Always loved Judge Judy. She has old fashioned values, common sense, and logic working all in that smart head of hers. She is just so brilliant of a person. What ever she chose to do in life she would have been a success at it. Just the kind of person she is.
She also has very forward thinking. She believes the Supreme Court should allow gay marriage nation wide, believes in birth control and living together before being married. She also thinks people should pay their taxes. I think she represents the best of both liberal and conservative ideals.

pjgumby worst judge I've ever seen. I judge is not supposed to have prejudice. She has lots of prejudice toward people and will not listen to all the facts if they are not dressed properly, speak properly, etc, etc.
As a Judge she could smell (bull) shit a mile, no, ten miles away by now. She has seen, heard it all in one lifetime that would a few lifetimes for a normal person wouldn't even suffice. She's wiser than anyone I know, I trust her judgment. Can not put anything past Judge Judy, I used to be sorry for her kids! LOL! Give her some credit, working in a family court for eons in a tough city, don't you think she would have grown a pair of brain lobes in that time? Judge Judy cuts to the chase, cuts away all the hand holding, she gets to the issue at hand, she won't be nice and it won't be pleasant. But she is fair because she can read your soul like a book. That's the reason why some dislike her.
We all have our opinions don't we. I don't believe she is always fair. She is an old lady. Do you really think she is in tune with what young people really do, say, etc etc? She often makes judgement based on other things than the law.
She's so freakin' elegant! Love her show could watch all day!

I'm addicted to JJ reruns. I've probably seen all her episodes. It's rare that I disagree but, I have from time-to-time. I love the energy she has. I get bored easily. Not once have I ever been bored with JJ. Marlo Thomas, and "That Girl." How can I forget Marlo Thomas. My ex belated father-in-law called me "That Girl" all the time. He said we could pass for twins. Anyway, I admire both these women.

Judy Scheindlin is a character. A bit easier going than on the series, but I still wouldn't mess with her. AMEN, JUDY!!!! Re: posting stuff on the net (facebook, twitter ) that can have a long term effects. Judge Judy is a common sense gal. Too few of those people around anymore.
Again, AGREED. Parents passing the buck on teachers or whoever else. Once upon a time, it was the parents responsibility to teach their kids NOT to be bullies or whatever. Now, the parents try and tell the teachers, "What about you...?" KIDS learn by EXAMPLE!!!! 100% agreed, Judy!

This lady, Judge Judy, is awesome. I've been a fan for a long time. More for her interviews than for her program. She is common sense and no nonsense. Reminds me of my mom. Who was a Bronx Science grad and went to Mary Mount, but sharp, an independent thinker and common sense no b.s. type. Awesome lady.

There are so many BS shows on TV. Judge Judy is such an upstanding person and female role model, with so much wisdom to offer. Let's throw "the view" in the trash and put Judge Judy, judge Toler, judge Mathis, the verdict judges, the cutlers, maybe with a little Steve Harvey... that might get to the point of the wholesome, watchable tv shows that used to exist-but with real, smart people. The world, certainly the US, needs the wisdom of folks like this.

Thank you for that comment about teachers. I am tired of parents saying to me...he doesn't do that at home or what did you say to him? Parents please take responsibility. Teachers work too hard and deserve respect.

What i enjoy most about Judge Sheindlin is her knowledge. And how she shares it. If society wasn`t so backward this woman would probably be the Supreme Court Judge. I was sort of hoping CBS would have designed something a little different than the current court show. Nevetheless, I`ve been watching since 1996 and will continue to do so until 2015. Excellent guest for any talk host.

I am not into T.V. reality shows as a rule, but I find Judge Judy's attitude to anti social behaviour refreshing; I wish our society in England would be more on the side of considerate and caring people. If they don't the future will be frightening!!. would love to meet her.

This is really good, I always viewed Judge Judy as arrogant and uppity. Marlo did a great job of bringing out the intelligence and humanity of Judge Judy, how & why she makes her on-television show decisions, underscoring her understanding of law; but also of her understanding of human beings.. I have now gone back and watched Judge Judy in action (here on youtube) after viewing this interview and find her to be true to her explanations and representations of herself in this interview. I actually admire her--and, feel she's appropriate.
I'm really impressed with Judge Judy's ability to 'cut through honed personality self-lies, real lies, cons & manipulations and hidden motivations. Watch her in action!!!!! She's good!!!!!

We were born the same October month and the same year. I was called Judge Judi by my teen daughter,and I feel I was more permissive with her, but it all turned out great. i am no nonsense, but I tend to be quiet, and never get angry, but God and I do get even big time. Karma is real folks!

I have been a long time fan of Judge Judy. Unfortunately her integrity and the integrity of our legal system is a far cry from the justice we expect and receive. I have been to court; mercifully only a few times, and I can only say that as a victim you are the one that is put on trial and victimized again due to court costs, aggravation and the undeniable bias and incompetence of the judge that hears your case as well as labyrinth of legal procedure, protocol and ambiguity of interpretation. Our legal system is designed as an industry so as to discourage litigation and profit as much as possible from those with the highest emotion of seeking justice.

I got a kick out of all the reporters saying "Barac Obama is dead!" Personally I was horrified. It took some time to realize the reporter had screwed up. The REALLY sad thing is so many reporters made that mistake!
@ 6:00 I have a friend who is a school teacher. On a Friday, after school she got home with a big stack of book reports that her students had handed in. Her intention was to grade the reports over the weekend. She went to bed that night and fist thing Saturday morning she woke to find a huge mess. She told me it gave her a laugh to report to her students Monday morning, "My dog ate your homework." She gave everyone a top grade.
