KILL - 7 (!) lions taking down a buffel. Robrecht @ Ngorongoro-crater Tanzania

cruel scene where seven (!) lions killing a buffel after several attacks. With the previous attacks, the buffel got protection from another buffel, who eventually gave up defending him. you can see hem walking away in the beginning of the video. with the previous attacks this buffel got already injured so he didn't had any chance to survive... date: 6/3/2013 @ Ngorongoro-crater in Tanzania. (not in the picture: male lion was waiting by our car, untill the buffel was dead and when he could go and eat - and later on he did...)

One thing about lions they're HUNGRY not dumb!!! I don't blame them for wanting to let this big massive bull tire himself out before digging in lol...that bull weighs more than 4 lionesses with a hair trigger attitude

Poor buffalo!! Those lions are doing just like the hyenas and wild dogs... They're eating it alive!!! Off course there's a moment in which they'd grab it's throat and suffocate it, but... Such a painful death.

Sad watch, but this is the circle of life.
How smart are the lions to pin it down so it can't roll..
Poor thing.. Wish someone could've atleast put it out of its misery 😢

These are not 7 female lions, 3 of them are definitely young male lions who will probably soon be nomadic males.
And you can see how all of them are scared of going for the throat for suffocation, this is quite often the case with big buffalo bulls.
