Discussing each archetype in detail is such a gift! One request: To discuss BOTH the most harmonious choices (fabrics, colors, silohuettes, details, accessories, hair, makeup, etc.), AND the typical "opposite" and how to dress for it. For example, casual or editorial looks for SD/R/TR/etc., "serious" looks for G/FG/SG/I, office looks for N/SN/FN, relaxed looks for C/SC/DC, red carpet/party looks for D/DC, etc.

You are right in your suggestion that it is difficult to put yourself out there for analysis....at the age of 74 I am hesitant. I have to tell you that age does not dim the desire to discover your best self. I believe that sharing your personal journey would help each of us be a little braver in that regard. Linda, I was just talking with a client about this exact topic (discovery of self no matter your age). I have to admit, I was somewhat taken aback when I had more mature women book with me. I suppose that I assumed that she was an indicator of “having it all figured out”, but I was sorely mistaken. I discovered that we all transition into new seasons of our life and our wardrobe is a part of the change. So, I whole heartedly agree, you’re never to old to discover and express you authentic beauty 💖

I definitely prefer it when creators stick to only one channel, regardless of variety in content, topics and so on. I feel it gets confusing and inauthentic when people have several different channels. It's easier to find the person when there is only one place to go, and it would still be able to keep things tidy with tools like different playlists for different topics/series. I love your content, you are such an inspiration!

I think having your personal stuff on here would be great! I'm always concerned about creators mental health and I think videos like that might be easier things to film that make you and your audience happy that you can fill your upload schedule with when your energy feels like it's in a valley.

Personally I think I would be great a cohesive to share your personal style on this channel. That was kind of the basis from the beginning sharing not only your personal style journey but different aesthetic as well. So keeping everything all on one channel would be good!

I would love to hear designers speak about where fashion might be headed, what effect slow fashion might have on the industry, and how we can make better use of the items within our closets without losing the joy of shopping! Dan Levy would be my first invitation for a guest, of course. How DID he get interested in clothes???

It's kind of a scary thing to say in 2020, but I like how bright the future is looking here. I can see me adding this channel to the list of my favourite yt channels of all time, really looking forward to it! I think your personal style journey should go on this channel because I feel like when you talk about the technicalities of styling and archetypes, while it is super fun and informative, makes me feel a little lost when it comes to the application of it? So having you speak about your own journey will really be of help there.

What I like about your videos is to here your oppinion about things and what inspires you and what you're passionate about. Even if I don't have the same taste of everything it's still amazing to hear. I always liked the quote "She was beautiful in that kind of way that made you not wanna look like her but more like yourself". And I think that goes hand in hand with kibbe and personal style journeys. So I think you should do whatever you are inspired of doing. You are amazing! 🙂

I would love a second channel dedicated to your style journey because if you keep these channels separate one may be more about design & educational. While the new chanel may be more personal & about you so you are able to focus on having 2 well organized & relevant channels. This way you wouldn't be conflicted as to what you want to post personal or style adive!

As long as Meg Ryan’s character from “you’ve got Mail” is somewhere up at the top!!!! This is also a great direction because most women cannot mirror celebrities based on expensive , red carpet looks.....not even celebrities look like this in their off time( nor do they care). I’m always fascinated by how costume designers bring a character to life in a unique way but in a natural setting. Much easier guidance to follow for sure! Great choices!!!!

Teach me. I am a sponge for your information. My feelings about this channel and content relating to your aesthetic is that it belongs here. I look forward to learning more about you and your aesthetic. Growing up, I didn't even know this was a thing. I thought I was weird because I felt the need to have everything around me beautiful. My clothes, makeup, the scent I would wear. It extended outward to my decor and music or pleasing sounds. I would even use someone's middle name or a nickname that was more appealing to me. Finally I've found my community.

I do still want to do aesthetic breakdowns, but those will likely pick back up after I get out the Archetype series. Between client services and producing long form, well-planned content I had to prioritize which content should come first. But aesthetic breakdowns and relating them back to the archetypes will always be a part of this channel ✨

Love your new "studio" Elyssa - lovely colour, soft lighting, it is you :) I think keeping all your videos on one channel is my preference - you can simply call them vlogs or journal entries, or "What I'm Loving This Month" which could be a compilation of cosmetics, skin care, style, movies etc. Speaking of costume design! What a brilliant idea :) I've been loving the Queen's Gambit and of course my favourite is Phreny (the Australian Miss Fisher series) I couldn't agree more that costume designers deserve so much more recognition! Their work are often what elevates that character to the level of "essence" :) I love all your work Elyssa - whatever you choose to produce, I'm a die-hard fan!

So excited for the videos! I've been loving your longer videos, I just love having a cup of tea and learning new stuff from you. You can really tell how much you put time, effort and research to those videos. Plus your voice is also so pleasant to listen! I bet this channel will blossom next year when new people find you :) It has already grown so much since I started following you.
I just started finding this type of content, and love your approach that acknowledges all the trademarked typing systems, but approaches style analyses in a wholistic, integrated way, still using concrete language without creating limitations or prioritizing one aspect of style over another. I never would have thought guidance on style would be something I would consider paying a professional for, but your approach has made me consider it! I hope your pregnancy is going smoothly and healthfully for you and your family, and am looking forward to seeing you continue your channel in the future when you settle into parenthood. I love the idea here about more analysis videos for character wardrobe; you are too right about costume designers and I never made the connection between the “personal style” philosophies and what they do (my sister is a theatrical costume pro and has a film costume podcast! I would definitely send her those videos, especially Moira Rose since she loves Schitt’s Creek and the costuming there).

I know she’s somewhat of a caricature for comedic effect (which Catherine O’Hara just nails!) but I also appreciate seeing a beautiful, mature woman who is not your typical kind of maternal mother.
