Thank you for being so diligent in the details for everything, it’s so easy watching your longer videos without being bored or confused!!! i’ve been watching so many of your videos and learning a ton! thanks so much ❤️
Thanks for the video, seems quite straight forward. As bedroom artist just starting out. I done lot of cover stuff last year as you can see from my youtube but plan to just do originals as they were just for fun and practice. Do you have any videos for just basic original release artists. Assume if not then it just same and skipping the license stuff? Certainly with the recent research initially coming into 2025 LANDR seems like a good place to start.
I'm watching this for the same reason and just saw at the end where he says that cover songs can't be distributed to RUclips or TikTok. So now I have even more questions and am more frustrated about the entire situation.
Thank you so much for this video. Do you happen to know how to credit "Traditional Music"? Two of the songs on a new album are traditionals. Some distribution platforms will need it to be filled out correctly, in order not to cause any issues.
Thank you so much for this video. Beyond credit and attribution, please how can I ensure that my producer gets royalty and/or co-publishing right without listing him as artist or songwriter.
Thank you for this video. Just submitted my first release through LANDR! Question though... Where do I set up/upload the artist bio, album bio, and artist profile banner photo that is at the top of an artist page on all the streaming services?
Hi! If I pay for an annual subscription on LANDR but decide not to renew it next year, will my uploaded songs be removed from streaming platforms, or will they stay online? Thanks!
Great video thank you! I'm about to release my first single and I'm new to Landr. Probably I will choose the "Distribution Pro" plan... just one question, probably stupid one😂 but, am I free to choose a specific release date? do I just clic on the calendar and type it in? cheers, thanks
About to move from TuneCore to LANDR. TuneCore was good but I felt they stuck their heads too much into the art. Your artist name can't be too "generic" and their specifications for cover art are too aggressive. Basically with TuneCore, you can't get too creative with your cover art. And I don't appreciate that all. I also love the sheer amount of things on offer at LANDR. Really excited.

Ryan, I have a question about Copyrights type. If I used Toontrack EZdrummer 3 on a song would I check the box "The track contains royalty-free samples"? Thank you for this excellent video.
If you are using it as a virtual instrument that is triggering individual instrument samples via midi, then you would check the first box. If you are dragging completed samples (complete beats/finished audio) from a library, then you would check the second box.
I upload only 6 song EPs and got this , "Oops you've reached the Fair usage Limit, Please try Next month " Landr is not Not Truly UNLIMITED like it says. . . . . Anybody else has this problem ?
This might be a silly/obvious question, but would I need to make an account/artist account for each of the platforms that I would want to be distributing my music to? Or would Landr automatically make one attached to my name/music? Awesome informative video btw, has really helped me narrow my options. Blessings!
Impecable tutorial. You say one needs to give the real/original name, but what about the artist/pseudonym name. Does LANDR not ask for it to be included?
Hey, man...two things (and I pose these with full awareness that you're not a LANDR employee): 1 - I'm not sure I understand the cover song restrictions with regard to YT/social media. Luke Comb's cover of "Fast Car" has a combined 66 million views scattered across multiple videos, so it clearly must be possible to distribute monetizable covers to YT, it just appears that LANDR doesn't have the key to that particular closet....and 2 - LANDR still appears to be unable to secure an OAC for artists on YT, whereas DistroKid, Symphonic, and others DO. I've already bought the entire LANDR farm, and I'm completely sold on everything they do well, but that OAC roadblock is a bummer. Is that something you covered in another video?

Great info! I had my original song on CDBABY, I've recently left CDBABY and had them remove my song from all streaming platforms. I'm considering joining LANDR. I've since re-recorded my original song and added some harmonies, fiddle etc... I would like to put my updated original song version on LANDR. My question is should I get a new ISRC code or use the ISRC code from CDBABY? Note the older version of the song has been deleted and no longer will be used. Thanks so much for your time and all you do.😎👍
As it's an updated version of the song, you should use a new ISRC code. If it was the exact same recording, you would use the exact same ISRC code. Be aware that, if you use the original ISRC code on an updated recording, audio fingerprinting might flag this with the DSPs and the song could be removed.

Because what if you want to go only by your stage name and dont want your identity and legal name out there do you just put the stage name or is there something else you have to do??
