Was interested in this until I saw all of the features that appealed to me were locked behind the $500 a year plan. The $15 plan is no different than Distrokid or Tunecore so why would I sign up
Yeah, I think they'd be better suited if they broke that up into monthly payments. It'd be more convenient for the artists and I'm sure they'd get more clientele
@@InfamousAWJ because indie artists don’t have $500 to blow on distribution and it doesn’t make sense if you don’t have a roadmap to make it back. You break it into monthly payments it gives you the ability to make a decision on whether you see the value and can cancel the subscription if needed, without being out of a lump sum of money
@@realjnolan Ok I see, makes sense. I was sort of thinking this way, but then my thought process was that sometimes a year lump some is better than monthly because it adds up with other expenses. You also have a whole year to decide if it’s valuable which imo is ample time. It depends what works for you tbh, but that’s why it should be an option like what you’re saying.
Essentials plan includes video distribution, which costs $100 per year on other platforms. Also includes RUclips content ID. We tried to make it super affordable for artists that need to release videos and track their content on RUclips.
Hey man :-) the RUclips Content ID on Venice Music isn't slippery sloap at all. If you choose when you distributed "Timed Release" and put the release to come out at the today's date and 10 minutes later that you are distributing then the content ID appears when you upload. Also u can just choose Content ID from the stores and not the other stores. that's a great way for producers to do type beats and remain protected. someone let's say that has 200 type beats. signs up on venice just chooses content ID, venice still creates ISRC and UPC codes so if the person has publishing as well they can register. for the content id 10 minutes thing. for example, today's date that i'm commenting is 1/18/2023 and the time is 3:07 AM EST so if i was to distribute a beat i would put it 1/18/2023 3:20 AM EST and then upload my type beat and there you have it content id. now for registration to publishing i can't really confirm if u just put content ID that you can have publishing available. maybe just youtube music too so u can also have a blue name under the content ID info on ur beat. i personally use Beatstars Publishing which they are partners with Sony. Lots of money on pub. my beat becomes available to register with beatstars pubslishing after like 2 business days when my release goes to spotify. venice music has the fastest distribution. itunes / apple in one hour maybe a day. and spotify 2 days. if u put the todays date and 'Timed Release" 10 minutes laters. that's all for me, take care, peace. :-D
Funny thing is, you just solidified why it’s a slippery slope! lol When I speak on ContentID being murky, I’m talking about all of the potential creators that are trying to claim the same content. If you claim the beat, then an artist uses your beat and claims their new song then the ownership becomes contentious. Many artists don’t know they’re not entitled to claiming ownership of songs over leased beats. Not to mention, if you claim ContentID on a beat but then you sell exclusive rights, you can’t go back to your distributor and remove that claim for the new owner. You can whitelist that artist via RUclips or some other 3rd party but it doesn’t make things any less slippery. Thanks for chiming in, though.
@@realjnolan thanks for the fast reply. so if u type on youtube J Dilla - Life . i do not think the rapper that rapped on j dilla's beat has cleared the sample when they distributed with tunecore. u can also email the support at venice and tell them to remove the claim. the real problem now about content ID is when people abuse it with ways that they're music isn't theirs and they just wanna make a quick buck. that's gonna happen with venice i believe if the people find out what we know about the fast content id that works. also if we use the same sample etc. someone is getting claimed. i used to release free for profit beats then artists would distribute their songs no credit and copyright the beat. and if u tell them something they say well it was free. then if u ask for 10% they say oh u re a moron u claim it's free for profit. even for a legend as J Dilla someone gonna take that Miles Davis sample and try to abuse through content ID. u can read stories online that some content id users were prosecuted by law for many years in jail because they abused old un-copyrigghted public domain music. i agree with u that artists don't know that even if they lease the $500 beat that i'm selling i'm still the owner. producers in major labels sell a beat for $50,000 then ask for 15% from distro and pub, then u have all the other factors, the loopmaker, the sample maker and etc. 200 type beats for me sound good for the idea that you are not selling them. u just state for youtube promo. just for a youtube upload. many rappers don't distribute their music they just rap for fun on youtube.
the price is steep but im not mad at it. In my experience you know you really believe in something when you’re willing to put your money down. Most artist spend near $500 a month on weed and other vices no problem. Make the sacrifice and invest in yourself. $500 year is nothing in comparison to what you’ll make being a successful musician.
Cut back on buying shoes and eating out and clothes etc you find money for BS you want then find the money 💰 to invest in your career news flash running ads on Google Facebook and Instagram cost money no way of getting around it.
I don't recommend CD Baby to anyone, personally. They overcharge and their services aren't anywhere near what most new age distributors are doing. To be honest, if you're new to releasing music I would suggest using DistroKid for awhile.
Hi. I’m the founder of Venice and want to reassure you that we’re committed to getting this right. We spent a couple of years building our artist community before opening it up to the public. The idea is to empower artists with as much information on how to be successful.
Love this video keep updating the review on this company great job
dope fam!!!!!!!
What's the new prices of essential plan?
Essential plan is now $59/year, not bad.
How long it takes to pay?
Can I ask for a Vanesia account directly, because it's too difficult for me to pay to subscribe, it always fails, my bank account is rejected
No you can’t ask for an account. Not sure why your bank is rejecting

Is it possible to upload instrumental album with venice music?
Yes, I believe so
@@realjnolan thanks!
All the plan is unlimited artist?
Yes all their plans are unlimited releases
The Essentials plan is now $60. That is ridiculous. Would have went with them if it was Actually $15.

@@troycarter686is there any talk of the plan being able to be broken up into monthly installments rather than a yearly fee?
That cheap mentality you want get no where
What is takedown protection meaning?
It means that if you forget to pay your monthly fees you’ll have up to 30 days grace period before they take your music off all platforms
Even if we no longer want to use them but keep music up how to go about
