Collaboration category makes me think of Area. Have you heard of it? might be something cool to mention in a future video. It made it very easy for me to share music, comment, add lyrics and stuff when I was working with others and I've only used the free version.
It is weird that I call it L and R?
Do you recommend Landr over CD baby, I have released my first track ever with CD baby Im still not sure to release my second track with Landr or continue with CD baby, and I saw there is an option in Landr if you release a single its a one time fee 9 USD same as CD baby no annual or monthly fee required but takes 15% royalities CD baby takes 9%. I would love to hear ur honest valuable opinion of which one is the better.
I am 15, how do I register my song. On BMI and ASCAP you have to be 18 and older, what is the best thing to do for my situation?
You’ll have to submit the “minor application” to affiliate while under 18
ik thius is late but how to promote your song?
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks for watching!
just 1 HUGE minus, LANDR only allow limit the release 30 tracks each month,
cannot release more than 30 which is prolly bout just 2 albums
Random Question:
If i were to hire a chick to sing lyrics to my songs, does she now own a portion of the recording/performance copyright for royalties?
Or when you use landr human mastering, do they get any claim to the master?
@@dudeskidude8376 no, pay them upfront have contract they are a work for hire. Do split sheets also. You own the masters. They still can’t get a small royalty. But you own the masters. Far as the lander ai getting anything I don’t know.
No mastering is work for hire and they don’t get any royalties
Hello! LANDR doesn't take any of your rights when you release or master your music with us. You’ll keep all ownership of your music before and after release I hope this helps!

Thank you!
I’ve been hearing nothing but good things about you guys (compared to others like tunecore) when browsing other youtube videos like Ryan’s.
It also cool to see that you guys are even in the comments answering questions.
I’m looking forward to using you guys as my distributor!
You and the performer would have to agree on whats gonna happen. Some could be cool to just take the fee and no royalties or they might ask for a %. It depends.
Can you do a video on everything you need to do from the time you write your song and put music to it.... then what?? Step by step please!
Are you asking step by step how to promote it? Or how to release it? Can you give me more specifics on what you need help with because I’m not sure what you mean!
@@IndieMusicAcademy thank you for the reply....
Ok I have wrote Tons of songs and they just sit in a room piled up. I play guitar and sing....but never done anything with them. Everyone tells me... do something with them, record them, etc... well... its just me, and no one else to go to, and I know nothing! My first BIG THING I just did was sign up with Landr , thanks for the 20% discount😃, and I did sign up on ASCAP as a writer and publisher... but now what? I dont know how to do fancy stuff...Ok lets just say I start watching videos how to add music while I sing and play guitar... does LANDR have a place to make all that happen? Or do I gotta buy a D.A.W and figure it out?so after that part, lets say I like how my song sounds? And Im ready to send it out to the World... what are the exact steps I need to do from the time I finish a song , to get it all the way to distribution?? I hear so many different things. Art covers, ISRCs, all kinds of stuff... whats the steps?
Thank you!
You should not be listing 1800 sample credits with the monthly price.
The best is Slate
Yeah their plugins are incredible 👌
@@IndieMusicAcademy my studio setup A is Protools HD 48in-48out Analog and my studio B setup is Slate Pro Audio 24 Track VSR8’s and DUAL RAVENS. Hands down Slate is the best. Their plugins outdo everyone’s.
I’m curious, you keep brining up covers regarding Landr…but I’ve always assumed you need permission to do a cover of a song. Am I wrong? Can you just do a cover without permission?
All you need to release cover is license on it, thats it. Thats how it works today.
