Seems to me Landr is the best. Unlimited uploads no annual fee…SoundCloud revenue…low Transaction fees (especially if you blow up) and never takes your music down. CDbaby is good Too they just take so much from the pay
Man my brother....... You are such a big help. I've been in the music biz 25 years plus but I was done for the last 5 years until my son started rapping and now I'm back and everything is different now lol I'm definitely learning from your videos bruh because I swear I feel like a dinosaur at times and my son depends on my knowledge and business relationships to help him make it to the next level. Thanks again bruh
@@precisionsoundworksstudio It's great. I created a service where artists subscribe to a Master Google Drive for $10/month where I have all of my thoughts. It allows me the freedom to share information without concern for algorithms and how many views a video will get. Really liberating.
Bro you really the goat for this shit you be dropping on us. I’m definitely switching to Ditto. Tunecore’s fees will eat you if you release a lot of music
Could you please make the exact same video but an updated version for 2023 please!!? Thank you for all your hard work I really appreciate your videos and work
So since I'm an artiste new to the distribution thing and I want to experiment to see what works best, it's best I choose Ditto since it's unlimited uploads for $20 per year. So let's say I have a couple songs blowing up on Ditto, could I move those songs to Tunecore and gain features such as advances and lower transactions fees for those songs?
L a n d r started to "borrow" beats if they like your ideas made with their Creator Tool. When you use that tool they know everything you did there and since is samples mix - they also can use it, even if is the same mix.
Thanks for the info. As a new artist it seems like Tunecore is a no brainer unless you're releasing 2-4 times a month plus EP's or albums then Landr seems like the best bet.
I feel like landr is the best, I’m still in high school and I don’t like the idea of them taking it down if I can’t afford it at the time, especially since once again I’m in high school and money doesn’t grow on trees. For my situation would you agree or no?
That's only for American Distributors Like tunecore etc since landr is based in Canada they don't ask for W9 or W8 all you need to get paid is pay pal and ur bank account and ur net worth will show up there
Thank you PUNM for the breakdown. This is super helpful. Question though because it seems like your leaning towards Tunecore but 20% of the revenue its a pretty large hit. Looking at the rest of the matrix, it doesn't make sense for me to choose Tunecore over either of the other two. I know your an affiliate of both TuneCore and Landr, but if you were not an affiliate of either and you didn't care about advances, would you still choose Tunecore? Thanks again. Be Bless Bro!
Peace. Well, I'm not just an Affiliate of those two. I'm also an Affiliate of Ditto, Distrokid, Onerpm, and Amuse. I'm an affiliate of any company I discuss that has an Affiliate program. If money from an affiliate program was my motivation, I'd be doing a hundred videos about Distrokid. Anyway, Tunecore only takes 20% of RUclips revenue, you keep 100% of revenue from everywhere else. At the end of the day, I recommend the companies I feel are the best, period.
@@Payusnomind Ahh, I think I missed the 20% only impacted RUclips Revenue from your video. That does make a difference. Again thanks for all of the helpful info. BTW, I have no issues with affiliate programs at all, I have just seen some videos where the narrative is geared toward a specific affiliate instead who they actually use. (for whatever reason) Again, good stuff my man.
Can you see the advantages of using more then one platform or do you believe it makes no sense because I was thinking why not take advantage of let's say tunecore and ditto for what they both have to offer
You'll be splitting your income from your catalogue too many ways as opposed to picking one and sticking to it. If you're not getting millions of plays, multiple distributors is useless. Quality over quantity
I believe you. I also believe the people that say it's great. Everybody goes by their personal experience and every distributor has artists that had horrible experiences. With doing these reviews since 2012, I've seen people say every distributor is the worst. If you go through the comments on the videos, you'll see it, I kid you not. It's wild.

Thanks for the great research man!
Just bought your Guide To Digital Distribution. Nice work, man! VEEEERRRYYYY well written. Totally worth the 14 bucks! 🙌🏻
Thank you. Sent you an email with a link to a Google Drive folder because I switched from the PDFs to the Drive. Hope you got it.
@@Payusnomind I'm loving the Google link... better than a PDF. I would imagine it makes it light years easier for you to update as well.

Great job on the video! I might look into one of these!

Thanks for all this hard work. Very helpful. You are a good communicator and I like your voice. Sounds a little like Denzel Washington.
Great video. Thank you.
Great content. ❤️ from London 🇬🇧
I heard Landr has a built-in mastering feature too
Could you please make the exact same video but an updated version for 2023 please!!? Thank you for all your hard work I really appreciate your videos and work
good video dude, thanks for doing this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great content as always. I'm looking to experiment with Landr. Do you know if they register with SoundExchange?
Peace. They don’t, that’s not something for your distributor to do though.

Landr is based in Canada? I'm based in Canada as well. Sure would simplify things if I were to patch over to them. Hmmm.

I watch other videos on ditto that they have payment issue. Is it true?

Great timing with this video
Now Landr is another level
What is split pay
Im going to use Amuse Boost or Ditto. Any recommendations.
best video ma G. Thanks
Your LANDR code doesn't work for some reason... Can you check with them?
Spoke to Landr, it should be good now.

That's only for American Distributors
