
Keep it up! ♥️
This means a lot, thank you!!
I love your channel and I’m excited to see more content about thoughtful spending in 2022 💗
💯 yes to sending a balanced message to our daughters! 💕
Chasing and begging for a Chanel bag, let alone any material item is no fun - I agree with you!
Fantastic video! Great mindset! I am looking forward to your videos this upcoming year!
Thank you!!
Your last two videos were real and truthful, and honestly very humble. It's all about balance and having gratitude for what you have, keeping that "abundance" mindset. Please keep sharing your journeys --- although would love to see more of your Hermes. Happy New Year to you!
YESSS to experiences!!!
The clutch is amazing!
Thank you! ❤️ 🙏🏻
PS: Would you ever consider doing a video on how you store or display your items in an nyc apartment?
Hands down to this video Hanna love your content very informative thank you so much for sharing
Thank you so much! You're always so supportive. xx
They're all beautiful but the caramel-colored one is my favorite!!!! 😍💖😃
Aww lovely that you bought your mom a Chanel woc! 💕
What’s your middle to the right bag of your bag called? I can’t find it but I love its aesthetic
You have a beautiful collection ❤️ I think it’s complete so your satisfied and content. Wise words x thank you
New here! I appreciate your honesty; it’s refreshing. I haven’t purchased any Chanel yet, but if I do, I’m pretty sure it will be be vintage. My mom hasn’t had any issues with hers, thankfully, but she bought it probably 8 years ago so the quality was undoubtedly better (as was the price!)
P.S. Your voice is so soothing! 🥺☺️
Hi! Welcome!! Vintage Chanel is so special! That’s the way to go. 😉
I love the way you talk about this. I always feel like I want more so it’s refreshing to hear this.
Feeling satisfied is such a great place to be! Enjoy!
I appreciate your comments. They are well-thought-out and articulate.
I don't own a Chanel...yet...and when I do finally make the plunge, it will be only one and it will be vintage. (I think it will be a jumbo classic flap. I'm 5'11" and that would fit my frame.)
I collect vintage handbags.
Thank you! I agree, sometimes less is more.
Hey where can I find the iPhone phone holder cover bag thingy hehe
I think a price is a huge factor for me getting turned off by Chanel. I have three handbags and I am done. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Taking a chill pill with you!! xx
Good luck with your financial goals! That's so exciting.
The law of diminishing returns is so true and less is more! Wise words hun! 🥰😍👍
I needed to hear this! Been really stuck on wanting to hold onto items but never actually using them
Your voice is so soothing & pleasant to listen to, agree with all your points!
Love your collection hun!! You have a very classic collection and lovely colours! I am hoping to start a Chanel collection so this video is useful. 🥰😍
This was really insightful, would u have any reccomendations on affordable designer bags (WOC/cross body). Thank you
I think YSL is under-rated and makes great bags that are more affordable than Chanel. Tory Burch also makes great bags if you’re open to contemporary brands. You might enjoy this video on designer alternatives -

Thanks for watching! xx
I feel you 100%. I'm looking more into fendi and dior now.
Maybe try a red bag from a less expensive brand and see how it goes? Trial run!
I love that you’ll introduce us to different brands. P.s I love coach!!!!!
Yay!!!
Thank you! New here I am excited to see the journey of having a more balanced collection
i feel like you have this realization every 3 months, very relatable tho lmao
I'm human. LOL. But, 3 months ago I was tempted to buy a small classic flap and resisted. I even talked about it in a video at that time. So technically, I've been on a good streak for at least 3 months! Woohoo~
That tweed pouch is divine. Enjoyed this video a lot.
Scratches on the hardware when it’s brand new? 🤦🏻♀️
Love seeing your collection. My heart has always longed for a classic flap.
Excited to see your alternatives bags! Recently I been back looking at coach again!
I'm excited too! I really want to go back to exploring other brands. Please stay tuned -- next video is all about this! xx
So well said. Your mentality around abundance is so spot on. Also how many bags can we own before they are just sitting there. I myself have taken a step back and want to be more intentional with my collection and purchases. Can’t wait to see your new content around up and coming brands
Glad the abundance mindset resonated with you! xx
If i gave any advice to anyone dont get caught up in the hype of things and get what you like and works for you
I would love one classic flap, however, when I am able to buy the medium will be $12,000! Just can’t justify. 🥺
Where is the red one?
Right. I thought there was a red lambskin CF. Maybe she parted with it and we missed the update.
She sold it in an update last year I believe.
Love this video and subscribed!
Thank you!
I look forward to your future videos…. I’ve always loved purses… no matter what the name was and I feel like lately I’ve just been designer, designer, designer…like I want to get back into loving purses… not just for the brands…. for the beauty of purses …different shapes, sizes and materials 💖👜👛
"For the beauty of purses" - YESSS!
First time watching 👀 you. I have enjoyed this vlog.
I am so excited to see what you share with us in 2022! It sounds like we are on similar journeys (in terms of what we choose to spend our money on) so I can't wait to see what you have in store.
