  • Welcome back everyone. Some of you, who have been following me for a while, might remember that I recently began a Montessori Teaching Course. Well Assignment #1 is due in a few days and I'm here (panicking a bit) to tell you what the process has been like thus far.
The last few months have been a rollercoaster of insanity for me. I went through a lot of personal stuff that impacted me in many many ways, including making me put this course on the shelf for a bit.
After I recovered from my rollercoaster life, I realized that I really REALLY needed to start making the teaching course a priority and that I couldn't afford to procrastinate any longer. So, I have been working intensely for the last couple weeks trying to get it all done.
I found an organization system that really works for me and has held me in pace for getting the assignment done on time. I've also learned a lot so far! Watch the video for my entire take on the program so far.

I hope all is great for you! I have a few questions. I'm considering NAMC and I don't know who to pose these questions to other than you. I was wondering how completing the program turned out. Do you think it was worth it? Is the certification respected when looking for employment? Thank you!

Awe man, I was really interested in this program. But I’m not so interested now after I have heard the teaching of the beginning of the universe that they have prepared.

I am with you. I was very close to signing up, but not interested in evolution. I am so disappointed because I really like the math and language.

@@NaturallyLluvme same! Love the Montessori method, but not interested in evolution. Any one know of one that includes the biblical creation story (a hybrid that maybe attempts to scientifically explains Genesis)???

I actually like Montessori concept so much. My daughter went to Montessori kindergarten and the school is just in the corner. But it is almost impossible for us to get a place there...

Really? That's so interesting. I never really knew about Montessori until a few years ago someone told me to check it out. I think it's a no brainer to at least have kids preschool to third or fourth grade go. There should be more programs for this or adapt traditional schooling to be more like it. I've been in Kindergarten classes before where the teachers get mad because the kids can't sit still, THEY ARE KINDERGARTENERS IT'S IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM TO SIT STILL!

My daughter is almost 1year old so we have a long way to go before she goes to school. But I like Montessori school. And good luck on your course!

Thank you so much! Maria Montessori says birth to age 6 is the most important time for educating your child because they are able to absorb so much information. Simple activities that involve the hands are utilizing the montessori method. Once your daughter is a bit older, having her help with folding laundry, dusting, and other household chores is a great way to help her work her mind and learn fine motor skills (even if you have to re-clean everything!). Best of luck, and thank you for watching.

Hi Hanna! I’m interested in taking this course but the ECE 3-6 years old. I got a glimpse of how you tried to break it down into bits and pieces that you will need to study each day. Can you share more on that please?
