For anyone thinking about which distributor to go with, I'm going to try Landr. Was about to go with Ditto until I saw a RUclipsr say they will take down your music if you get too many streams at once, which can happen to any independent artist with a good marketing campaign. Also, I don't like how Ditto "may" take down your uploads if you stop the subscription. However, you still have your ISRC's that hold your data and such. Also heard they have really bad customer support. Going with Landr for now and will try Emu Bands and possibly Amuse as backups. United Masters has some major flaws and One RPM takes 15%, like the other subscriptions (Distrokid, Cd Baby, etc...). Tunecore doesn't have artist splits yet :/ and they take 20% content ID and social media revenue.
My understanding is that if you cancel your Landr subscription, Landr will remove all of your music from all the digital stores. I don't understand why an artist would go for that. CD Baby is a one time fee for distribution and it stays out there for good. Please chime in if you think I am missing something. I am wondering if I can subscribe to the basic yearly Landr plan just to get the 6 free wav file masters, but then distribute them through cd baby and just not use Landr's distribution.
Why? Because they take nothing from your royalties. They are cheaper and more sustainable and work very well until you make enough money to distribute it permanently.
This is not true even 2 years ago. Landr downgrades you to a lower tier where they'll take 15% of your royalties. But they will keep it up even if you don't pay.
I am very impressed with Landr so far & I released my debut single "If You Want To Party" using LANDR. Man Truth is.......Nothing matters if you don't have a Passion. #Peace
is it possible to use this distribution but mastering my tracks elsewhere? I do my own masters and for the first releases I have it all already mastered.
Do you think there are benefits as an artist on a budget to master and distribute though LANDR? Right now im mastering through LANDR and distributing through Distro Kid.
Please watch out with these guys, i've been releasing with them now for a year and it the beginning it was good but now it has gone south completely. NO customer support at all, they do NOT answer your questions or requests. "1-3 business days" for your release to be reviewed can turn up to 10+ days, look them up on trustpilot if you still consider them...
@@Dr24752 Yeah man i'm afraid their service wont get any better, i've switched to Distrokid now and very happy! If i send it out today it will be on Spotify tomorrow most of the time so major difference to LANDR
@DÈVE Its probably an issue with the quality of our songs indeed, gladly distrokid seems to disagree and respond within 24 hours, and push your music to streaming platforms the same day. Oh and its cheaper
Always feels to me that results are identical to ozone 8. And this gives you more control when you're done with the automation. Being billed yearly seems strange when you'd consider new starters is their main demographic. They seem to be adding features though and music distribution is a nice bonus along with direct output
The mastering is ok its just the customer service that is really lame .. They take about a month to get back to you when your trying to release something i think its just some kid in a shed ..
KYLOCOVI• no I'm not mad about them pausing the songs at all. I was just stating it that's all. I been with Landr for over a month and I enjoy my experience so far. After my free trial was over they pause my releases but when I made a monthly payment they unpaused them.

How’s it treated you ?
Why do people feel compelled to ALWAYS compare LANDR to a professional mastering engineer??
I just watched a guy compare it to a Grammy-winning professional. Ridiculous.
I concur
It's the way of thinking that people have been on for some time. They want auto everything

Landr does not have a free plan, they offer free previews.
If i distribute my songs through LANDR, will my songs IP rights also be registered automatically? or do i have to do that separately?

It was a bit misleading what he said in the video. You can choose monthly too - It's just that their cheapest plan is when you choose yearly.
is there anyway i can send you a private message? : /

Buddy like you on landr? everyone is satisfied?
Do they distribute to instagram music?
No...
I've been doing a lot of research and the answer seems to be yes, at least now... idk why someone commented no
Do these distributors look to keep you signed to their services, or can you stop your distribution and go to another when ever.
AJ Crook with Landr you can stop anytime and go else where. The songs that you release with them will be pause that's all.

LANDR IS TERRIBLE !!!! I Will make a really BAD BAD review
