No they really don't. The spins make this so much harder and double stepping it if you have *any* foot speed is much less energy spent and way less disorienting. The spins are cool, and I give props for having mapped the chart that well but they are also really hard to execute accurately at this BPM.
The pressure on the bar can slow you down for some for he quicker moves. If you are a dancer you under stand the momentum of spins for transitions into the next move.
@@tugger Generally yeah. Just' that players generally double step this because of it's complexity and/or if they are going for mega accuracy as it's more comfortable to stay in rhythm that way. Though there are other scenarios where double steps are pretty mandatory such as a hold with one foot to tap the rest and technically Jackhammers (when they aren't foot switch patterns).
@@tugger idgaf, i'd rather double step than learn every body turn i should do. and songs with several body turns like this are obnoxious. i'd rather double step, it's not that hard especially when holding the bar
I saw a DDR machine in an arcade and was like, "Hey, I used to play this as a kid!" After completing this song on heavy, my legs were a disaster! I felt like I was about to get a pulmonary embolism lol
My husband and I saw a machine recently and we like "heyyyy let's play" ... half a song in, my lungs were on fire and I needed my inhaler double time lol
the rhythm and tempo itself isn't that bad for anyone who is relatively well-played in DDR. But gosh dang those crossovers will turn your legs into pretzels, and the spins demonstrated here are pretty much a requirement to play it well.
@@terrealexander4442 D&B is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to DDR machines. Pads are always broken, drunk people stomp (women with heels), etc. But its the only legit machine here in NYC besides Chinatown. Tragic.
Holy crap, he's really nailing those spins! And now I see that playing at 1x speed can be very useful, because it's easier to keep track of the arrows as you look away from the screen during spins. That has always been my problem; I lose my place after I complete spins.
In my opinion(least the way i use to play) its easier to read on 1.5x speed for most songs. Max series songs and a few others stay 1x cause they were already fast(300bpm+)
I can tell you from experience, once you find your balance it becomes a hell of a lot easier. Plus you start to trust yourself when you get familiar with the songs.
I nvr ever used the bar no matter how fast or hard a song was. I hated the bar. I wasnt the best of the best but i was top 5 in my groupie back in my ddr days. God i miss the days...
Heck yeah No Bar Club for life There's some fun songs without a bar and spins. Try Brilliant 2U Orchestra Groove on Challenge, or Trip Machine Luv Mix. Or if you're a masochist, put Tsugaru on shuffle
Absolutely great performace, I've been semi retired for awhile now. Haven't gotten serious with it in quite sometime now but it's coming back slowly, keep it up.
I no bar this all the time and many of the spins he does are just flourishes (i.e. he double steps to add them in on purpose - no spin is neccesary for many of them - e.g.1:00) - It's a fun song and I love the final run as the foot switches line up with the music so well.
It's a game where you have the hammer and you have to whack ghosts on a screen (It was in my arcade, and is pretty fun) but I can't remember the name of it

Más allá del combo, a eso se le llama ritmo perfecto, y es dificil de aprender. El ritmo perfecto permite que el jugador no se canse o pise con duda, ya que podría perder control y por lo tanto llegar a un game over.
A classic, dude on the left absolutely crushed it. How have I not seen this video yet? I saw one a while back where a guy did it on stealth with all the spins. Freaking incredible! So sad what In the Groove completely destroyed the genre for almost 10 years by forcing people to use the bar.
And having unnecessarily insane charts to appease the competitive meatheads, forcing Konami to do an awkward growth spurt with their own original game 🙄 Ain't nobody no-barring for fun unless they know the songs from 20 years ago, or if they're brand-new beginners. But on the opposite hand, ITG's existence improved PIU's foundation by a lot, I respect PIU for essentially feeding off ITG's insane charting formula, but becoming the better/more aesthetic game between them 😂
I was in awe when I saw that, can't believe those spins...

A lot of people don't know the hardest part about this song is the cross over step in the chorus.
the hardest part of this chart nobar are the spins in the start if you arent doublestepping, the crossovers in the chorus are extremely easy
No the hardest part is doing the last part of the song facing backwards
Spins help alot with no barring this pattern
It does, never thought about breaking it down. After seeing the spins, the recovery seems easy.
its the correct way to do it no bar...its fascinating how he figured that out =)

you are never supposed to double step unless it is a bounce step (like in matsuri japan)

THIS is the way DDR was meant to be played! Player 1.
thats so classic for the other to give up
That last stream after the freeze is so cool -- the chart is built where you're stance is switching forward and backward every 2 bars (16 notes)
Thanks for that tip

The chick in the background whacking the screen with a hammer. Wtf was she on?
