In high school the big three were this (HVAM), Max 300, and Rhythm and Police. If you had the stamina to pass all 3 in one credit, you were god-tier amongst the arcade.

The death run (for its time) at the end is still one of my favorites to play in DDR.
In the songs context it totally would be a "life" run
I love the foot switches in time with the tune, this was the prime example of how to make long streams interesting.

Just Perfect Full Combo’d this classic two days ago. And let me just say...
Oh. My. God.
I’ve been playing this series since 1998, but never really took it seriously until this year. I’ve only just taken it seriously enough to consider and hone my playstyle and skill. There were equal parts triumphs and frustrations in the harshly paved road, and even then the former most definitely dwarfed the latter.
When I got fully into DDR in March, I never imagined that this song would be within my reach. I was so convinced that I’ve many months before I reached the necessary caliber. Then Wednesday happened, and I attempted this song on a whim, hoping to get a PFC in the DDRMAX folder, which was the only version folder I didn’t have a PFC in at the time. Of course, I didn’t nail it on the first try, but I was beside myself with the Single Digit Great run that I’d done.
Several attempts later that day, my body was nearing total exhaustion. With the last ounce of strength remaining, I mustered it all and focused like nothing before.
And the final two steps scrolled in.
And the screen flashed and chimed... Perfect. Full. Combo.
To think that I could actually do something like this. Conquer a seemingly-insurmountable obstacle. It was mind-blowing.
This is definitely one of the most important PFC’s I’ve gotten (I’m well-above 100 now). I love this song and stepchart even more now, and I owe it to them for showing me the potential within me. Within anyone willing to try.
TL;DR, awesome song and chart, ecstatic to PFC it. Viva la DDR!!

This chart used to intimidate me back in the day, seeing people overplay this on a Supernova 2 cab. Now its just like a walk in the park seeing how difficulty levels really progressed through the DDR games.
Still like my favorite song in the series.
One of THE smoothest charts ever. So much fun and flows well, despite the Daikenkai steps sprinkled about.
Every time I hear this song, I just think of 12 year old me playing DDR Max on my PS2 and soft pad. I was so happy the first time I cleared this. XD Still a VERY fun song and one of my go-to's.
even though the score seems simple, you can realize that the steps are quite tricky. i think this is good with 13, same reason with ubertreffen esp.
This needs a Challenge chart so bad, could easily be 16-17

Back when I first played this song on DDR A, I couldn’t keep up on the final stream. A year later after practicing on MAX/Extreme/X PS2 and 5th Mix PS1, I finally FCed it on the gold A20.

This could have very much been a 10 on the older scale (especially if “bag” could be rated a 10). You could probably even make an argument for it being a 14 on the newer one too.
